    Nothing to prevent the cord from being ripped from the outlet one good tug on the outlet and we have exposed live wires.

    Great video! How do I identify a cable that can handle 36W of power like for an oven?

      Thanks Kinoti. I dont have a specific answer to your question. If you could go to electrical shops like in Nyamakima they could give you the best guidance. Even better email East African cables. They are the best

    To prevent tug from pulling the wire out, you can pull the flex through the hole and tie a knot as that will prevent tugging from exposing live wire(s).

    Great, but I would have used a rubberised or heavy-duty plug. Same process however.

    Can you make it with a 2.5 cable or is 1.5 best

    • @EVANSNGURE
      @EVANSNGURE  11 місяців тому +1

      The higher the gauge the better... 2.5 will be able to withstand a heater, welding machine while 1.5 lesser gadgets like lamps, charging etc

      It is the same as feeding your washing machine socket from a fused switch.

    • @SuperLittleTyke
      @SuperLittleTyke Рік тому +1

      Anyone should be able to wire a plug. It's really not difficult at all. You can practise first with a short length of spare cable. The biggest problem for beginners is getting the right feel for the side cutters when stripping insulation. But you only need to practise a few times on some scrap cable and it gets easier after a short while. It's even easier wiring the socket end, because there is more room to work.

    • @EVANSNGURE

      It's important it has an earth wire. The two way cables are most common with lamps
