Dimash is going to have a solo concert in New York DECEMBER 10TH AT 7:00 P.M.!!! THIS IS EPIC, HIS FIRST CONCERT IN THE U.S.!!! Tickets will go on sale on 11th of this month. It will be at Barclay's Center. We need help in promoting. Dimash's U.S. DEARS Love and welcome him but it is sad that there are so many that do not know about him. Even if you are not in the U.S., your help is appreciated. Things like getting him announced on radios, T.V. shows or any other creative way we can let the U.S. know there is a beautiful storm coming. I know I would not want to miss it for the world. "Dimash is divine." It is my statement. Unless I'm mistaken, that is a new recorded low at 1:30 (C2). I'm still not sure what to call that phrase at 3:38.. supernatural reverb? i can give you more. Like i said before Dimash is becoming every year a better singer but he also had out of this world songs in 2017. But before that i must say that Dimash is so talented that beside the things you named so far he can do much more and that almost every song has a suprise in it. The story
behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the
same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart
attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash
revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental
Arab technique, is a funeral lament, paying homage to the dead vocalist!
Bright! The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is
A'Studio. The dead singer left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his
name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together
with Baigaly Serkebyev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in
the video accompanying Dimash.

Thank you for another very informative reaction. The version he sang at Arnau concert june 2019 was even better in my opinion. Yes the melismatechnique is from the cultural heritage in his area. Love when he adds those "worldmusic" elements as he did in Hello (Lionel Richies song) and the wonderful duet of Swan goose with Tengri.

There is a very interesting and talented young russian lady of 15 years old. She blew my mind ... how does she sing like that? you can explain it. Her name is Diana Ankudinova - "Wicked Game" or "Human" and superior "Rechenka". Her voice is amazing ..

The first gentleman standing at the end of the song, is Igor Krutoy, giving Dimash the standing ovation!! Imagine the pressure Dimash had of having Mr. Krutoy in the audience. That's the first time most of us, < Dear>, got to see Igor. Soon after, He and Dimash gave us " The Love Of Tired Swans " ,"Mademoiselle Hyde" and " Love is like a dream " and the latest "Ogni Pietra"

Ah, one more thing ... please do not laugh ... you are also the only reactor who wasn't like "OMG! What was thaaat!?!?" at the part where he uses the arabic melisma and indeed, mixed a bit with yodle accents, here and there.

I would clap and scream if I was at his concert. I am curious why Russian fans don’t react spontaneously. A lot of people in the audience almost seemed like they were bored by the performance. Is this normal for most audience in Russians to have blank expressions at a concert? The pianist Igor was one of the few people in the audience that gave him a standing ovation. Some in the audience even looked confused like the two ladies a few rows to Igor’s left side acted like they didn’t know why they are there 🧐😅
Yes it is mostly a cultural thing.
Dimash said in one of hus interviews that audience in Russia are more reserved and if you get them to clap it is a big thing meaning they approved of the performance.
This is where Igor Krutoy saw Dimash for the first time and then came out of retirement just to work with him.
Dimash & Igor are a match made in heaven.

Soprano is the term for the highest female voice. A counter tenor is a male voice that sings in the range of the sopranos.
