Climbing and Photographing Muckish Mountain

Landscape photographer Shawn Williams explores and photographs Muckish Mountain in the north west of county Donegal, Ireland. He gives a bit of history on the locations and shares some of his photographs of Muckish Mountain. Nice video , really enjoyed your take . Climbed this 2days ago. Vertigo inducing narrow pathways! Surreal place and I also photographed parts of the climb in 35mm B&W film . Can't wait to get pictures back.

I have climbed Muckish many times. I got stuck on the top in heavy fog and managed to map read my way safely down. I LOVE this mountain.

Did you climb down the same side I filmed the video? If so you were lucky. I found it difficult in good weather

@@ShawnWilliamsPhotography I went up the very steep part at the start and then on to where the discarded mine was. My father in law climbed every day to work, bless him. When I got stuck at the top I realised it was a life or death situation. I had an ordnance survey map and I found my way to the stone x and then with some luck retraced my steps down.
