dude you couldn't be any more correct!!!!! I'm sick of people claiming that great punk bands are selling out simply because they're on major labels. There message hasn't EVER changed in all there years of performing and thats why they kick so much ass!!! Bands like Anti-Flag, Bad Religion and Pennywise are keeping punk music alive and kicking ass!!! Keep spreading the good word my friend!!
Yes just Saw Pennywise and Nofx Less tha Jake and Get Dead and they had the same energy as they had in the 90s so great this bands are still playing sadly Nofx will only play 1 more year I lived in Pittsburgh and seen Anti Flag so many times i cannot keep track. Check out Though Riot and Pipedown and The Code all good bands i found playing with Anti flag.
I really missed Warped tour back when it was Punk Hardcore and Ska bands playing now i love other music but when they started being to diverse in what bands played the problems started as well . Look up the end of warped tour documentary.
Tiger Army was on Jimmy Kimmel 4 years ago. they weren't that big back then but they got their chance to be on tv, which is unusual for a psychobilly band. their music videos were on fuse the last time i saw them.
they did the filming for the music video at a los angeles venue and invited their fans to come be a part of it and since jimmy kimmel is also filmed in L.A. it's only natural that a fan in the same area would go to both.
@goodnightnurserocks If I'm not mistaken, sell out means they change their style or their message because they think it's what will get them more money. That's not the case with them signing to RCA. They were allowed to do everything THEY wanted to do, and the spirit never left, the entire motivation behind the band never left. In fact, that's what made it difficult to find a major label. Labels approached them but wouldn't let them do what they wanted to do, so they said no.
just a query, would this show not air on the same station that shows those kind of adverts there talking about (i.e making the station money), im not trying to be smart, i just would like to no seeing as im not from america. just little humble ireland?
Hi everybody, i'm an italian guitarist and i've got a question: if you look some videos live of "this is the end (for you my friend)" you can see justin playing it on the 2nd capo. But if you play the song on the 2nd capo it sounds higher. Why? Does Justin use a particolary tuning? thanks.
They use half step tunning i think, Well on bass they doo anyways (but all tabs around are just in standard just because theres no need to be in that tunning for this song)
I agree %100. I alot of people bitch about allot of bands I've listened to that they sold out just because they got big. "If someone gets a promotion at work, you congratulate them. If a band gets big their sellouts. That's bullshit"
@18Starsfan I agree. I would much rather have a band with such a strong message in their music signed to a bigger label. To me, that just means they'll get more exposure, and more people will hear what they have to say. These guys have by no means sold out.
Imaweasel1 finally someone else feels the same way. if you get on a major and still write anti corporate songs that's just the label that signed you committing suicide. they are basically hurting themselves while more people hear about your band and your message
I like alot of their old stuff, but after "terror state" I could not get into them after that.I met them in Phila at the Unitarian church.Justin was really cool and + funny.Head 2 came off in a defensive way to me and acted arrogant. he responded by saying "the Bouncing Souls are personal friends of mine dont put them down(crazy)".He also told kids to spit on the Flag and kept talking and talking ,thus trying to get people to wave our fist in the air. They claim to be 18 on their site.
For everyone who is desperate to be mad at something, but can't find anything so call antiflag "sellouts," I was there, and they played 3 extra songs after the cameras were gone.
yeah, anti flag sold out, the only reason i still listen to them is that they have such a great message and still have that message. i lost alot of respect for them because of the major label but i still like their music

I wish all bands could put on such a great live performance like this
It's Jimmy Kimmel. It's on TV.
Bad Religion and Pennywise have done Jimmy Kimmel as well.
I really missed Warped tour back when it was Punk Hardcore and Ska bands playing now i love other music but when they started being to diverse in what bands played the problems started as well . Look up the end of warped tour documentary.
chris sounds really pissed off in this video. love it.
I really LOVE their Music!!! They are fantastic!!!
Tiger Army was on Jimmy Kimmel 4 years ago. they weren't that big back then but they got their chance to be on tv, which is unusual for a psychobilly band. their music videos were on fuse the last time i saw them.
jimmy kimmel 5 seconds in was probly like "fuck i should've listened to these guys first, I might lose ratings!"
good performance, also like the random 5 seconds of Hot Water Music at the end. now I have to go listen to them.
I've never seen so many punks in a Jimmy Kimmel crowd haha
at last someone with the same argument as myself!!!! well said!
punk 4 life!
that was just sooo hilarious the way they where having a moshpitt in the middle of live television, and nobody even payed attention lmao
I saw a video some years ago in which they played Die For the Government on Jimmy Kimmel, but I can't find it now...
was that in sheffield? i saw them there on sat, was awesome
they did the filming for the music video at a los angeles venue and invited their fans to come be a part of it and since jimmy kimmel is also filmed in L.A. it's only natural that a fan in the same area would go to both.

@lognation
they signed 6 years ago in 05. They've been back on independents since 08 or 09
Thumbs up for the guy with the mask in the front row like he's gonna get swine flu or something.
i guarantee that Kimmel has never seen a mosh pit quite like this haha

The guy with the blonde mohican seems to be in most their videos lol

I love Anti-Flag!
Best Polit-Punk Band EVER!
Does anyone know the exact date of this performance?
AF!!! Yeah Reppin PA!!!
wow Chris #2's singing is so raw. i'm not sure it's really singing :P but it is awesome none the less.
Justin always has some sick moves on stage.
pontiac stage..just like when you go to alot of venues that sponsor.. example....staples center, budweiser, etc etc etc
I agree with you ...
just a query, would this show not air on the same station that shows those kind of adverts there talking about (i.e making the station money), im not trying to be smart, i just would like to no seeing as im not from america. just little humble ireland?
@XianisRoxify
theres no one russian in the band

Nice pants...Whats the difference between this and Good Charlotte???
They use half step tunning i think, Well on bass they doo anyways (but all tabs around are just in standard just because theres no need to be in that tunning for this song)

I alot of people bitch about allot of bands I've listened to that they sold out just because they got big. "If someone gets a promotion at work, you congratulate them. If a band gets big their sellouts. That's bullshit"
great band, great message long live A-F
what does it say on his guitar at 1:41?
Chris #2 is ruling this performance
seems every station, on the tv, is selling something, no one can be.
what is this im always hearing about ashley dustin miller?
lets do a little comparing here.
listen to Good N' Ready
right after listening to any Discharge or Circle Jerks song
and see what happens.
i agree, but more then likely the show was like "no pits, crowd surfing and stage diving" to protect their ass
gonna see them live in june :>
saw them at reading festival 09 ;)
nothing says i hate corporate media more than being featured in corporate media :ˆ)
tl;dr. you win, your obviously more punk rock then me. yay for you.
correct my friend.
@18Starsfan I agree. I would much rather have a band with such a strong message in their music signed to a bigger label. To me, that just means they'll get more exposure, and more people will hear what they have to say. These guys have by no means sold out.

chris is a fucking beast. great vocals and bass.

I think they were Anti-Pontiac in this video or something. OH WAIT...they're backed by them in this one. Could oioioi09 be right??? Yes.

if we did what antiflag does,
we'd feel like shit for being hypocrites.
his voice kinda sounded shot? i maybe be wrong but it kinda does and PA LIKE 30MINS FROM HERE =P
I bet this UA-cam quality was good at the time. Now the quality looks like shit nothing against the band. Just admiring technology
Amen, the new green day cd is nothing but punk, more like pop rock.
whoa those pants are tight.
he says "this song is not brought to you by"
Don't criticize what you cant understand- Bob Dylan
chris sounds awesome live
Nice POGO outthere
PURE PUNK ROCK!
I was just finding it ironic that there was an upside down flag on the Pontiac stage.
