+Nostro Yep, these recent events were awful. Several friends of mine were not far from there when it's happened. That was absolutely terrible. I'm glad that they were not hurt. Probably you are right and at least for a while we'll have to forget about big events in Paris but I hope the situation will get better. Btw, "I won't be in France this year." does that mean that you return to France in 19 days? :)))
+Optimist I'm just spending 2 weeks in Sweden for the holidays. The events were terrible but the government's reaction was (is) even worse. Last year's show was the first new year event we were getting since 2000, the fireworks part was a surprise.
From one hand I can understand the gov's reaction. They simply want to keep people safe, which is good. But if we follow their logic regarding the events: 2000, 2015 ... then the next one may be only in 2030 )) not cool :(
