As a Zelda main who is at least somewhat decent at the game, I love watching good zelda players, instead of the standard Zeldas that everybody has come to loathe because they spam the B button like there is no tomorrow
I really wanted Ven to pull off the reverse reflect on the knight. They finally attempted it in the last match but it didn't work out. Woulda been hype though.
The knight has a wind box around it, so even though it won’t do damage it can sometimes serve as a brick wall if you need an escape option to teleport behind 🌬
@@Sol-hu6db look at the way the fox played he did alot of bad options and he didn't even overwhelm with his speed like he easily could have with fox vs zelda
@@Sol-hu6db if you get pressured by zelda as fox in competitive play that's already somthing that shouldn't happen and if you don't pressure with fox vs zelda and try to play neutral your not doing it right not saying either of them are bad but that definitely should not have happened to a pro fox player
I'm not one to root for a Zelda, but I did enjoy watching her blow up a fox that was just speed inputting neutral and back air all game. Never had the courage to go offstage, just sat at ledge spamming nair and bair as fast as his fingers could take him. That's not the gameplay I want to win. Zelda may be a zoner, but at least the Zelda player used his entire tool kit based on different situations. The fox just autopiloted through a few options again and again and again.
imagine believing that going offstage against a character with that up B does anything useful at all and is totally worth trying to fire fox back to stage against Zelda's insane dair
Fox ground game is aerial heavy lol… and why go offstage as a fast-falling char with a very linear and gimpable recovery?? The fox played well against one of the weirder chars such as zelda.
i want to see more d-smash, f-tilt, and u-tilt from the zelda. and WAY more jab. ven must be really good to not use the only OoS options zelda has and win. instant lightning kick is real too. (input jump, nextframe hold away, nextframe cstick forward). vs 50%+ only but yeah.
Zelda's jab, f-tilt and d-smash are not very good. These moves are laggy and don't do much in general. And f-tilt hitbox is so thin that it often miss when it should land. I agree for up-tilt though, it's probably her best move.
@@yvettesaundra8720 Jab - 4 frame startup. D-Smash - 5 frame startup. F-Tilt - 12 Frame startup. Her jumpsquat is 3 frames, and F-Air/B-Air are 7 frame startups, and so they're 10 frames at earliest. Conclusion -- if you WHIFF, my options are worse, but only because you're not moving. Zelda is not the kind of character where you're allowed to whiff her close quarter combat moves. Not boring at all. How much you engage with her may just depend on how well you understand zoning and setups, there's so much interesting stuff in this set.
One of the few Zelda’s that command respect.
camp cheese camp lol does like three moves

self righteous it seems....
As a former Zelda main, I agree
As a current Zelda player, I agree
ven was playing like a top player in this set, bravo!
ven is a top player
Love the 8 seconds of uninterrupted silence between the commentators at the end. Big fan.
Love watching Ven's Zelda

Reverse reverse usually ends in a draw or loss for Zelda sadly.
What is the purpose of using Ghost (Down B) when Fox is respawning?

Last time I saw Ven he had a Bieber haircut. Looking fresh 👌🏻
LFG VEN!!!
I like to thing they kiss in the first seconds.
When you play Slow characters people don’t respect your characters options. A lot of people who play fat characters just live to rush for no reason.
Proof Zelda isnt carried by online
Idk how this fox lost to zelda he probably just wasn't good with the matchup sense he did alot of bad options

Ven needs yo stop dashing into shields, grab into combo instead. Other than that I love watching his Zelda
Horrible decision to charge f smash at ledge game 1. Especially as zelda can struggle against safe ledge trapping.
