This song is sad but Pac was a genius, the reason the why there is only 3 verses, is because at the end of the final verse the 16 year old in this story sadly gets executed. I wish rappers like Pac were more common nowadays in mainstream hip hop.
Unfortunately mainstream artists are hand picked by people with an agenda. But good artists are out there like Lowkey, Immortal Technique and many many more...
@@deathitself6985 Death Itself Yes I have as well as the other 13 unreleased Makaveli albums (probally put together by someone other than Pac) that was leaked. I'm a huge fan and one of my favorite mainstream artists. 2Pac was a hand picked artist but like Michael Jackson he rebelled against the system at some point. Unfortunately like Malcom X he died before people were able to see most of his changes and plans.
Wow these lyrics.....makes me almost wanna cry 2pac seen through what most of the world turns a blind eye to, makes me realize how blind i was until i started listening to 2pac...wish he was still here
he elevated the game to a point that we cant reach. for example, marcus garvey set the tone for malcom x them Mr.X took it to the next level. we tend to forget that hip hop was a way to communicate with our people to send a message that our enemies couldnt understand. see how it relates to how slaves made songs so the masters couldnt understand what they were doing. now we need something else
Pac was and still is the only true rapper, who is a so call martyr, the only witness to his only testimony about what's behind the music industry without noticing the effects and of the outcome he lived and acted like a rebel put his life took a turn to realize that his own heart and mind what driven into something he really not wanted to be.. you can hear it in his music!
This song is a masterpiece made by 2Pac, the way he talks about so many things, so many problems of the sistem, of the society in just one song is amaizing
This is just another masterpiece written by the greatest rapper the world will ever see... I can listen to Pac 24/7.. Simply because he speaks from the heart and you can tell it...
Love Pac, just look this song. He made it for the people sitting on death row imagine how he touch their heart? He could touch everyonrs heart… legend smh

Yep and it was unreleased until, Pac's death too. I'm telling you I might be 20 years but Pac is still way more relevant than some rappers currently alive.
@sonep511.. yeah I think he "made" almost all his songs when he was alive.. lol!... and like dude said this song and album wasnt released until 1997, after his death
After 4:30, after he says now I'm straight heading for the chair, the beat gets dark, you can imagine the teenager walking to the chair while the guards are holding his arms, shackled wrists and ankles, then they strap him to the chair after that they put the mask to hide his face, finally, at 4:47, after he says 16 on death row, the electricity hits, and the teenager is executed. This is how I've seen it, Tupac's music is like aquiring alcohol tastes, you find something new everytime even if it wasn't intended, nothing less than art. May heaven be your destination Pac.
R.I.P. Rap will never be the same. Thanks 2pac for delivering some solid fire and giving some semblance of legitimacy to the genre. All garbage nowadays. All. Lil wayne is a straight up joke do not compare him to Pac...it's apples to oranges there.

Top 3 Rappers:
#1 2pac
#2 Makaveli
#3 Tupac Shakur
The 2nd wasnt a rapper it was someone that believe in faking your death for fame
Swag_pack Makaveli is 2pac and machiavelli was a politician
It was a person and a belief of faking your death I did research on Tupac for a class and the name popped up so I looked it up to
xCGNx Alpha finally i see someone with a brain. Niccolo machiavelli isnt 2pac.

Message of the song: The trick is to never lose hope. Pac lives on thru his songs.
NO RAPPER WILL EVER COME CLOSE TO 2PAC RIP ...
“Peter picked a pepper but I can pick a punk” as a 13 year old this line made me love Tupac
One of the more under rated pac songs & beats of all time imo tho. Flows on point on this beat.
Pac always had the tightest beats. Another gem
2Pac spoke the truth in his gangsta rap music.
Facts and in a time when u couldnt just say what u wanted to say he paved the way for the game
Pac wouldnt characterize his music as "gangsta" rap... he said if anything it was soul music... rugged uncut n raw soul rap music.. from Black Jesus

I'm bitter cause I'm dyin, so much I haven't seen
I know you never dreamed, your baby would be dead at 16
I got beef with a sick society that doesn't give a shit
And they too quick to say goodbye to me
They tell me the preacher's there for me
He's a crook with a book, that mothafucka never cared for me
He's only here to be sure
I don't drop a dime to God 'bout the crimes he's commitin on the poor
I got beef with this society that doesn’t give a shit bout me
But they’re quick to say goodbye to me
Cause when they come for me they find a struggler
