Swastika is a beloved symbol representing peace and prosperity in all Indic Dharmic Religions- Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism(I guess it is so in Sikhism, should verify once). All Indian temples have Swastika FOR SURE. Without Swastika, the temple is incomplete. If I start reading a book, I draw the symbol Swastika first on the front page- it gives me a sense of positivity and encouragement. Because Swastika symbol is also associated with knowledge and wisdom. It is a 100% positive symbol. Hitler really messed it up. It was earlier known as "Hackenkruz". But, Hollywood started using the word Swastika for the Nazi Symbol, thereby popularising the association of word Swastika with evil and destruction.
Also we make swastika when we buy a new vehicle

We don't have swastika in Sikhism. We'll respect the symbol but for what it means to Hindus/Jains. Within Sikhi it holds no relevance.

The Nazi's didn't actually use the Swastika, they used the HakenKreuz or the tilted cross.
The Swastika represents the Sun's trajectory whereas the HakenKreus represents Saturn's. Same, but very different!!
I live in Gujarat and there are many Jain people in our society/neighbourhood, and jain monks or we call them munis, they take food not only from jains but sometimes from us too (and it is a matter of great achievement for us that a Jain munis accept alms/bhiksha from us). And yes they take only fresh food (without onion/garlic and without Root vegetables).. When a monk/muni comes to our house, it is a matter of honor for us.
They are part of our culture and society and we are proud of them.

Brahma is the force who created universe
Shiva is the point where all will end
Shakti(devi)is energy,is given femenine form because mitochondria(powerhouse of cell)are inherited from mother.
Next are deities (surs) which are bound by karma like Indra dev,vayu dev,varun dev,agni dev they are superior than manushya(human)

I'm vaishnav(baniya) not jain but many of my relatives are Jain and whenever I got to any of functions of them, believe me despite they don't eat potatoes, Garlic and Onions....the food they cook without that is so good that it won't even remind you that it is lacking something when you are having it...it's all tastey spicy and delicious
In Navratri we don't consume onion and garlic but the food tastes the same for me...
this uses of onion and garlic increased in Our Bhartiye culture due to the lack of nutrients increasing with passage of time

I have many friends from different religions and i have basic knowledge about all and i think Jainism has the toughest set of practices. respect and appreciation to all the Jain monks they are indeed a special kind of humans.
Definitely the toughest and the most difficult way to live a life is of our jain monks...It is not everyone's cup of tea but that is the only way to attain or even get close to attainment of Moksha

I'm jain and i followed your channel from January 2016 the almost beginning of your indian stuffs and i really appreciate that you reach this level on india's history and about jainism. If you want to follow jainism try with lighter side and littlebeat more everyday. A little more eventually you will found yourself somewhere in between and thats more satisfying live you ever gonna live.

There's a correction. "Hinduism" and Jainism are way more ancient than "400 BC". Infact there is no religion called Hinduism. It's Sanatan Dharma and Jainism is a branch of it. The first Tirthankars of Jainism were ancestors of Lord Ram. Shri Ram was descendant of Rishabhdeva and Bahubali.

I am a Jain and what I have realized is Jainism is all about being a good human, where you believe in live and let others live. Jainism, Buddhism and Sikhism are not separate religions. These are the sects of Hinduism. At present, they have been given the form of a separate religion. Every religion of India teaches non-violence whereas the religions of Abrahamic tradition teach killing others, doing violence and killing living beings, eating meat etc.

Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Zoroastrianism are the same thing presented differently. They all represent the Sanātana Dharma. They are not separate religions and we did not regard them as different religions. The british and the west regarded them as separate religions. I am a Jain and it's not at all a strict religion. It's just upto you how you follow. Hinduism, Sikhism, Jainism and Buddhism all religions are identity of India and all promote freedom and co-existence. We are not Muslims or Christians to unnecessarily be strict on people following our religion and brainwashing them.

The notion of saying free yourself from this worldy things means simply dont take all these very serously, because if you take all these seriously you are going to hurt and not able to enjoy it fully.
Our soul whether its born or has nirvana is always blissfull.
Even if we are born in we are internally blissfull if we known basisc principles of above teachings.
One can live there best and fullest possible life only if they dont take these materlistic things very serously.

Mostly people usually bully us because we don't eat onion and potato , having strict vegetarian meal , because they don't know the feeling of calmness

Why ? Because If we abuse someone he will develop bad feeling about me and my family then he will start saying bad words about my mother and father which will be intolerant to me , instead of escalating that issue , I gave them a smile instead , I like this I got some amazing friends .
Also I am digamabar jain . Normal people thinks why our gurus are naked ? They started abusing and started taking a mess
