This is something to maybe consider in the Dallas, TX ball parking some figures that I have each month based on the $3,000 you’re making. Rent: $1,650 Utilities w/tv services, phone, etc: $450 Car insurance w/gas: $150 (car paid for) thankfully Food (if I don’t eat out 😞): $200 entire month Which totals to, let’s say, $2,300-$2,500 depending on utilities and driving (gas prices). That leaves me with up to $500, again depending on the month so play with. If you’re going to go into this business, look at everything you have now and estimate how much you’ll need to make per month to sustain that lifestyle. If you make more, awesome but at least the minimum amount.

There is even franchises for this type of business in fact that’s how I noticed the business to start with . I was on the major job search site indeed and I came across a scoop soldiers job posting and it was for like 15 dollars an hour. I even applied but I think the job posting was kinda old and most likely filled. It did spark in my brain about why not be the business owner instead of an employee and I would make a lot more money. This business might not be the most glamorous but it checks off a lot of the boxes. It’s low cost to start and low cost to run and you don’t have to learn some skill set that takes 6 months to learn like coding or something. Even the franchises are a lot cheaper than other franchises. I like the franchise model because I wouldn’t be in business by myself. The one I’m looking at I think even has a call center where they help you get more customers and I think they even give you crm (customer relationship management) software and website to help manage your business. I don’t want a job I want a business because you can grow a business you can’t grow a job. I might have to work up to getting the franchise because it does cost a few thousand dollars. Start off as independent and then work up to it. If this works out hopefully I can get me a Ford Maverick hybrid so then I have a work truck and stop racking up miles on personal vehicle. You want the Ford Maverick hybrid because it can get up to 42 miles a gallon which is a huge plus in a service based industry with constant driving. Ford thought it out and geared their truck towards the frugal (careful with money type) and if you go just base model no bells and whistles it will be about 20 thousand. If you go to their top of line model it’s still around 35 thousand (I think ) . It looks like a neat little truck and watch some videos on people reviewing it and see what you think 🤔

Need some advice. 1) what's it like in the winter or rainy days? 2) how to charge the customer without offering them a expensive vs a inexpensive service? 3) how many customers do I need to quit my 9-5 job?
Hey Keith! Great questions. And I appreciate you taking the time to watch the videos! 1) Winter doesn't change much and I actually retained many of my customers. Dogs don't stop pooping when its cold haha. You may lose a few but they usually come back. 2) You want to charge based on the value you provide and how you market yourself. I'd keep your prices lower initially until you are more established. 3) That all depends on your lifestyle. For me I needed to replace at least $1500 a month before I quit. Which was about 30 customers. You also have to consider the fact that it takes way less time than a normal job to make the same amount. I made $3800 per month in only 25 hours of work. You could do a side hustle as well to supplement your income. Hope all that helps!
@@scooppros420 thanks for the tips. How did you get your customers? Who did you market to? And I said you charged $60 for a one time clean up fee. If they want a weekly, should it be cheaper?

Nice job. Ive thought of starting one of these scooper businesses for years now. Im thinking of adding it to my rolodex of businesses. Theres zero of these where I live. I can easily get it to $1000 part time. ✌ ✌
Hey Dexter! I would definitely suggest it if you don't have much competition. You can easily get a $1000 or more in very little time. Good luck with everything and thanks for watching!
How much time per week do you spend working/driving for your business with 65 customers? What is the average time you spend on a yard that you clean weekly?
I try to keep the costs lower to make it more affordable to the general population. But you could definitely charge more. No problem thanks for watching!
Usually I'd speak with the owner and dispose the waste in their garbage bins. If they wanted me to take it offsite then I'd charge extra and take it to a pet related business that I made an agreement with to use their dumpster. If that doesn't work you'd have to take it home to throw away in your own bin unfortunately. Hope that helps!
Double bagging poop is required almost everywhere. It is so simple. Just put a bag in your scooper. Tie it up when finished, and toss it in a bag lining a trash can. When it is tied up, all the small bags inside will be double bagged! Neat idea I picked up on another video somewhere.
Hi scoop pros. Really good video. Lots of good information. My question: How many hours are you and your girlfriend devoting to the business to make the $3300? have you expanded with more clients since this video was made? Thanks bud.
Well it took us 20-25 hours max per week to service 70 customers. At that point we were earning over $3700. Other than that maybe another 2-3 hours of marketing and sending out invoices. Once I was established I didn't spend much time on other stuff. I've sold the business so I no longer do this. But thank you for watching!
@@lisamariott5658 good question! The only reason for me selling is that I was simply tired of being stuck in my hometown. I needed a way out and my business was the perfect opportunity to fund me leaving. If I could've took the business with me I would've in a heartbeat! I loved it and miss it a lot.
I personally think that you should charge 2-3 times more for one time… you said 45 bucks a month for 1 dog weekly. So that customer is paying $540 a year. Vs the customer who calls you once every 6 months for $60. That customer is only paying you $120 a year. If you charged more for one time let’s say. $175-180 you would be compensated better for your time cause it’s 6 months worth of turd and likely to turn that customer into a monthly client.
I can't believe your comment slipped through the cracks I apologize man! You can send me an email (scoopprosllc@gmail.com) with any questions and I'll do my best to help you out. Thanks for watching!

@@scooppros420 thanks for the tips. How did you get your customers? Who did you market to? And I said you charged $60 for a one time clean up fee. If they want a weekly, should it be cheaper?
I'm going to go for it man. Thanks 🙂
My only question is what do you do with the poop? Is there places that take it for free as compost or how do you dispose of it.
so if i want to start tomorrow, how do i do it. go
Thank you very much for this! I might have questions as I get going, how can I reach out to you for advice occasionally?
No problem man! You can email me at scoopprosllc@gmail.com. I'll try to help as best as I can. Thanks for taking the time to watch and sharing your thoughts!
Absolutely, thank you so much sir!
I would charge a lot more! Thanks for the video!
I try to keep the costs lower to make it more affordable to the general population. But you could definitely charge more. No problem thanks for watching!
How do you dispose of the waste
Cool idea
Thank you Heather!
@@scooppros420 I also loved your informative video..can I ask if was making good money..why sell business?
@@lisamariott5658 good question! The only reason for me selling is that I was simply tired of being stuck in my hometown. I needed a way out and my business was the perfect opportunity to fund me leaving. If I could've took the business with me I would've in a heartbeat! I loved it and miss it a lot.
@@scooppros420 congrats on the sale, it may be intrusive to ask but out of curiosity how much in foward earnings did you sell for?
Thanks Brotha!
Where do you market
I didn’t catch the part on how to contact you
scoopprosllc@gmail.com
I personally think that you should charge 2-3 times more for one time… you said 45 bucks a month for 1 dog weekly.
So that customer is paying $540 a year.
Vs the customer who calls you once every 6 months for $60. That customer is only paying you $120 a year.
If you charged more for one time let’s say. $175-180 you would be compensated better for your time cause it’s 6 months worth of turd and likely to turn that customer into a monthly client.
Rock on dude.
I wish someone would of said 1)how many days and which days per week to work
I only worked Monday through Friday! From about 6am to 11am. The days you work are completely up to you.
How do you find your customers? Door to door?
Paislee
Why did you quit the business? 380 like
Try biodegradable bags

I can't believe your comment slipped through the cracks I apologize man! You can send me an email (scoopprosllc@gmail.com) with any questions and I'll do my best to help you out. Thanks for watching!
What city did you live in?
I was in Evansville Indiana! 120,000 population.
Thank you 😀
would you just put the dog waste in their garbage can?
Scoop Pros is there a way that I can call you questions that I might have for you?
Hi Chad, feel free to reach out if you have any questions :)
Bro can you help me to start this business ?
Yes I can for sure! Send me an email and we can talk things over. My email is scoopprosllc@gmail.com. Look forward to hearing from you!
I hired someone and she took my cash and supplies and didn’t do the job and disappeared.
Why would you hire someone instead of doing it yourself when you're just starting??
Pepper spray!
How do you get business? Facebook ads, door to door, walking in businesses? I'm currently running some Facebook ads but wanting to drive more business.
Use flyers on doors with pictures of you and use quality paper and in color with a mini sales pitch and tape to doors or mailboxes
no scoopin poo for a entire year?? 😱 i wonder what that yard looks like!! yikes!!
Disgusting!!
Gotta love capitalism baby
