There's Super Volleyball and Power Spikes. Two different games, though the 2nd is kind of a "sequel" to the first one. Super Volleyball was ported to Mega-Drive Power Spikes was ported to SNES as "Hyper V-Ball", and they added robots which also exist on Power Spikes 2. The Snes version is kinda slow though.

On which platform you played this? The only good volleyball game I know is beach volleyball on the Amiga.
I believe there is a SNES game with same viewpoint as this, probably a port.
