HOPEFULLY THIS HELPS OUT!! Unfortunately, I don't have a fix for AMD Cards, but FidelityFX, from what I've heard, is working as it should!

the non series mod gone 🥲
Heck yeah, hopefully this helps a ton of people out there to get a better experience!!!! Glad to have seen your reaction live!
amazing how one guy chilling at home can do a better job at optimizing a game instead of an army of devs... but nice mod tho... thanks for this info
Pure Dark says the setting is there. He didn't have to build it like he does on games that release as AMD exclusives. All he had to do is enable it and won't be updating the mod because they will be unlocking it eventually.
He didn’t optimize the game at all tho 😂 just added frame gen
See, it kinda irks me when people who clearly have no idea what they're talking about says stuff like this. This mod does not even qualify as "optimization" in any way, shape, or form. It's a band-aid at best (one that already exists within the game but left disabled for the meantime) while the devs are actually working and gathering data to make actual fixes and optimization.
DLSS3 is already in the game, the mod just unlocks it. CAPCOM didn't include it at launch due to stability and performance issues (when in large towns the game can start to stutter badly even at 100+ fps with DLSS3 turned on).
it didnt help
Thank you for this video. I put off DD2 because I was going to wait for some patches to fix performance and make the game actually playable, but I tried out this mod after watching your video and oh my, it actually double my frames as well in the first city and made the game SO much smoother. This is really amazing and it's a shame that devs are unable to make their game work properly but instead we have to rely on modders.
I bet the fps would skyrocket if they removed denuvo
It sure would 😂 with the game already running as it is even after the first patch it’s laughable they even added denuvo to tank the performance even more
Just Capcom being capcom. They're greedy and think piracy will cause them to lose sales.
God...the performance increase would be remarkable. Publishers need to stop being so caught up in anti-piracy because every piece of software is just a matter of time before it's actually pirated. Denuvo is just this stinky mess that ruins everything performance wise for the sake of plugging a leaky dam for a few months. I feel like I've seen so many game releases ruined by its implementation, and the publishers tell themselves that its all the sad pirates not getting a hold of it. No, its the pissed off consumer that gets 30 fps in a game that looks like its 10 years old already.
yeah, look at dishonored 2, the game tanks fps till this day because of denuvo
Denuvo is on alot of games that run just fine. You people have to get over your obsession.
does this not trigger the DRM? i thought tempering with programmfiles is exactly what a DRM is supposed to prevent?
FYI, currently the game crashes when trading, accessing storage and even in recruting a pawn. You just need to press "End" key to turn this off temporarily, then press again when your done. This happened after the 1st patch of the game. Hope this helps
Damn, moving from 70fps outdoor to 140 in 5s. It works! Tyvm dude
You're complaining about 70 fps? I get 5-10 makes fights impossible.
@@insignia406 what GPU do you have?
@@Kxadd 3080ti
@@insignia406 What about CPU?
Crazy how easy that was.
I honestly thought this was gonna be the classic clickbait youtube title but my FPS literally doubled.
I went from 30-40 fps in towns to 60-80 playing with a 4070 card.
I've played for 1 hour since implementing the mod and didn't crash so far.
I did notice however that the fps limiter in game doesn't really do its job properly.
Out of town my fps are now in the 140-160s even though I have set it to "120fps max".
Might be the nvidia overlay reporting wrong numbers but I honestly think they just never tested this setting because they never got to these numbers haha.
I put the file in the directory but now it says its corrupt or unreadable... How do I fix that
How do i change the key (end key, true? I didn't hear well) to turn off the mod?
if i turn off dlss can i still enable fram gen? dlss even on quality lowers the quality a lot to me
aint no way that actually just took 2 seconds and over doubled my fps! I was so sceptical. ty for this
The non-40 series mod link doesn't work / has been deleted sadly
I have 40 series and i cant find the description of mod your talking about
I got a 2070 super is there a way for me to increase fps?
Becaus idk if i should buy the game
anything similar for AMD cards? i have a ryzen7 5800x and rx 7900xt and i hardly get 45-50 fps in towns and like barely 60 out of towns and in combat
Did you get the most recent patch and are you using fidelityfx!?
@@italianspartacus been tinkering with settings and updates for a couple hours now but i DID have a graphics drivers update which i did do and i also went back and forth with amd fidelity fx settings, super resolution and fluid motions.
now at 1440p i have a consistent 50-60 in towns and 80+ outside the cities and i have yet to see combat but i imagine it'll fine. Compared to the 25-30fps i was dealing with today, this feels like 400fps
@@azure6674 I have an RX 6900 XT and I feel like Fidelity FX, Super Resolution and especially Fluid Motion barely do anything. They just make the game super blurry without a satisfying imporvement in smootheness. Ended up turning it off, I'm just using TAA now. I only have constant bad fps in big cities and SOMETIMES in certain spots in the forest.
Is this after the patch ?
I've got a 3070 & the only issue I have is in big towns where the frame rate drops into the sh*tter.
towns are cpu bounded and suffers cpu shit optimization, dlss only uses cpu to help relieve stress from the gpu
Will this mess with the anti cheat in any way?
for me its completly broken. I have a rtx 4080 locking fps wont work. Tried everything in the book but crashes every time.
Why does this help so well? What does it actually do? Currently with a ryzen 7 5800x and 3080 i be nervous about any increase mods as my cpu be pushing 90% which kinda worries me a little but not a computer head as I have only switched to pc for 2 years.
Edit: This didn't effect my fps but combat outside is fucking buttery smooooooth. Holy,
It uses the proper frame Gen and version for dlss!
@italianspartacus going to try this out. Good frames outside but still dips under 60 during combat just a little. Hopefully this helps keep the frames above 60 so I got that buttery smooth combat.
Great video just one question how do you have the ui not flickering?
He is using a 490 card which means he is using a dlss frame generation technique. The flickering happens if you use a 20 or 30 series card and using FSR from generation technique instead.
Works with my 4090. Not played enough to see if it locks up, but seeing as how I quit the game until a patch came out to fix the fps, this is good news for me....god knows how long they will take to fix it.
"we just doubled our f-cking frames" Someone's excited it seems ;)
Brother smooth play over quality is always nice.
DLSS 3.6 is definitely worth it for all 20, 30, and 40 series cards, I haven't experienced any issues with using it. The Frame Gen, however, caused my first ever error-less freeze/crash within 5 minutes of loading my game within the city of Vernworth. I have a 4070, DLSS on Quality and Reflex On+Boost. It should be able to handle it just fine, but I haven't tried it after the official patch. Your mileage may vary, of course, and I'll have to test it now that the patch may have improved stability between the two.
There is also a "mod" on the Nexus to have Frame Gen work for FSR3 which is usable on 20 and 30 Series cards, as well.
Tested the Frame Gen enabler by wandering throughout Vernworth and experienced no crashes, so it does seem like the official patch paired with both the FG and DLSS 3.6 "mods" are working much better now and providing a stable consistency. At least for where I had problems before, a big map is sure to pose some issues elsewhere without hours of thorough testing to confirm or deny it.
Can't believe this small file of dlss injection for frame gen made the whole game more stable, specially in towns! I have a gaming laptop equipped with only RTX 4050 and man did it help a lot! Hope Capcom actually sees this and considers having a dlss 3 frame gen and fsr 3 frame gen for a future patch, with additional cpu optimization to fix that awful base performance.
Edit : turns out frame gen was already in the game but is disabled by default. I guess once capcom makes some fixes here and there, they'll eventually have the settings be enabled in future patches.
Weirdly this won't really do much if you have a high end GPU. GPU performance isn't the problem, the insane CPU load issue is. If your GPU is old or underpowered this will at least help that, but the core performance issue will remain. There's a CPU Priority mod on Nexus, which will likely help.
How did you remove the ui flickering?
no u cannot, that the downside of it
@@rizezaki He has no flickering, so he has done it
@@DAVE-wk6rx That's an issue specific to the non-4000 version of the mod unfortunately.
doesnt work with my 4090. i dropped the file and replaced it but still getting only around 40 fps
And Dlss is turned on!?

@@m7gh827 i got it fixed yesterday bro. Thanks anyways . I had you enabled hardware accelerator. For some reason it was disabled
Is there a mod for the amd community? Or is it just for the nvidia gpus?
It’s DLSS mod so I’m assuming Nvidia only, AMD uses something else I think the Fidelity FX Super Resolution.
I have RTX 4090, but the laptop version (which is basically a different GPU, just the same name). Does anybody know if this is gonna work?
I just downloaded this with my RTX 4050 laptop, it works super well, it doesn't lag when I'm in town anymore! It really helped a lot!
Dannnng Gina!
RTX4090 and youre only getting 53 frames in Vernworth? What are your other specs? So many people are complaining about performance, but they only brag about their GPU in a heavily CPU bound game.
I have a RTX4070 with a Ryzen 5 7600X and I get 70+ in Vernworth with DLSS turned OFF and nearly everything else maxed out (shadows mid, contact shadows off, raytracing off).
I have a 4070 Super and I get like 48-60-ish there.
Thank you so much bro...I can't play anything that jumps below 60 fps, and I know some people think that's weird, but it bothers me like crazy. You made it at least playable and now I can continue. The optimization in this is comically bad, and I don't care what anyone says. Games with similar, if not better, graphics run at an extremely higher FPS without dips or this crazy sluggishness. I really hope that Capcom pins these issues down and resolves them because this totally degrades the experience for a lot of people.
The Non-4000 Series GPU fix doesn't do anything on my 3080 still getting 40fps.
same, did absolutely nothing for me on my 3080.
It increased my fps, but I still get stutter on a 4090. I have to lower shadow quality ALL the way in order to get it stable. Also, FG crashes my game every time
Even after the update? Depressing.. I was hoping the update helped a bit. I don’t even want to bother trying. I’ve been dealing with endless crashes since launch and at this point I’m just playing with the lower frames and settings. I miss seeing how beautiful the game is.
@@YungYdoc I honestly haven't tried after this recent update. I'll check tomorrow.
@@GodsSoldier2 Best of luck. I’m going to give it a shot tonight. If I remember.. I’ll try to hit you up and let you know if it works now.
Give it a shot with the update because I'm having zero issues!
Please help, my game crashes whenever I tried to play it.
Me too. 😢
Its the new patch. we have to wait for a mod update
Anyone using LSFG down here? someone recommended it on another side of the internet and it has been a staple for me. Quite virtually and practically doubled the fps I see on my monitor, didn't even need its upscaling. it does stutter still, but that's something no external software, hell not even hardware, can solve anyway.
Pure Dark is a G! Been using it since he dropped the mod. I have a 4090 and my frame rates in Verund only drop down to 54 FPS. Well over 170 in the wilderness. playing at 4k
From 40 fps in big cities, to not being able to start the game at all with crash reports and Error Code: 0xFFF1, Using the 4000 series mod on a RTX 4070. I guess im waiting for the official update to get the fps fixed.
Can these mods work on steam deck?
No.
Insane how quickly someone else can fix fairly large gaming studio's games
Not really.
"Since this mod only enables the game's own hidden DLSS3 implementation, it's now released for free."
Someone simply unlocked what's already in the game.
7800x3d + 4070ti here and wow ... Game was unplayable for me until this mod.... Huge FPS gain from 50 ish to all the way up to 100+ in town..
why does this software crash whenever I try to load multiple VST plugins? is it a resource allocation issue, or could there be conflicts between the plugins that's causing instability?
from 45-50fps to 90+ with my 4060, this mod is insane!
wait fr? so is the game worth getting?? how's it?
Damn, that did absolute nothing.
Welp. Why the fck is the Mod for the none 40 series gone?
It dosnt help im still getting very low frames(40) in the city with my 3090ti
You have to have a 4000 series card for the first mod, if you have a 3090ti use the second mod he mentioned that upgrades to a newer DLSS version for a few extra frames.
And for AMD / 6700 XT?
two more mods: 'dlss-to-fsr3' & 'frame gen for non-40 series'
[unfortunately ruins the HUD/UI. idk if its worth it or how to fix it]
Can this work on a steam deck?
No.
@@Kxadd thanks ahh that's sucks 😕.
First guy i ever met who saids he doesn't like using mods on pc curious to why people dont?
A lot of people don't. In fact, that's still most people. Modding is still a niche area. General users typically don't like messing with game files and do not have the time/patience to spend troubleshooting or dealing with whatever issues pop up. They just wanna play the game.
cause theyre brain dead and think mods can break your pc and think mods are "hard" and think moving and copying and reading installation steps are hard, its that simple, they think its somehow hard to do when all you really do is copy files and do a little tinkering here and there when mods do break.
I use to be big into modding with Bethesda games and many older games, but as time went on I just preferred playing the game the devs intended and not some random assortment of mods/changes that changed the game into something else entirely. Luckily I don't really play those older ES/Fallout games anymore so I don't need modders to fix core issues that the devs never wanted to fix lol.
Many people like me just want that default experience, even if we have no issues installing mods and getting them working. The closet I get with modding now a days is total conversions (like Stalker GAMMA, Deus Ex Revision), or community patches that literally make older games playable on newer hardware or at modern wide screen resolutions, everything outside of that like modded weapons, story lines, gear,...etc I just don't care for, especially since many mod tends to ruin the balance in many of these games.
I'm glad we all have the option, but I will take the default experience any day of the week over average mods that get churned out after a games release
Highly recommend lossless scaling v2.7.1 for 30 series and under gpus. a bit of flickering on the character but no crazy ui ghosting like before and no ui flickering like the other frame gen mods on nexus
how to use or download the lossless scaling v2.7.1 ??
Ashame only 4000 series benefit from this. Almost locks everyone else out of having an enjoyable experience. on a 3070ti and wishing I waited to buy a 4000 series
I posted the mod for the none 40 series! The new patch today drastically helps too
I've used the non-30 series mod on my 3070TI and it has turned my game from a stuttering mess to over 100fps with barely any stuttering. It really is quite amazing!

They did not come out with a patch to increase preformace on PC. Absolutely incorrect statment. The Patch was for QOL features
nothing wrong with mods, mate. idk why you feel the need to say you don't advocate for them.
I didn't say I don't advocate for them, I said I don't like using them personally :) and I know a good chunk of people fall into that umbrella so I'm trying to assuage anyone who might not try this because of the same mindset! Ain't nothing wrong with a mod!

50 frames on 4090 makes no sense
It's fucking ridiculous
u should put in the title of this that u need gen 40 graphic cards dude that was a waste of time
This game is so bad, you should be able to run this game at 4k medium on a 3070, just what have Capcom done to their game 😮
No it is a great game, despite perfomance issues.
the game is great. can I smoke whatever you're smoking 🚬?
Oh wow, a mod that benefits only the people who bruteforce their game to play it above 60fps. How wonderful for them!
