I have this bike and agree, he might have gotten a faulty one. When I do just pedal-assist, I've never had my motor cut out. This is my first e-bike, so I really don't have anything to compare it to, but it's definitely been worth the money to me. One of the things to consider with these e-bike reviewers is that they have tested/rode multiple e-bikes, so they have a greater frame of reference than your average consumer, who can't afford to purchase multiple e-bikes to determine which one they like best. Still, appreciate the review, Mike. Keep up the great work.
I've a similar bike from Amazon a Sudoo. Had similar experience out of box. I changed few settings on the bike computer and transformed the way it rides. 1000 miles in and no problems so far. 👍 It's easy to do

Sounds like the pedal assist sensor ring is too far from it's pickup soi it's only picking up an intermittent signal. as long as you keep up a constant cadence it shouldn't cut out unless the motor isn't getting a signal
"the problem with chinese manufacturing" bro is acting like 85% of ebikes arent made in china. spending 4000$ on a bike that you bought in america doesnt mean it was made there. also even the requirements to be considered made in america arent that high. the issue is super cheap maunfacting not all chinese manufacturing. most of your favorite models are made in china and branded with whatever you want.

Did that have a key sticking out of the side of the battery? That's just waiting for the lock to get a little worn and causing the key to drop out in the middle of nowhere...
It’ll be fine. No way is that falling out on its own. I have it on there so I know what bike it goes with when charging the batteries.

Wrong ya Just asking for something to happen to said key , in my opinion it's best to get a easily identifiable key thob that's either easy to remember that's on the key hoop for your e-bike or have one that you can write on like the old school plastic clip together thobs that one can put a label inside of . This stops anyone from stealing your keys from the bike and if you crash the bike you would not need to worry about side impact to key damage ok@@MikeFede

For 1200$ you can get e-bike that does 30 mph throttle only and 33 PAS. and I weigh 210 lbs.
Anything over 28mph is illegal

I have similar cheap ancheer ebike... Pedal assist are crap on this cheap bikes... i suggest using throttle to assist yourself manually how you like... i get 40 miles easy assisting my self and no pedaling at flat when i feel motor is not working hard...
So, you can just pedal while using throttle and not use some "mode" that doesn't work right?
@@OregonDARRYL yeah, you can use it whatever you like, i drive economic and i want my motor to have long life span... when accelerating and i feel i pedal hard i give some throttle just enough to help me maybe 50% me -50% motor rotating wheel... biggest battery consumer is accelerating... that put so stress on battery and drain it like crazy... those pedal assist are so aggressive at acceleration like pressing throttle to max... bad for battery and bad for motor.
You’re much better just stealing someone’s bike instead because paying $500 for a bike is outrageous and ridiculous.

A good e bike starts put at about $800 to $900. I got mine for $450 ans its perfect for what i need
Cant go wrong with 20mph, throttle and 500 bucks. this thing would be more like 1,000 cad
468Wh battery capacity is awful, and a $500 bike is still a bit too expensive. You’re much better just stealing a electric bike free of charge.
You'd run it flat so fast with such a small battery using throttle.

I bought the duplicate of this and for $500 I Love it. Live in michigan so i only have so many days to enjoy riding it so while its summer im on it just about every night after work! Its FUN and good exercise 😁
@@paratoxik922$500 is not cheap, there are literally millions of bicycles going for way under $500. Litclothina, Peyarpark, and hainshow are known for selling electric bikes for slightly under $100. I say if you can purchase a 468Wh electric bike for under $100 then go for it!!! Otherwise if it’s anywhere above $100 then DO NOT BUY IT! Considering that there are so many people making under $200 a year or $0 a year especially if you’re a young teen then $500 for a electric bike is ridiculously expensive.
It seemed like a good deal until you demonstrated the pedal assist modes. Hard to believe that PAS is slower than throttle only.
