- Originally from Israel, 14-year-old Maya Gamzu began singing at 3. In 2018, Maya’s family moved to Canada where singing songs in English helped Maya learn the language and adapt to a new country. And her big vocals on Christina Aguilera’s “Something’s Got A Hold On Me” had the judges’ turning their heads! Kardinal made it official, and sealed this young singer’s semi-final status with his Golden Buzzer!

I agree with the judges. Maya got incredible, outstanding potential to become the next star. Voice, performance, stage presence, personality, she's got the whole package. All she needs is professional music, vocal and stage coaching to make a good contestant become a great performer. You go girl!!!
Not sure if this was mentioned in someone's previous comment, but the first time I saw her audition, between her looks (hair/face), personality, and her voice, it instantly reminded me of Motown singer Joan Osborne singing "What Becomes of A Broken Heart" with The Funk Brothers. I can easily imagine Maya doing this song really well.
I agree with the judges. You don't have to like the song to love the singer. That was not the best song for her but my God, if she can do THAT with a mediocre song she will absolutely blow the roof off with the right song. This young lady has a very, very bright future. A purely natural, incredibly gifted voice that 100% deserved the golden buzzer.

This girl has a phenomena voice for being only 14 years old she very outstanding and determined she will go far no doubt. I been sing at 3 years old also but I don’t have the guts to go on the show, and I’m from Canada it’s a dream of mine but I doubt myself a lot. ❤ beautiful performance Maya
Never doubt yourself. You only get one life. It's not a dress rehearsal. If you don't give your dreams a chance they'll become your regrets. Don't let that happen. Believe in yourself.
