I love this city. I just made a video showcasing some of my favorite parts of it. I encourage anyone who hasn't visited it to see it for themselves. I fell in love with this place years ago. It feels like home now.

Heading back in August but actually worked for 2 years at the PX on the US Army base there, long before becoming a teacher. From Ansbach to Rothenburg to Wurzburg, the area is beautiful and can’t wait to share it with my family. Keepin on travelin

The Residenz was severely damaged in World War II and wonderfully restored afterwards. The mirror room was actually destroyed and recreated from an old photograph, a watercolor painting and a surviving fragment!

Schonbrunn is a little bigger and has a larger park, but Wurzburg Palace is more lavish and extravagant.

Germany's places of grandeur and importance are spread evenly across the country.

The West of Germany lacks a bit tbh. Dortmund, Düsseldorf for example or Gelsenkirchen are not necessarily the most beautiful. They do however make up for it with the people there. They are quite open minded

A beautiful 18th century painted ceiling with a portrait of the Catholic Prince Bishop surrounded by GREEK gods.
Nominally Christian but when it came to art, culture, elegance and beauty, definitely pagan.
    I wonder why ?
