  • The best seat in the house isn’t just an expression. Where you sit matters, especially in Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, which seats more than 2800 people. Sitting in the Parquet offers you a full view of the stage, and there’s nothing like being right in front of the action. The boxes of the First Tier come with an outstanding view of the stage and the Parquet. The chairs are elevated for extra comfort and some even have space to hang your coat and store your bag. With clear sight lines and superb sound, the Second Tier boxes offer many of the comforts of the First Tier, but at a lower price. Some swear by this section of the Hall, because of its proximity to a well-stocked bar.
In the Dress Circle, audiences enjoy a panoramic view of the Hall, and warm, well-rounded sound. Legroom is a bit tighter in the first row and steps are somewhat steep, but the views are unbeatable.
Sitting in the Balcony is sitting in history. The seating plot has remained the same since the Hall opened in 1890. The sound is rich and detailed, plus you get an up-close view of the gorgeous ceiling details. So what’s your favorite seat in the house? Let us know in the comments!

Ah the memories of going to concerts here as a kid back when my dad was the senior and artistic director at Carnegie!

I've never been to Carnegie Hall but I think I would love being front center.
