Vince Clarke is a great musician, The moment I realized how great he really is was when I heard siren song for the first time. I'll never forget it, it was shortly after my dad had passed away in 1991, I had gone to the mall and found their new album chorus, I listened to the whole album in the parking lot of that mall. When I heard siren song I was absolutely astonished, I actually started crying because I had wished my father could have heard it, he was a big fan of Erasure as well. The ending of that song really made me realize how great Clarke is. I'm happy to see him release a solo album. I hope it is very successful
Chorus is my fav album and the tour was the best
💜
Chorus is huge. For me, the best album of Erasure by far. You’ve mention Siren Song, but Home has the same effect on me, it’s amazing. Not to mention Chorus or Breath Of Life, pure techno anthems. Long live to your father, good taste is immortal.
Andy поет божественно в Siren song❤
Amazing cello playing from Reed Hayes (Vince's talented Maker Park Radio co-host)
The jet fighter pilot of sonic mastery... thank you 👨✈️Vince 🛩
Sorrow music, like waiting for death.
he deserves being. celebretated for all his contributions Merci infiniment Vince Clark comme beaucoup d'illustres vous avez marqués l'Histoire de la Musique !
I think Vince's wife has recently died.
The video and most definitely the music.. the anguish momentum of this piece speaks to me from someone who has been in a 2 year cancer death sentence with my father.
Its got more emotion than vcmg because vince has channelled his emotions in the only way he can and that is music..
I do hope vince can find some joy again in music after losing his lovely wife tracy.
😌
Rest in Peace, Tracy Hurley Martin.
To some extent, this video is also a milestone from another point of view. Because everyone, at least many of us, know that Vince doesn't like to be in music videos.
Thank You Vince❣️
He is in stacks of videos... almost all of them. He doesn't care for limelight. But does videos.
not true, he's in many, even did drag doing ABBA
You are the reason why I started playing synths. I owe you everything.
Thanks to have made my life Better
Man… if I could I would give this clip more than one Like👍
Vince Clarke, the guy that has given us every version of popcentric since 1981, has suddenly gone dark and all kind of Lustmord-ish. I'm here for this 100%
Possibly the greatest genius of all time..fecking legend
Lucky and happy is the person that keeps changing, keeps evolving, keeps rediscovering themselves.
Thank you Mr V. You truly are an inspiration
WOW. This is incredibly beautiful and moving. It’s such a contrast to what he has done before but I absolutely adore it. There is such a depth of feeling n this.
This is gorgeous. If Vince is composing tracks for soundtracks to movies that don't exist, this is spot-on.
I couldn't agree more.
Perfect description for this song, I'm trying to image the scene from the movie it would be the soundtrack for.
What ya all saying, this is the movie, it’s just a glance, like any movie
Shut up
Like what U2 and Eno did
Vince Clarke and cello. My two favorite musical instruments. Absolutely no words, except, "Please sir, I want some more."
This sounds like an incredibly gorgeous movie score. It's VERY meditative. I've always love how Vince uses sound.
Hermoso!!!! Gracias Vince espero que todo este bien......desde Argentina lo deseamos de corazón.........te amamos
2023 and Vince still the King 👑
Beautiful. I feel like listening to this while walking along a beach in the fall. Timely, actually.
Since I was a child, he has consistently been my favorite. He never ceases to engage me on various levels. It’s an astonishing film, and I adore the composition. 🖤
Perfect mood music for contemplating one's mortality and watching the apocalypse approaching on distant horizon.
😮
Debut solo album after 40 odd years! and it sounds fresh. Nice.
A gentleman who continues to innovate after over 40 years. Just lovely.
Vince Clark is a genius. He is coming full circle, he has returned a wiser, more contemplative man, back to the room Upstairs At Eric's. Returning some baggage he has been carrying, possibly. This video is so unlike Vince, it really feels like he's sharing a raw and private moment.
Absolutely stunning! It's like Vince and Dead Can Dance had a lovely musical child. 🖤
i grew up on this guys music..One of the truly great UK artists .
Silence if you please - god is about to make a statement
I get emotional thinking about how artistically gifted this man is. He really is part of the soundtrack to my life since I was a kid.
Great history in the music world. Up until now. Time for a nap Vince and boy is this the right music for it.
Absolutely genius
When Vince Clarke went all in 4AD... This is beautiful. It really wouldn't sound out of place in a This Mortal Coil album.
I was on set of this shoot. The director actually had Vince repeatedly do the Macarena for three days straight. Vince thought we’d be using clips of him dancing for the video but we actually used his reaction to the director telling him we had to do another take of the Macarena.
This is great.
Are you kidding me??
Okay...that was good.
😆Since "Macarena" sampled "Situation" by Yazoo, I guess making Vince do the dance for three days would be fair!
I'm the director of the video and it's all lies.
A genius humbling himself before you. I'm sure, if you ask, he will say... it was all just yesterday truly, and today. Pretty, Sir!
Sadly very few listeners will understand what the title of this song means.
Is it a secret? fill me in.
Read the Book of Jeremiah.
Vince is a great musicians.
Although the sound and mood of this piece is very dark, there is something embracing and comforting about it. Both the video and the music remind me of Scott Walker and his late work. Arrrr, I love it, when Vince is minimalistic and sinnister.
🔲▪️🔺Univers plein de grâce et d’élégance 🔺▪️🔲
🔲▪️🔺🫶Vince Clarke génie 🫶🔺▪️🔲
immense in its silent contemplation and human turmoil. it is as if he could sense the "future"
Gorgeous! Reed’s cello playing is absolutely beautiful. I’m here for this.
I believe it's the Osmose synth, not a real cello. But wonderful anyways!!!❤
Reed Hays - Cello@@user-wl2pb4tn8j
That’sa synth cello??!!?
No the cello was played - Reed Hayes played it
It’s definitely Reed playing cello. He’s listed in the song credits as a co-writer.
The intro reminds me of the soundtrack from “The Last Emperor”. The soundtrack was written by Ryuchi Sakamoto.
GOOOOOOOOD stuff, this.
Vince Clarke ... shaded my coming of age.
Yeah. Blame it all on Vince Clarke!!! 😃
Poland Love Vince Clarke ! Synthpop Pioneer !
Wow. Just, WOW!! Nothing else to add really.
Wow...just incredible. I am a life long Erasure fan since 1987 and this is about as far away from the Mothership as possible but I love it. Brilliant.
I found a Vangelis vibe in the album, I love it.
Vince is a genius and his music has been a massive positive factor throughout my life. This is a bit difficult to dance to though. 😊
I'm overwhelmed ❤
Sombre, melancholy, deep. Emotional yet dreamy but still full of power.
Congratulations Vince.
Великолепно, Браво!
So Vince had one finger on his keyboard and occasionally triggered a bomb sound while his friend played virtuosic cello? Brilliant!
Your sarcasm was duty noted.
Fabulous but, so different. Great to see vince in his ownittle video too. 🤞
Dark and thought provoking…. A masterpiece
So different from everything else we're used to listen from him! I like it a lot, can't wait for the full album!
An unexpected and stunning composition, charged with emotion and anguish. This is exceptional.
Vince still smiles on the inside
Very good idea from Vince as synth musician to start making some classic music, this must result with something extraordinary and never heard before. Toccata and Fugue in Synth Minor.
dude can rock a pop tune and a suit. unstoppable force of nature
Well, I wasn't expecting that! But I was expecting awesome - and it truly is!!
Exceptionally powerful composition and video. I don't think there is any doubt that is an incredibly deeply personal album for Vince.
I feel ya Vince. Nuff said. This says a lot without saying a word.
Solo aquellos que tienen una gran espalda musical pueden animarse a realizar un trabajo de este tipo... 👋👋👋
The man’s a genius, looking forward to hearing what he creates on this album ❤😊
This feels spiritual, some how. Pure art
"Vince is horrified to discover that all the synths in his home studio have been stolen."
Pure Art , i love Vince more than 40 years , he created so good melodys and synthi sounds . looking forward for the Album
Beautiful and not what I expected....delicate and moving...I like..!!!
Waited 40 yrs. Jesus.
Wow. I certainly wasn’t expecting that.
Thank you for this. For 4:32 I was Vince. ❤
Vince Clarke has been a musical presence in my life for decades. He also wrote the forward to the book "Synth Gems 1"! I am SO CURIOUS to hear this new music from him!
Mr. Vincent Clarke - Genius Of Synthpop ! Greets From Poland ;-)
The elder Vince is ever staid and composed in this. His face holds such pathos, even though it barely betrays any emotion. It kind of reminds me of Patrick Stewart's latest iteration as Picard at times. Watching this makes me think...
Wow, really looking forward to this solo project album from Mr. Clarke. He is the master of integrating and layering sounds, both acoustic and synthetic. What a genius!
Beautiful video, beautiful presence, beautiful and yet powerfully painful music. Vince has always been a force. Thank you sir.
Give us a smile though ,Vince.....best wishes from Wales 🏴
Incredible video and song. Long life to the master!
What a great work! Thank you very much, dear Vince!!!
Great cinematic score. If you happen to have the chance to see GODLAND, a film about a Danish priest sent to build a church in 19th century Iceland, I think you will appreciate it. I imagine how it would have been with Vince in the mix. 🙏
Video reminds me of stay with me and yazoos in my room. Music is a masterclass only mr vince clarke can counjer up. Can not wait to hear what the genius has for us. Love it.
From all angles: yes.

so unexpected, so different, so good. I'm very excited about the album. ❤
great video! Great black and white cinematography . So rich!
❤️❤️❤️
This is simply beautiful, moving, and heartbreaking. I must confess, I am getting some "Black Star" vibes here. I hope all is well with you, Mr. Clarke.
I def got the Blackstar vibes as well. First thought actually.
@treydurant what are the Blackstar vibes that you are getting exactly? elaborate pls
@@arefriendsaseptic David Bowie.
@@arefriendsasepticBowie released a deeply beautiful and introspective album and revealed that he was terminal with cancer. The album was a meditation on life and how it just runs away from us. People are looking at this and worrying it's more than a passing similarity.
I believe his wife is poorly with cancer , hence the latest announced Erasure tour was cancelled last year.
I auditioned for Erasure around 82 in Wardour St, London. Had to sing Who needs love like that. Andy Bell got the gig. Do you know who I almost was moment. Good to see Vince branching out.
Amazing work by one of our times musical genius’
WOW! Well-done Vince!
Interesting, deep, dark and powerful. Everything you'd expect a seasoned musician to evolve into. Well done!
Очень неожиданно, интригующе и круто! С нетерпением буду ждать выхода альбома!
This goes to show that Vince just wants to explore and take his music to other levels..this track could accompany to a silent film...just genius
STUNNING! I AM BREATHLESS!!!!
Gorgeous piece of art!!!!!! Thanx vince
This is intriguing. Looking forward for the next tracks.
Wow! Hauntingly beautiful 🥲 Left me teary eyed
It's the desert sound your soul sinking into reality. Vincent has mad some classics love his work
This is stunning - Vince does it again - he has the midas touch this fella. Sounds similar to stars of the lid, labradford and tortoise. Superb stuff.
Hypnotized
The man its from another world!
Неймовірно і неочікувано дарково 💔🖤
Jesus, this is haunting. The low sonic bass sounds caught me off guard. Beautiful. Thank you Vince and Reed.
Sublime 😌✨
