Ron Waples senior was the best driver of trotters who ever lived. No other driver could find holes and gaps in the stretch to consistently bring in as many longshots as Ron Waples senior. Ron Waples senior was the master of the sulky.

I chuckled when he said "he didnt need me you coulda put a sack of potatoes on em and he woulda done them same". No sir he probably wouldn't have. The best of the best and if you ever met him or spent time in the back stretch youd know he was a one of a kind man as well!

I love Ronnie. My all time fave. But no, Ralph was not the greatest ever. He was a very, very good racehorse. A total bust as a stallion, too.
