Back in the 60's we were all like one BIG FAMILY...and we had FUN! everybody hung out in groups of people...you millenials missed a great time ! nothing VIRTUAL about it i was REAL FUN!!! miss those days....long live the TURTLES!
"I was born in 64 and most of these I've heard on AM radio in the 70's and I still listen to them and if You Tube has them on video and audio I'll watch and listen to them,thanks."-📺🤔☕🇺🇸..
Thanks Louise!!! I am so excited that August is getting so close!!! Have tickets and am so ready for the show !!! Especially the Cowsills!!! After meeting them last year I realized what wonderful people they are !!!!!
Louise - Thank you so much for this Video. The quality is Excellent. And Thank you for all the Documentary Videos you have posted recently. Putting all that together with the Documentary gives us a much better insight of what their lives were like. I know all you have done is no easy task but most likely would never have happened without you. We fans are forever in you debt.
Fantastic video Louise. I attended The Happy Together Tour show last year at the Music Hall in Tarrytown, NY & had a blast. This video is such a cool flashback !
Thanks again Louise for another great video. I attended one of their shows this summer, it was cool. I first saw them live in 1968 at Disneyland for 3 shows. Really a great shows by a beautiful, and oh so talented family. I even had a short conversation with Barry. I think in 1968 and 69, they had their best sound. Thanks again.
Great Video Louise ! I was on the board of directors for "Beach Street Revival " Car show in Santa Cruz for almost 15 years . We had a lot of great groups over the years for our Friday and Saturday night "Sockhops" at the Coconut Grove , The Coasters, The Drifters, Shirelles, Righteous Brothers... also , the Boardwalk has their Free Friday Night Concerts, a lot of the folks in your video have played there. When I went and looked at the list of Bands and groups that have played at the Boardwalk since 1988 I was amazed I got to see so many of them but saddened too because so many members and people have passed on . I cannot believe the Cowsills have never played at the Boardwalk, it is the perfect outdoor venue , and if there ever was a band that fits into the whole "60's" Santa Cruz Vibe, they would be it ! Maybe some day ! ........ Dan
Thanks so much for posting this. I had 2 tickets for the Happy Together concert at the Keswick Theatre in Glenside, PA, but had to work that night and missed the show. This is a very nice consolation. Thanks for the Family Band documentary too. Grew up with 2 abusive, chain-smoking, alcoholic parents (probably self-medicating for depression) and was inspired to see some of the kids seem to have avoided addiction and made it through to a happier life. Those who are gone are surely at peace.
Hi Louise, it was your Cowsills videos on UA-cam from "FamilyBand" that get me back into the band after a long absence. After a week or so of watching the videos, I decided to see the "Happy Together" tour -- and the Cowsills -- at the Snoqualmie Casino. It was a great show. I also bought the "Family Band" DVD at the merch booth and thought you did an excellent job putting it together. Thanks!
the thing that surprised the living hell out of me was how great the cowsills where i always assumed they where like a second string osmonds when actually they are a BETTER beachboys
Thanks for sharing this, Louise. I've wanted to see them perform for years. They did a show in Sioux City this past summer, but I didn't find out until late. I've probably asked you this before, but do you know where I could get one of their tour schedules? I love all those performers, but I'm a real big fan of the Cowsills. God bless them and their wonderful music. They truly are a gift from above!
Sure. I think you can just google The Cowsills and appearances and find some answers. They do have a Facebook page and they are with The Happy Together Tour every summer. cowsill.com/home/appearances/
Im 69 and listened to all these groups Thanks for this
50 years and the music is still great

OMG!!!! Louise........FANTASTIC! Sadly I can't do my radio show as my wife Sue, is bedridden, waiting for surgery.

Consoles?
Why is Susan the only chick on stage? Surely The Archies had some female singers.
Yes, they had two female singers, but one of them is dead. The other is still alive, but her health conditions are not good enough for doing shows.
Sorry! I mean you!
susan
Just sad.
Why?
Love all these groups. However, I wish they would all act a little more mature. Their shenanigans make it difficult to enjoy their wonderful music.
I totally disagree! I think it makes it more fun to watch.
@@renarga6886 nobody enjoys acting their age when they are in their 70's....let them and fans enjoy themselves.
Cowsills were the best! Box Tops were a big disappointment.....
Mish1035 their lead singer Alex Chilton is dead.
Chuck Negron and Ron Dante are the best IMO.
