He's just swinging, I don't really know why but the reason it's something like "why not, you might just hit something since the swing hitbox is pretty large" People do it on Rein too and it's true, I've seen people hit heroes like Tracer, Sombra or Genji since they appear out of nowhere and they just walk into the swing hitbox by accident
That's not how Brig works. Her passive Inspire basically activates any time she gets any damage, whether that be from a normal swing, a whipshot, or a shield bash. When it activates, she does 15 hp/s healing for 5 seconds over a 20m radius from where she hit her attack. So the swings themselves don't do any healing unless she hits something, but they also have no downside in spamming.
Can someone explain what I'm missing here? All the good Brig players seem to swing their flail a lot at nothing or when they are clearly out of range. Why? EDIT: I see I'm far from the first to ask. 😂 Im guessing its just because... why not? It doesnt appear to slow your run speed and you just might hit someone.
it basically reduces your reaction time. if a flanker is near you and you’re not swinging it’s unlikely you’ll react in time to do anything so if you’re constantly swinging you react faster + heal any teammate you have nearby. it also helps you with shield discipline. I hope this helps. maybe someone can explain it better
I play Brig and the best way I can put it is that you have nothing to lose from swinging. You might accidentally hit someone that ints in. You also do it around corners to control the space. The only time I don't swing is when I don't want the other team to know where I or my team is set up since they can hear the swings.
You'd be surprised how many times people just walk into your flail while you're swinging. Especially Sombra and Tracer. It's great to do when you're in a safe position when you aren't shielding or taking any damage. Flankers will often get caught by this by mistake while trying to scout backline for intel. It's also a way to "spy check" it's basically free value. It's important to know when to attack, shield, or kite back though. One down side is that it does telegraph your position. The flail animation is pretty big people can see you swing from around corners and it does make noise. Edit: and when you do manage to hit something it will also proc your passive inspire and start healing anything near where you struck your enemy, so it can give accidental damage and healing
Top500 start from high diamond & master + he may have gotten top500 before and got stuck in low elo because of teammates, like kenzo who is stuck in diamond even when he is top500

Got some improving to do, but I thought there were some solid plays in here.

Does it heal each time you swing or are you just doing it?
