I love all horses, but the Suffolks have a special place in my heart. My grandpa, many years ago, worked horses on the farm and in the woods. My favorite thing to do was go to grammas and gramps so I could go with him, whatever he may be doing. No trailer, just an old truck with a wooden body and he'd back up to a bank and load them on. The only downfall was, he had to be sure of a place to load and unload if he had a logging job. My favorite mare was named Diamond, she was awesome! Great memories and that is why I love your channel. Thank you. Beautiful job backing in the shed boys.
Yes, the backing these horses do, is amazing. When I had horses, I was lucky to get mine to back 2-3 steps!! They were not driving horses. Jim’s horses certainly have a lot of trust to back so far without seeing anything behind them. It amazes me each time.
The time has gone so fast. I remember the video when we first met the baby red beauties, and here they are on the payroll. At least a heavy manure spreader doesn't stay so heavy for long.
They are beautiful!! I love all horses. I think they are amazing special and deserve tons of respect love and the best care we can give. I fell in love with a draft team when I was very young. Patches and Dobbin. I could watch them for hours. Best memories ❤
Hey Brenda, I'm glad your chickens move away when the mowing happens ! I'd hate to see them go legless and you have all those "drumsticks" everywhere !! Ha, Ha !!
wow what a nice pair..they are so handsome together...super picture. 🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵Duke and Earl,,,haha ..youve both have done a super job..this was like a true visit today. very nice..hugs..curt and sue
Thanks Jim! you're taking the nut and washer of your Mower Bar Arm that Holds the Mower Bar up, reminded me, that I needed to run a Die over my 7/16 " inch Natina Cours Threads. They got a little rusty from lack of use, and I had a hard time removing and put my Nut and Washer on. A matter of every day Matanane and everyone's safety! I picked these 2 Mowers up a couple years ago, and I'm restoring my old Mccormic Deering Mowers back to usable. they have 6'FT. Mower Bars, and i picked up a pile of rusty extra parts. The wood is shot, the tongs were cut down for tractor use. : ( Quoting the US General from the Battel of the Bulge NUTS!
I've always heard that the Suffolk horses were easy going, not very excitable. Glad to see those youngsters out and about. Hope y'all don't get flooded again.
Brenda despite the crazy weather, your garden and flower beds are beautiful this year. I absolutely love your butterfly bush it rivals my neighbor's across the street from our home❣️ Great drone footage today Jim it's fun seeing everything from the sky.
The lighting in this video is particularly magnificent, with the watery sunshine under those dark clouds. In places, it puts everything in such stark relief. Jim, you just got paid the biggest compliment by my husband that it is possible for him to give. He just compared you to Charlie King, the head man in his uncle's stable in the years where they had multiple champion steeplechase horses. He said that like Charlie, you can be counted on to always do what is right for the horse. You have no idea what a high compliment that is from him. I've known him 32 years, and I've never heard him compare anyone else to Charlie.
The colts did a fine job pulling the spreader! And it surprised me how good they backed it in the barn! I thought it may take a couple of tries backing in, but they did great on the 1st try. Didn't look like Baron even broke a sweat doing the mowing! Oh I love Abby's new kittens she got from the barn! There must have been a Siamese tom cat that bred with your mama cat since one kitten looks Siamese!😘 I love all the little black kittens that Skippy was playing with.
Jim, you have quite the variety of well trained horses to use for all your jobs!! The grass sure looks nice! There is alot more traffic! I didn't think about it til you said something!! Your garden is so pretty! Oh! Look at your flowers!! They're beautiful!! Cool!! I'd love to have a drone!! Can you take pictures of what you see? Ooo!! It is kinda loud!! Haha!! No sneek peeks!! 😂 Love these videos!! 💕
THEY DID THAT LIKE OLD PRO's! Yay Duke and Earl and Jim. Billy tsught them well.!. And Barry doing so well on the lawn.!. I watch Vt Chnnl 3 News to see what the weather is like for northern. NY. Im so glad you were able to save your hay inspite of all that aweful rain.!.. thinking abt yall. Good thots.!. Hahaha Great natrations Brenda nd Jim. I loved droning a view of the grazing horses. Hope your weather clears up for ya!. God bless
The garden bushes and flowers are lovely Brenda! What great footage of all the horses. I thought for sure Skippy would snatch that drone right out of the air! As active as he is he's sure learning to hold back! Even with the kitten conference!
The dream and passion of working with horses never die. I have a story; my aunt grew up with horses and raised a foal and all she did was ride and went in shows with the horse after many years her health went downhill and had to sell her beloved horse and could not ride anymore but the horse travelled 2-3,000 miles back to her a few times before that stopped and this is a good memory of my aunt, she has passed now many years ago. 🙏
I love how Baron looks like he is high step strutting pulling the mower @ 12:30. Just has that look of yeah, "I'm the big boy and look at me doing my thing!" Duke & Earl did such a great job on the spreader today. I think those 2 will shape up to be a beautiful, hard working horse team, since there is no C names of horses in your herd, they will have to be known as the D&E Team! 🙂 Since you already have the B team. I love Bree's platinum blonde mane and tail, she is going to be a beauty! I also think Skippy had a growth spirt. As always, love the content and please keep it coming.
Duke and Earl are a good looking team... and the backing in the barn was good as well. Really love the spring in Baron's step....He moves like a noble horse.
Beautiful Video. Love the team Jim you have such control of the horses. Also the equipment is always interesting such was used by my great grandfather in Kansas and its interesting to me thinking of some of the work he too must have done on their farm. If you recall my contact many years ago he's the one who got killed while working a team of horses when my grandmother was just three years old. Thanks for sharing love your entire family and the countryside.
Beautiful drone pictures. Watching this video shows the results of excellent training that also included much patience, caring, and understanding. You should be proud Jim of your excellent work!!!
Your garden Brenda is looking awesome, beautiful👍🏼👌🏼. Was away on holidays, so trying to catch up on your videos. The horses are looking good. Will be interesting to see the two sisters in a year. 🤠🇨🇦
Hey Jim and Brenda, what an excellent episode today. Duke and Earl worked so well on the manure spreader. Duke is really starting to maintain his walking pace with Earl They backed into the barn was excellent . They're really listening to you Jim. Baron was impressive drawing the single horse mower , what great practice working a young horse on short circles. I'm really becoming a fan of the Suffolk Punch Breed of Horse.
Wonderful video! Duke and Earl seemed to work together well. Brenda, your garden is beautiful. Baron has certainly gotten to be a big boy! Always refreshing to watch. 😊❤
What a great ending to another great video !! It sure is green in your 'neck of the woods ' !! Thanks to all the rain you get. How many inches of rain do you typically get on your farm ? Here in San Diego, we ONLY get about 10" on average in a YEAR !! Somewhat desert here !!
Boy, Brenda, your flowers look beautiful. I noticed that you don’t have that thing you’re trying to sell upfront. With all the extra traffic on your road might move it up and put a bigger for sale sign on it.
Always wanted to cut my lawn that way & started to gain what I needed to but "things" happened. Wish there was a tiny home next ti folks like you with a storage shed I could rent with space to garden. Have looked but none I've found so just watch Y'all.
Hi Jim + Brenda Great video yet again, much appreciated for sharing,👍 up from me.Great to see the master @ work!would definitely be a farm I would enjoy to work on if we lived near but unfortunately I’m in 🏴 (uk) 😆
Lol stay waaaay away from that piece of equipment!!! We have an Allis Chalmers poo spreader and it deposits poo from the front. Reason being that as the poo empties some weight and traction will still be on the front instead of the back where it would be drag you down the wrong way... I don't know it that makes sense but the makers were pretty smart I think. Haha naughty zippy!! Glad he doesn't want to really hurt the kittens
Brenda your hot house 🏡 looks amazing as does your garden. Skippy didn’t know what to do about that drone,it kinda scared him Lol. Anyway have a great week. From Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
All the horses are beautiful, but there is just something about Baron. He is majestic. And Brenda I love your greenhouse area. It is gorgeous.
That is a handsome team. Good boys.
My dad said those are some beautiful horses
Your garden, Brenda, is absolutely lovely with all of the fall flowers and foliage!!
I think they did very well for a firs time to gather! Let's do it again, soon:)
Brenda, my wife loves your flower garden. Just beautiful. Jim you are about the best horse trainer ever seen. Love watching what the two of you do.
Duke and Earl are learning a lots this days congrats to you Jim.
All three horses did a great job. Adorable ❤

Now that's a very powerful 1 horse power mower.
The time has gone so fast. I remember the video when we first met the baby red beauties, and here they are on the payroll. At least a heavy manure spreader doesn't stay so heavy for long.
Without a doubt, my favorite videos of the week are WHWJ !!!
They are beautiful!! I love all horses. I think they are amazing special and deserve tons of respect love and the best care we can give. I fell in love with a draft team when I was very young. Patches and Dobbin. I could watch them for hours. Best memories ❤
They look so gorgeous in their working outfit!
Jim almost running over that black kitten trying to get away from the dog made me gasp😳
You can tell Baron is not to sure but he trusts jim
These 2 brothers are going to make a very good team
Half Brothers
Hey Brenda, I'm glad your chickens move away when the mowing happens !
I'd hate to see them go legless and you have all those "drumsticks" everywhere !! Ha, Ha !!
Baren does really good job cutting grass.
wow what a nice pair..they are so handsome together...super picture.
🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵Duke and Earl,,,haha ..youve both have done a super job..this was like a true visit today. very nice..hugs..curt and sue
Jim, I think it's time to loosen the purse strings & upgrade Brenda's push mower to a riding mower. I believe she's earned it. Peace ✌️
A Kubota Tractor. 😀
John Deere are so pretty .Love that green and yellow. Not cheap .😊😊😊
Thanks Jim! you're taking the nut and washer of your Mower Bar Arm that Holds the Mower Bar up, reminded me, that I needed to run a Die over my 7/16 " inch Natina Cours Threads. Those harnesses are beautiful on them

❤ They looked so proud pulling. Supervisor Skippy agrees ! They back up a trailer better than most people do with trucks n mirrors.
Our skies looked like that late last week here in Missouri. Finally rained on Saturday
Duke and Earl are coming along very nicely! 😂😂😂poor Skippy didn’t know what to do with that giant skitter!
Thank you Jim and Brenda. Duke and Earl are spreading the news😂❤❤❤❤.That is the best looking matched team and they do such a good job.
Brenda, what a workout you get! You go girl!!
Good Morning, Brenda !! I noticed you keep your distance from that manure spreader while filming !! Obvious reasons - Ha, Ha !!

A spreader is the only piece of farm equipment that John Deere makes that they won't stand behind!😂😂
The lighting in this video is particularly magnificent, with the watery sunshine under those dark clouds. In places, it puts everything in such stark relief. Wow, I feel honored. Thank you
It's like Baron is mind melded to Jim
What pretty boys together
It’s always a pleasure to watch your horses. Do you think you will acquire anymore Percheron’s? I love Ken and was sad that you lost your other one.
Great video! That's the largest 1 horsepower mower I've ever seen! Lol.
Great show! Thanks. When are you going to start driving Bree. She looks big enough. Looking forward to her training......
Excellent well edited video. Lots of interesting topics and camera angles. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The noise of the spreader does not phase these two at all.
Regardless of the excessive rain your garden remains beautiful.
