You guys make a great team together and are so lucky that you met the right person to spend your life with. It really makes all the difference in life. I love the way that you (Mary) and Peter communicate and look at each other with so much love, and amazingly from an outsider it has not changed from someone that has watched you for the past 2 years almost
Great catch Peter! Happy you weren't admitted Mary. I'm out in the sunshine, laughing with my granddaughters and thinking of the three of you all. Sending prayers.
Mary you are incredible !!! Apologising for passing out. You and Peter are so positive no matter what. Brilliant people. I had my "flu jab" recently. I have asthma and live in Balloch near Loch Lomond in Scotland. xx
As a Respiratory Therapist I know how difficult CF is to manage and treat but you guys are AMAZING!!! Peter has to give me a tutorial on his chest PT techniques and skill. Mary, I pray for you daily and love your attitude and smile as you walk through life. God is GOOD all the time and all the time God is GOOD! Keep on laughing everyday!! Love and prayers!!
Thank you! Your positivity is infectious! I have polyneuropathy from chemo and am in constant pain. A real bummer. U guys make me laugh and remember to find the positives 😊
The Frey Life no one will touch my port! They have even made my mom access my port in the ER...they say they aren't trained but it's interesting because 3 hours later after trying in my neck, feet, everywhere, they all the sudden can use ports. It's crazy!!!!!
God bless you Mary, Peter & Ollie Boy. Thank you Peter for being there to catch Mary. And Mary there is no reason to be sorry. Have the best weekend ever & hope you feel well. With all my love!
Mary your are so brave for all you do to treat your CF, even with passing out you stayed so positive. I have a phobia of needles and passing out and I wish I had as much courage as you do xx
Glad you're doing okay now! I can relate to the afternoon headache. I had a migraine start creeping in toward the end of the school day so I was grateful when students left and that it's the weekend. We had our first big snow yesterday so it finally looks like winter instead of fall here. Hope you all have been able to rest after such an eventful day!
I am so happy that you were able to feel something was off and had Peter right there just in case. I would love to meet you guys and get our service dogs to have a play date.
Thanks for your inspiration in all your videos, it's weird to think that you so far away in another state have people like me who think and care about your everyday. Keep on going , I love it! Hasn't even been more that two months since I subscribed and I feel like part of this awesome community. Keep fighting and showing gratitude for the people and each other. With it you make everyday a gift.
Sorry you passed out and had a stressful time....glad you are not hurt & hope you both can rest well after your eventful day! Cheering on from Chicago!
Glad Peter was there to catch you. I am Hypoglycemic and have passed out numerous times in my closet while getting dressed before they knew why. Now I drink a small juice when I wake up and take my cinnamon capsules.
Gabby Darty I am a type two diabetic and only have been one for a year and some so have never heard of these. 😁. I love cinnamon lol. How does it work exactly? I love educating myself medically to be my own advocate in situations.
I'm physio student and recently I had to write an essay about CF . It's so so interesting to see everything from patient's perspective, sometimes we clinicians think that 'we know everything' but I think that you guys know a lot more! It's so lovely to watch you as sometimes we very little appreciate our life. You're doing such a great work on youtube. Sending love from London, hope your new treatment will go well!!
Sending lots of prayers to the Frey life! Yesterday you were on my mind and I was praying for you all afternoon! I hope today was a better day for you!!!
I am so glad you are okay. Rest up okay? Passing out is scary. So glad Peter literally "had your back". Thank you for recording your visit. I worry about you.
Saw another standard poodle guide dog today at the store today. It was assisting a visually impaired woman. The dog was grey in color, however, this poodle was sporting the traditional poodle grooming, you know with the poofy ears and top of the head. That was the only other poodle guide/service dog I have ever seen, besides Ollie of course.
Awww sorry you fainted, Mary. It's a "vasovagal response", they can have different triggers, and IV needles/blood draws and that sort of thing are a trigger for some people. My sister faints every time she gets an IV or her blood drawn.
That's the word I was looking for on my post, "vasovagal response". Not in our control. I like to think of it as my "Incredible Hulk" moments... LOL, if anyone is old enough to remember the original show, he could control himself to a certain point, but once his body had had enough, he turned green and became the Hulk. 💚
Yes, it can be caused by other things, too. Dehydration, standing in place for too long, seeing something scary, etc. Basically, something triggers/overstimulates the vagus nerve, which controls heart rate, breathing, blood pressure and digestion. It causes BP to drop drastically, leading to no blood flow to the brain, so the body has to crumple to get the brain below the heart - voila: fainting!
I've had a pinched nerve when having a blood test. Didn't faint, but felt very woozy and arm was numb for a few hours. Olly was so cute when you scratched his chin
Glad You are ok from passing out You are such a strong person praying for You glad Perter was there to catch You You peter was there to catch You You three make a great team od bless
Hey Mary I have a chronic illness called dystautonomia and I'm getting a service dog soon, and being taken out of public school. Watching your vlogs keeps my head up and my heart full. Thank you for vlogging everyday, and just know it helps even the sick community out there. ❤️
While picking up my prescriptions at the pharmacy last night my husband asks, "How did Mary's appointment go?" Puzzled I asked, "Mary who?" He replied "Mary Frey." Since we have gotten Apple TV I have been watching The Frey Life on our TV, I really didn't think he was paying attention but I was proved wrong. We came home to watch the vlog together. My husband relates to Peter, he also attended seminary at University of Edinburgh and cares for a chronically ill wife who is out of medication options. Thank you for welcoming us on your journey.
Awe, that is so sweet that you two have joined us on this journey! Thank you both for your care and concern. All is well now that we are home safe and sound. I hope today is filled with restful, fun time together!
Praying for you and Peter as you endeavor the ongoing fight of CF :) As a new nurse, I understand the medical aspects of it but textbooks cannot convey the true mental effects of complex disease processes. Through your vlogs, it allows others a glimpse into the many moving parts of chronic conditions and how it effects the patient and their caregivers. Thank you for being open, honest, and riveting!
I love your channel! You are so inspirational! The fact that you are so upbeat and cheerful...when feeling not so good helps me to take a step back and appreciate the little things in life! Thanks for showing your life and just know that you are helping others with every video! Much love and respect to you both! May you continue to be blessed beyond measure! 😍
I was scrolling through the comments and notice alot about Mary. So many nice compliments about her. Which I don't mind! But can we all take a moment to thank Peter for all that he does. ND how loving he is to his family!
Mary, you are an amazing beautiful light in this world. And Peter, you are the perfect partner. Two peas in a glorious pod, or should I say three? Can't leave out Ollie Boy. Thank you so much for all you do to share your CF life with all of us. Those of us who have someone in their life with CF appreciate you so much.
Having an IV in the hand weirds me out! I had one once when I was getting prepped for an endoscopy, and the nurse couldn't get my vein because it rolled. So she kept digging the needle around in there trying to find it and it was awful. I had a huge bruise for awhile after. Glad you're ok!
Hey Mary! I've commented in the past but I thought I'd say it again, but you really keep me going, you're so strong and amazing and the way you keep going every day is fabulous. I really love your channel and the way that it brings so many people closer today, it's cool in the comments seeing others with the same illnesses as you, even if it's not CF! Keep going Mary you're doing amazing xxxxx
As a frequent fainter - as in multiple times a day - the post confusion happens every time. Hope you are better recovered from it today. Keep on keeping on :)
My cat Allie is laying cuddling with me and I think she recognizes Mary's voice from me watching your videos. She is fully watching the vlog. It is so cute!! ♡
I actually saw you guys at the lobby that day , i got so excited but no one is at their best when their at the hospital, hopefully next time we can meet outside the hospital!
Awe, Hi! Thanks for understanding that fact...exactly how you said it "no one is at their best when at the hospital" :) You got that right! I hope everything went ok for YOU at the hospital! You can always wave to us, waves and smiles are ALWAYS welcome :)
The Frey Life Thank You ! For sharing your story with all if us, I had a hard time coming into terms with my illness and thinking at one point that the doctors didnt really know what to do with me , but watching you guys made me really stand up for myself , like you said no one knows your illness better than yourself and also you and peter made me come closer to God and instead of being mad due to the fact that I am ill but more thanking god for making me a stronger person ! I hope one day we can meet , would really want to talk more 😊 Take care , Lisa
Aww, passing out is the worst. I'm sorry that happened to you. I always have the nurses use a little rice bag warming thing on my arm first for a minute before they try to start my IVs, it always seems to help. I hope you are feeling better now!
Mary you are not looking like it's all ok. you have that special thing in your eyes...you have it every time when you are a little bit scared. Iam in the frey life family since the end of scotland ....everyday Iam cheering and pray for you guys! Hope you'll feel really ok sometimes ...Thx for bringing me so much Motivation and Joy (sorry for my bad english)
Hi Peter, Mary and oli - you both have the most upbeat personalities. thank you. we hope you get some rest after yesterday. sincerely the Benintendi family
Mary..I hope the fungal treatment makes a huge difference in your breathing...also thank you for letting us see what goes on at clinic...I find this is very helpful in understanding CF life. it must of been very scary for both of you when you passed out...You and Peter make such a strong team together...your both amazing people!
your such an inspiration like with my bowel disease and chronic illness i laugh live life and don't let my illness define or make me victim to it I'm me even when fighting my battles i smile and keep going you have such a great outlook and i admire all you do like i say be silly dance and live life
Full on fall!!! I live in North Dakota and we are still full on fall!! Love your videos! I don't have cf but still love the inspiration you give to everyone!
Long time watcher but first comment. Just want to say you guys are awesome. Mary, I'm constantly amazed by your strength and mindset, and Peter your support and commitment. You guys are great role models. As someone who has done just a tiny fraction of hospital time (having a cleft lip and palate) compared to you, I have so much respect for you, Mary and your constant CF fight. I will always be impressed by your family (with Ollie of course too--what a guy haha)! I wish you well and obviously will continue watching. Have a great holiday season! :)
Hi there! thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment. It means so much to hear that these videos can make a difference in the world. Thank you for your encouraging words!
Ouch I am so so sorry Mary I myself have vein issues really bad as I mentioned way back I have had over 94 surgeries 2 cut downs to get to the veins when I was little.
Oh no! I'm glad Peter caught you Mary! My partner and I were watching your blog and we both said the same thing. Your passing out sounds a lot like episodes I get that are called non-epileptic attacks. For me they are caused by stress and anxiety - especially in situations outwith my control or when I am upset. I'm not saying this is definitely what you experienced but everything from the weird feeling before, the rested feeling as though you've slept, the confusion after and I also get a bad headache too. My thoughts are with you both, you are such an inspiring wee family ♡
Oh Peter, I could see the stress on your face. Bless you. I understand my husband is there for me always. Husbands like are far and few. You got a great one Mary.
I love you guys so much. Mary, I'm so happy to see your care team being so great, but I'm saddened to hear that there's inflammation. You're all so beautiful! Lots of love.
You guys are awesome! You for advocating for yourself and Peter for supporting you in such a godly way! I wish you wouldn't have to go through all of this.
glad peter was there to catch you, you could see the concern in his eye's, i hope the anibiotics will work on your fungal issuse's! as always we will see you tomorrow and Angels on your Pillows God Bless!
After more than one similar experiences while having CT scans, I've been advocating at my local hospital for a set up either in or adjacent to the scan room where the patient can be sitting in a chair with their arm supported while the IV is put in. It's easier for the tech, and it's less dangerous for the patient. I'm glad you were self-aware enough to ask for support and I'm glad Peter was there to catch you. This wasn't about you being bad. It's about hospital systems not being set up proactively to avoid these situations.
Hay at least you passed out in the best place possible. So sorry it happened though, that must have been scary for you and Peter since it was so unexpected. I'm so glad your ok. I hope some meds can at least help a little so you can get to a higher base line so your not so sick lately, I can see the difference but your so tough and such a positive person. Love to you both and Ollie boy
Hey there Mary. I'm so sorry you went through that. I have pain triggered grand mal seizures. It's similar to passing out but your body convulses and the brain over fires. I could relate to you apologizing as I tend to do it to, lol. Hope you recover okay and I wish you the best of luck.
Your hair looks super pretty today! 💕
chester true that

God bless you Mary, Peter & Ollie Boy. Thank you Peter for being there to catch Mary. And Mary there is no reason to be sorry. Have the best weekend ever & hope you feel well. With all my love!

Mary, you are so blessed to have Peter, and Ollie. I am so glad that you are alright after all your scare.
Peter will always have your back. I love your hair all wild like that. I hope you two get a calm night to take it easy.
Bless you Mary! And BOTH of you are almost doctors by now, Peter! ;) (all 3 of you...Ollie also)
Glad you're doing okay now! I can relate to the afternoon headache. I had a migraine start creeping in toward the end of the school day so I was grateful when students left and that it's the weekend. RacerGirl88 cinnamon capsules?
RacerGirl88 cinnamon capsules are the best my brother takes them everyday to regulate his blood sugar
Gabby Darty I am a type two diabetic and only have been one for a year and some so have never heard of these. 😁. I love cinnamon lol. How does it work exactly? I love educating myself medically to be my own advocate in situations.
My mom is a diabetic and takes cinnamon regularly. She has great control on her sugar since taking them.
Moriganna Brown I think they help your metabolism work properly to digest certain nutrients. at least that's what my bottle says
I'm physio student and recently I had to write an essay about CF . Glad your ok! Ollie makes my day!
So glad Peter was there to catch you! Hopefully your hand starts feeling better soon.
I am so glad you are okay. Rest up okay? Passing out is scary. So glad Peter literally "had your back". Thank you for recording your visit. I worry about you.

You are so sweet to be concerned for those around you when you passed out. Your optimism is also so beautiful to witness #GodsGotThis
Hugs Mary💜 I have passed out in a similar matter. I love how concerned about Peter you are...you are the one who passed out!!!!

Wow!!! You both amaze me on your maturity, faith and grace on how you handle things.
So glad you are OK Mary.
Oh Mary, glad you were in the hospital when it happened. Glad you're ok.
1) PFT's suck in a major way.
2) You guys are such beautiful people. I love how positive you both are every single day.
3) You make me smile.
As a frequent fainter - as in multiple times a day - the post confusion happens every time. Hope you are better recovered from it today. Keep on keeping on :)
Always praying for your LilFamily:)
Oh Mary, I'm so sorry that you passed out! I hope you've had a better Friday, cariad! xxxx
Thank you :)
I hope your feeling better today Mary :) and are having a headache free day today as well.

Full on fall!!! I live in North Dakota and we are still full on fall!! Love your videos! I don't have cf but still love the inspiration you give to everyone!
Woop woop to Peter for being there everytime, and to you, because you can do this!! :D

Poor thing :( you are brave!! Glad your ok now.

Beautiful couple. Such an inspiration. Love your hair like that too!!

Great catch Peter!
Glad you are okay. Good thing Peter was there to catch you. Btw your hair looks pretty, Mary.
I love you guys so much. Mary, I'm so happy to see your care team being so great, but I'm saddened to hear that there's inflammation.
You're all so beautiful! Lots of love.
Thanks God that Peter caught you. How are you doing now? Hope your felling better.
I'm glad you're doing OK now
Thanks!
Man never a dull moment with you two!!😘
let's not have anymore episodes like that one 😢 hugs to you and Peter. you handle things so gracefully.
Hi sweet Mary. I am sorry you passed out.
Thank goodness u told Peter u were feeling odd. Good catch Peter! feel better soon.
You guys are awesome! You for advocating for yourself and Peter for supporting you in such a godly way! I wish you wouldn't have to go through all of this.

I agree! you would think it was standard procedure.
Great job advocating for yourself! I do the same thing at the children's hospital where I live for cf!
I hope everything is OK. Keep fighting. We love you.
Hey there Mary. I'm so sorry you went through that. I have pain triggered grand mal seizures. It's similar to passing out but your body convulses and the brain over fires. I could relate to you apologizing as I tend to do it to, lol. Hope you recover okay and I wish you the best of luck.
I hope you feel better soon and you guys be careful on the way home. I will be watching tomorrow.
I really hope you start to feel better soon Mary 👍 And good job Peter and Ollie 😊
When you said that you leaned on Peter, that old song came to my mind " Lean on me" LOL
