    Enjoyed every minute of the playthrough. Sound effects when reading adventure cards are a nice touch. I'll take it off my shelf and give it another go, I don't think I ever got better than an inconsequential result.

    Excellent! Please consider another try at this game and throw in your expansions! My first attempt at this game ended in complete failure also, but it's such a great game. Team played with my teenager (solo-mode but made decisions together). It was still a memorable game. Inside joke ensued, "You're a bad Nemo!" Thank you again for videos.

    I enjoy the game immensely and have yet to score better than a defeat. I appreciate you going through your scoring. Most do that off-screen and I really did want to see if I was doing it correctly.

    Great play through, Ricky! I did pick this up... great game! I definitely made some “learning” mistakes in my 1st game. Thanks for the Video series.

    Those dice! We're all cringing with you. This game is so much fun. It's a ride haha

    • @Quincy_Morris

      The dice were not to blame. Rolling was average. In Nemos War you want to move as little as possible. In this game he move as much as possible and attacked warships like he had the anti imperialist motive (for salvage though, not for points) he also moved away from treasure tokens. Going after treasure tokens is the primary goal for the explore motive.

    Hi Ricky. Love the videos! Have you thought about adding 2 cheap drawstring bags for your treasure and ship tokens? Might help with concealing those draws.

      it's okay, I rescued all souls on board. We celebrated with a seaweed feast and an Enchantment Under the Sea dance. Ziggy played guitar.

      I agree, after passing The Iceberg at 28:50, you got +2 Action Points which broke the routine as you used them immediately after receiving them.

      @@BoxofDelights I was just about to mention this. It's easy to forget which is an Event Card, and which is part of Adventure. And when making tests and getting actions, it's easy to lose your place. Enjoyed the play-thru. I realized I have been placing ships incorrectly and not "painting the board" like you should.

  • @silkbox7553
    @silkbox7553 4 роки тому

    6:27 You're dead before the ship placement. Every slot is occupied by either a revealed or unrevealed ship. That's one of the lose conditions.

    • @michalhaggimklimes

      Lose condition is when every slot is occupied by either a revealed or unrevealed ship and you can not place ship. But he is still able to place ship ;)

      @@michalhaggimklimes 'Every Ocean is completely full of ship tokens (revealed or unrevealed) when a warship needs to be placed anywhere in the world.'

    • @BoxofDelights
      @BoxofDelights 4 роки тому +10

      it's not well written, I agree, but rule 14.3 is referring to the event that Rule 10-D has kicked in and there are no empty spots on the board; so as long as you can place a ship before you get to 10-D then rule 14.3 is not applicable. But the rulebook could have been clearer. So we keep going without losing. Losing this way only happens when you can't place a warship in the rolled ocean or adjacent, i.e. there are no hidden ones or white ones to turn over to warships, then the warship is deemed to be "going hunting" and will find ANY empty space in the world: if there is none, then it's game over. Hope this helps! R.R.
