The first two waves of these are fantastic. I had heard the hyped, but didn't think it would live up to it. After I got mine, I've been painting with them for a bit now and if anything, they exceed the hyped. The metallics and brights are especially good.
I tried some of these at the event at Element Games last week and Shadow Blue (like Thunderhawk Blue but MUCH better to work with) and the Shadow Grey Wash were both so good, I would have bought them right there and then, if I could. Looking forward to the release.
Looking forward to this new brights especially Pale Flesh. I have been slowly phasing out my other paints in favor of TTC. Hope the line continues to experiment and grow!
The few TTC paints I have, I love. Though they are incredibly hard to find in stores in my area. Is there a suggested US based online vender for individual paints?
When you’re able to expand your product to other markets, I’m definitely going to recommend your paints to my local hobby shop because they’re always trying to find new paints to try out.
Finally, a brand with color metalics that will be available in my area. Now we just need some more gloss and contrasts, and i think I will finally quit the citadel lineup.
I love wave 1 & 2 when im using them but wont be getting wave 3. I think its maybe the packaging but the colours just look so dull on my paint rack because of the frosted whiteish bottle. Shame really
Hey man! Quick question: what color from all of your range would you suggest for really getting that bone white color the deathwing is known for? I've been using Citadel's Wraithbone, but I want to make the jump to Two Thin Coats.
How can find a list of stockists here: www.duncanrhodes.com/paint_stockists/ Or you can create a pledge on the Kickstarter here: www.kickstarter.com/projects/transatlantisgames/two-thin-coats-wave-3?ref=nav_search&result=project&term=duncan%20
I backed the first kickstarter because I could pick a few paints I wanted, but with the subsequent kickstarters only being for the entire collection, it's far too much money to spend in one go so, once again, I won't be backing.
It was a tough call for the team at TAG to make but this way it streamlines the process so backers can get their pledges on time. On top of that, as with Wave 2, they will start to be available in stores a few months afterwards.
@@DuncanRhodesDRPAI'm very happy with the paints I have, they're really nice to work with and I look forward to picking up some of the new ones when they get to the shops :D
@oskar6661 Yeah, I started in 2000, but I have fond memories of painting armour, terrain, and other stuff with it. Great choice when painting dark metallics, for sure!
Now that there's three waves, it would be great to see some smaller paint sets with maybe 2-3 triads in? I've liked almost every 2TC paint I've tried, but I'd definitely pick up a multi-pack if one was available!
I've been using my 2TC paints on my new Bretonnians. They cover so well it's made the complex heraldry a breeze. Knights and Duncans paints; a match made in heaven!
Love these paints. I missed the 2nd wave but got the first. I just hope they continue to become more widely available since I'm running low on certain colors and i don't want to have no replacement for them. Watching with much interest 👍
Any idea whether these will be available on a full-sized metal display rack now for FLGS? One of the main reasons we haven't bought in previously at our FLGS is the DIY MDF racking looking and feeling 'cheap' compared to other brands, but with 180 in the range that sounds very much like metal rack territory 👀
backed the full range because...well if your going in....you might aswell make it deep. double deep as the mrs also backed at the full set of all 3 waves too.
I love these paints I've started collecting them from launch, but I have to say the nozel has a real issue, I dont know if its all of the colours but I'd say at leaast half of the ones I do have, even when intentionally tightened very well if the bottle ends up on its side or is stored on its side etc like many do the lid absolutely fills, I assume there is a capping issue within that doesnt seal the paint in or something, but I would encourage a look at the nozel.
It would be good if there were more examples of what each paint looks like on a model - each colour in the triad + a model using all three. I’ve held off on buying several because I can’t find good examples of them online.
Duncan, What color is pallid wynch flesh in one picture its grey, the other is beige did gw change the formula becuase army painter has 2 different colors for it and reddit is no help so im asking the expert.
Is there anywhere we can purchase the entire paint range? I'm late to the game, but everyone I know raves about these paints and I'd like to just grab the entire set.
Oh wow, you actually do a paint range? Nice! I checked it out and was pleasantly surprised you replicated the old glaze paints. Now, that commitment brings me to a question; Any plans to bring the old GW inks back in some way?
Hi Duncan! I'm curious how many more waves are coming after this one. I'd like to buy the whole range, but I'd prefer to wait until It's complete. The new metallics look awesome, by the way.
I have two paints from Duncan's range - Sanguine Scarlet and Fury Green and both are very nice to paint with. Great coverage and just a nice creamy consistency that doesn't fight you to get going.
Hay do you take color set recommendations if so could y'all make a set of paints perfect for post apocalyptic style texture and effect paints like rust mud oil dirt tire rubber burnt metal soot chipping paint effects and stuff
I haven't backed the Kickstarters (I simply don't need many more paints), but I've used a handful of the TTC line and find them pretty solid. I've got too much AK/Vallejo on my shelf to bother reinventing the wheel, but it's nice to see this line expanding!
Wish I could back these but my budget just doesn't allow it, I will say good luck though Duncan, the paints I have tried from your range are beautiful and I fully intend to have them all... eventually. 😁
180 bucks for 36 new colors is way to expensive duncan. Ok they are better citadels, but the price is completely nuts. I know you want to earn money, but its even not 18ml bottles. The paints are fine though, but boy........cmon, maybe im not enough fan to see why i should buy these instead of the 2.5 amount of some other brand.
Unfortunately, I missed the first 2 pledges, but my hobby store did carry wave 1, which I have now bought all of. The washes apply like a dream, and I need as many as you guys can create! I am also really excited about those metallic paints!
I'm going to be joining this kickstarter as soon as i can; but i do have a question, how can i get ahold of wave 1 & 2 stuff when i run out? Are there any major distributors i should look into?
Oh boy. There were more coloured metallics than I thought there was. I may have to pledge on this one.

I wish I hadn't just unironically laughed at the Warmaster/Traitor/Legion green triad
Is another kickstarter planned so people ( including me ) can get these awesome paints in the specific waves again in the future?
Dude fuck yeah!!!! Youre the guy that got me started with mini painting ive started gettign some of your paint and tbh my favorite paints atm
Wave 1 and 2 kickstarters were handled great. Instant day 1 back from me for wave 3.
Got wave 1 and 2. Time to recomplete the collection with wave 3. Really want to use that Omega Blue on something!
TTC are some of the best paints money can buy and i cannot wait for Wave 3 🙏

Yes! Your my go to brand of paint for all my ASOIAF and Mesbg stuff ❤
Looking forward to this new brights especially Pale Flesh. I have been slowly phasing out my other paints in favor of TTC. Hope the line continues to experiment and grow!
We sure aim too!
What is the music used in the video?
The few TTC paints I have, I love. Though they are incredibly hard to find in stores in my area. Is there a suggested US based online vender for individual paints?
When will Wave 3 release? I see quite a few colours there that my would-be Imperial Knights army would look great in.
When you’re able to expand your product to other markets, I’m definitely going to recommend your paints to my local hobby shop because they’re always trying to find new paints to try out.
TTC is available in shops in the US.
I live in Canada and the only place that sells his paint is in Ontario far away from where I’m at.
I'm definitely gonna try the new washes and metallics!
Backed! Colors look awesome.
any plans on making airbrush paints in the future?
When is wave 2 going to be released in the US?
So far I only have 8 paints from the TTC line and man I love Trooper White and Vampire Fang!
Just pledged! Getting the whole range!
Finally, a brand with color metalics that will be available in my area. Now we just need some more gloss and contrasts, and i think I will finally quit the citadel lineup.
Cool as always.🖌
Already got the early bird the moment it opened.
Awesome and thank you so, so much

Those metallics are looking good, esp. the gold. Are they mica or aluminium-based?
Given the price, I’d hope they’re gold-based.
@@liberalhyena9760 eeeh it is what it is. It's not like liberator armor is cheaper, especially per ml ;p

Vampire Fang mixed with a little White Star 😊

Stop taking all my money Duncan (don't stop)
Bitz o' Tin 🤩 I miss good ol' Tin Bitz...
A genuine classic...and I say this as a guy who started in the early 90's!
@oskar6661 Yeah, I started in 2000, but I have fond memories of painting armour, terrain, and other stuff with it. Great choice when painting dark metallics, for sure!
Hey guys, I wanna ask a question. Are there any plans for you'll to eventually do your own contrast style paints?
Man I LOVE this paint range. Really looking forward to those colored metallic paints! That metallic purple in particular looks amazing!

I think that’s a great idea! Maybe even a small discount for buying a set? 😅 Being able to mix and match triads in a set would be ideal.
One hundred and eightyyyyyyy! Super, smashing, great.
Awesome to see how far the paint range has come. Some absolutely beautiful tones in this next wave. Best of luck with the Kickstarter 👍
Thanks a ton!
Q: How do you paint a terracotta army?
A: With Two Qin Coats

How about trying to keep the first two waves in stock at the stores that sell them.
Give your local hobby store a nudge to contact TAG to re-order and they will get them out to the store asap 😊
