Reminds me of a life I lived when at university. I woke up just one hour earlier to pray and read. Some lunch times I would fast and pray. When I got back in the evening I crucified the self life and turned off the soccer etc and plinked the bible on the desk and studied and prayed most of the evening. I read devotionals on the breaks during the day. Sadly I’ve lost that. Need to get that back! The flesh screams but the cost was worth it.
Wonderful episode! It inspired me to take my discipleship journey all the more seriously. I’m the lead pastor of a church in SC and I devour so many of the resources you guys offer. So thankful for your ministry!
Yep - this is what I needed. And what I want more of - how your day looks. What does it look like in a variety of Wild at Heart team members lives. When John shared about praying with friends about fall time and the electrician showing up - that was eye opening. I would love ideas like that of what each of your discipleship looks like. I’m like a spiritual orphan that’s never had a family so I don’t know what it’s like to live in one. Take my hand and show me.
This was so good, and really encouraged me to keep going. Thank you so much for all that wild at heart does, there are so many great resources on your website.
I've been noticing this a huge amount at the moment. I feel like this is the hour of the human will. Its like in nearly all that I do I can feel the false life almost like a tumour and the moment I start fasting or resisting some worldly temptation the false life freaks out and it gets like a sort of trigger as though its a nerve. Kind of like when you hit your funny bone and all you did was go out for a walk instead of looking at your mobile. Not going to lie though, looking on Instagram or social media feels almost relieving because there's always a chance that you'll discover some "Good News", so it's understandable why the pull is strong. This was super helpful, I think most of the time we sometimes need to hear other people giving us permission to let these things go and then we can give ourselves permission only to realise we could do it all along.
I have LOVED this riveting series & I find myself wanting to *beseech* you, even though you have plans for your next podcast already, PLEASE KEEP THESE GOING! EVEN A LITTLE LONGER? This is incredibly inspiring & encouraging & I personally, as a single elderly lady, need more instruction & guidance to dive deeper into this! God love yas for this timely offering, I've been feeling it in my soul and seen the darkness ruling in thicker and thicker. I don't know another source that has this kind of Godly Council and instruction. I know that you teach on a wide range subjects so I understand you can't cater to a small group of needs, but I feel like you have just tipped the iceberg of this very deep and unique discussion. I can't thank you enough for your ministry to me personally over the decades that I have followed your ministry. May God continue to richly bless you and prosper you and caused these teachings to go to all those who will hear them! 🙏 🌠🎶💫🔥🙋♀️
Just reflecting on this in Proverbs 8:32-36. Wisdom is speaking: "Now therefore, listen to me, my children For blessed are those who keep my ways. Hear instruction and be wise, And do not disdain it. Blessed is the one who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoever finds me finds life, And obtains favor from the LORD; But he who sins against me Wrongs his own soul; All those who hate me love death."
was very challenged by the statement about stop trying to cram Jesus into your busy life. Jesus needs to be at the center and the rest of our lives have to fit around Him ( my paraphrase)
Hi there. As you may know, it's in the app as part of the Resilient program. We're currently considering this and other prayers for individual use in the App. Thanks for asking.

This was a great series; one that needs to be listened to more than once.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this series! I want to be the practiced follower of Jesus who knows His voice & is ready to respond in crisis. 🙏🏻

Yes!

Could you give more details on the Stories of the Saints book Blaine referenced? Love you guys

Deep discipleship is important and beneficial but it can evolve into a works based theology if not mindful of the drift.
Any possibility you could include the Prayer of Descent as a Pause in the Pause App??

Which Wm agosto album is that music you use?
Most of the sins come through a person. Sin doesn’t come at them! Please expound on this.
