Climbing and Photographing Muckish Mountain

Landscape photographer Shawn Williams explores and photographs Muckish Mountain in the north west of county Donegal, Ireland. He gives a bit of history on the locations and shares some of his photographs of Muckish Mountain. This is another video on his exploration and photography of epic locations for landscape photography. He captures some aerial video of Muckish with his Parrot Anafi Drone.

I have climbed Muckish many times. I got stuck on the top in heavy fog and managed to map read my way safely down. I LOVE this mountain.

Did you climb down the same side I filmed the video? If so you were lucky. I found it difficult in good weather

@@ShawnWilliamsPhotography I went up the very steep part at the start and then on to where the discarded mine was. My father in law climbed every day to work, bless him. When I got stuck at the top I realised it was a life or death situation. I had an ordnance survey map and I found my way to the stone x and then with some luck retraced my steps down.

Nice video , really enjoyed your take . Climbed this 2days ago. Vertigo inducing narrow pathways! Surreal place and I also photographed parts of the climb in 35mm B&W film . Can't wait to get pictures back.
