Thanks Kinoti. I dont have a specific answer to your question. If you could go to electrical shops like in Nyamakima they could give you the best guidance. Even better email East African cables. They are the best
To prevent tug from pulling the wire out, you can pull the flex through the hole and tie a knot as that will prevent tugging from exposing live wire(s).
I should do a video on this. Though an easy way is to have a piece of board or wood then screw on the pattress for your twin sockects then wire the tops and close it up
Anyone should be able to wire a plug. It's really not difficult at all. You can practise first with a short length of spare cable. The biggest problem for beginners is getting the right feel for the side cutters when stripping insulation. But you only need to practise a few times on some scrap cable and it gets easier after a short while. It's even easier wiring the socket end, because there is more room to work.
Let you know I'm sorry to tell you this but once you put the wires in their actual place you need more you should explain where the wires go and show where
I actually had to rewatch the video. I have explained all that and shown in the video . All including the corresponding colours . Watch the whole video
Very well explained, clear, precise and friendly. Thank you!
You're welcome
Nothing to prevent the cord from being ripped from the outlet one good tug on the outlet and we have exposed live wires.

Thanks for the advice Smiths 🙏
Great, but I would have used a rubberised or heavy-duty plug. Same process however.
Great tip!
good video
Thanks
Hi! Would i be able to use this to power garden tools such as a lawnmower, strimmer, hedgecutter etc? Thank you in advance 😊
Yes, absolutely
@@EVANSNGURE Thank you for your reply 😊
Can you make it with a 2.5 cable or is 1.5 best
The higher the gauge the better... 2.5 will be able to withstand a heater, welding machine while 1.5 lesser gadgets like lamps, charging etc
@@EVANSNGURE Thank you so much 👍

Hi thanks for watching. Yes 1.5 flex 3 core
what if am using a two wire cable? what do i omit N OR L or E?
Just connect neutral and Live ... that's what you need to power up your device. Earth is important in protecting against high voltage

Most welcome ☺
Is this safe to do though
It's safe so long as you do it right. Never bought extension cables
It is the same as feeding your washing machine socket from a fused switch.

Yes you can . Ensure you use a quality components
How if the wire has no earth wire?
It's important it has an earth wire. The two way cables are most common with lamps
