The 5G Version:

+ better cam
+ 5G for the future
- No microSD slot
And the 4G version: the opposite of the points above. 🤷🏻♂️
The Redmi Note 12 has as far as i know less storage, worse lenses and a few other disadvantages.
The Redmi Note 12s is an up-to-date version of the Note 11s....Android 13, Updates until 2026, 8GB RAM, 256GB internal storage,.... currently for ~200€. Only the bokeh lens is missing, but it's not necessary, it's placebo.... and the macro lens is worse... only 2Mpx...but you CAN shoot macro and think about how often do you shoot macro with the phone? 🤷🏻♂️
I recommend this phone. I bought it 1 week ago and i'm happy with it.

question what is HUF?? is it currency or what?? i payed Redmi Note 12 2800skr 1 year ago so its about 250-260 euro and i though it was expensive(but everything in sweden has a 25+ % tax on everything sold so might be this though??)
but i love my Redmi Note 12 it was way better then i hoped n a huge step up from my older Redmi Note 7 that i still use today(but i couldnt use wifi share to more then 1 device)i need to use 3 or atleast 2 so newer 12 is great for me

Redmi Note 12 now since last year and never failed me yet and i had the older Redmi Note 7 that i still use(sadly battery is bad n way expensive to change so i bought a new instead)

The Redmi Note 12s has Android 13 from the beginning and gets updates until 2026. It is available with 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage for 200€! That's an improvement. Yes.... the macro camera is a little downgrade. The fourth cam for bokeh that is "missing" isn't really necessary as far as i know, it's more placebo for a selling argument. But only 2Mpx for macro IS a downgrade.... if you shoot a lot of macros. But think about it: DO YOU??? 🤷🏻♂️
Summary: No, it's not a downgrade. It's an improved Redmi Note 11s, except you shoot a lot macro. But who does a lot macro with a phone? 🤷🏻♂️

Redmi Note 12S will get one major android update only, the rest is security and MIUI updates.
When it comes to storage - it cost almost nothing for manufacturer to swap 128GB NAND chip to 256GB.
The whole point was that Xiaomi did not engineer a new phone or add any extra hardware, they removed a camera and IP53 certification. So, the rest is software 🤷
@@GetTheGadget Anyway it HAS Android 13,it WILL get updates and it HAS much more RAM and much more internal storage... the RN11S will never get. The camera for bokeh is placebo and only the macro lens is worse. So where is the "downgrade"?

@@someoneinasia Yes. Why should it? It's an old model, it's listed since 2021...plus 3 years support = 2024. It came out with Android 11. Usually Xiaomi delivers only ONE Android update. So do you really believe they are interested to work on an Android update for this device? And even IF it'll get it, the Note 12s is listed since THIS year and comes with Android 13.... plus 3 years support (=until 2026)..... i'm sure it will get at least Android 14.

It's quite hard to find dual SIM phone with dedicated SD card slot and audio jack. Therefore Poco F series aren't good for me despite the better CPU.

The poco is way more expensive (2-3x). Redmi 12s has the headphone jack AND true dual SIM WITH SD card extension. Your recommendations have not. The speakers of the 12s have decent quality. Also the display. I would NOT recommend NOONE to NOT buy it ;-) currently it‘s the best phone for that proce and nearly all other ones are missing the sd card extension (!), and for sure the headphone jack.

I switched from Samsung to redmi note 12s and it's so sleek, no issues. Camera quality is better than Samsung. Best thing for me is that it doesn't bulge in my pockets

@@nadraleah.g4957 To be honest Xiaomi is always nice and never the best.... but it's always the best in battery life and the best compromise between performance and price. For me, who doesn't need a status symbol from any "super brand", in that category Xiaomi is unbearable. The Redmi Note 12s is my third Xiaomi after the Redmi Note 5 and 7. I was always happy with this solution and it was always an improvement.

Only upgrade is Android 13, unlike Android 11 on Note 11S, Note 12s will get further updates, 11s will not. So your review has failed.

Don't buy the Redmi Note 11s, it is only comparing numbers and letters shown on the website, but the Redmi Note 12s is much superior, and the Redmi Note 11s will not receive as many updates.

Poco is too big. There is a reason why Xiaomi made 12s smaller in comparison to 11s. Everything going beyond 6.5' doesnt make sense. Also, Poco's camera is 48M, which is... sad.

@@ikhlask7844 Ask THEM, i don't know. As i explained, the only downgrade is the macro lens (that i almost never use). It's not bad, it works, but its resolution is lower than macro lenses before usually had. Everything else is fine. The whole phone works perfectly and the main lens delivers good results. Ultrawide i also almost never use. I prefer to shoot several pictures with the main lens because it's better and stitch them with any panorama software on my computer together. But again, the lens is absolutely okay. Sometimes i use it when there is really no space to go a few steps back. Better than nothing. 🤷🏻♂️

We ordered online two devices and both are problematic.Their responsive time is very slow.Takes few seconds to switch on screen,end call from side button,start charging etc
