Unlike most other tenors, who are, frankly, a bit too bombastic for my tastes, Jonathan's voice is warm and sensitive, and full of feeling; he has the uncanny ability to modulate his tone and delivery on a dime. I have heard some people say that Jonathan's voice is like a cross between this tenor and that tenor, but really, Jonathan's unique voice is in a class of its own.

I imagine this man suffered as he grew up....we all do......but when he found the stage , the lights, and even the cameras, he found his HOME !! He has a wonderful ease when he sings, and can well match up like no one else with Sam Jones, Bobby Hatfield, and of course, Pavorotti !!!
His confidence level has clearly improved greatly! Good for him!

He’s a pop tenor, not an opera singer! He’s never sung an opera and that’s what opera singers do: sing opera in a theatre without a microphone. He has a great voice, but singing opera requires a completely different technique.

I have nothing to teach this young man. And as far as pop singing... We all have to make a living and Opera - which he sings very, very well- demands a long time... He'll get there, don't worry.

I remember well when Jonathon first appeared on Britain's Got Talent, Simon Cowell laughed. He soon stopped laughing when Jonathon began singing! He told Jonathon to ditch the girl who appeared with him she would hold him back but in true Jonathon style he said no I will stick with her like she has stuck with me! I became a fan and admirer from that point on. God speed Jonathon don't ever change.

He has certainly changed. Remember before he sang, and he hardly spoke. Then afterward he did start talking. Now he's wonderfully vocal. He has such a great voice.

I am 88yrs old and listened to a lot of tenors from around world ,but when you and challote appeared in bgt I heard a young man with a great voice, I now believe you have a voice equally as good as pavaroti maybe when it really matures ,I may not be around to see it but take good care of it

Jonathan is a walking talking Divine Inspiration of human possibility and joy! I am so grateful he is so available to the common man! He is one of the best opera style singers i have ever heard! I love Jonathan and he’s such a talented young man. His voice is powerful yet is warm and alluring. I do hope that he gets help with his weight. I’m not criticizing for the sake of being critical rather I worry about the health implications of being morbidly obese. I want to see him live a long and healthy life.
Everybody has heard Summertime sung by various singers and to me, it was just a song that I could take it or leave it. Jonathon ,s version is unique and stirring. I love it now, but only when he sings it. I just love his voice anyway.

What an incredible performance and way to sing summertime. It doesn't feel like if you were just singing, I really enjoy when you sing because to me it's more like a story that you are telling with differents nuances as long as the song goes on. I'm amazed for such a beautiful way you sing a story in your songs.

Jesus John. Have you ever become something. I saw this guy on AGT many years ago. Voice blew me away. His shy and humble charm hiding this incredible voice with a veil of insecurity due to the cruel nature of judgemental peers in youth. I watched his videos from that show then went about my life. Always remember him though. Then I stumble on this and see what he's become. Wow. He has the power and control of a great opera tenor yet he has the sensitive soul and timing of a blues/jazz singer. The way he has mastered the combination of soft and powerful vocal styles within the same piece is nothing short of moving. This video was like a walk in an opium field and now I'm going to slip down a rabbit hole of his music.

@@carljacobson8342 I think I've listened to virtually everything now ,I'm addicted ..Even his rehearsals draw me in ..I have to admit since being a small child listening to my father's 78's ,my operatic heart belonged too Mario lanza ,Even though he died before I was even born ,But for me Jonathan evokes that same love like no other opera singer I've heard since lanza
@@carolynneal102, When I was small I used to love listening to Mario Lanza, too. I vaguely remember the movie The Student Prince but my dad purchased the 33&1\3 vinyl record and we played it often. I loved listening to it over and over.

I especially took to the line 'Nothing can harm you, with Daddy and Mommy standing by'. I'm elderly myself, but there's something in your delivery that surpasses reality. Your orchestral accompianists are PERFECT for you.
Veritasss, I’m 76 years old and have survived the Covid-19 myself. I spent 5 days in the hospital in quarantine. I almost died, but God spared me. He is such an amazing God. My prayers are with you, and I hope you get well soon. The beautiful music that Johnathan sings helped heal my sole also. May our Lord bless both you and this amazing young man.
