As somebody who has more body hair i Never have follicle problems You're actually making it worse by cutting it.. I live in 115° heat all summer you should never touch your body hair, The only thing I would do is trim it down to a couple millimeters.. Never make it flush with skin.. I tried that a few times it just makes things worse... The sweat on your back doesn't cause any odors unless you leave it there for months..

It takes longer to grow if you wax your hair. It will hurt a lot the first few times because you shave and made the hair thicker but once you get all thick hair with wax out it's a breeze from there!
