Gotta say, these guys are one of premier Trad Metal bands on my radar. This past weekend they came to St. Johns, Newfoundland and I got to see them play twice, hung out and drank with them all night and Inti was kind enough to give me their LP and shirt when I mentioned I could only afford the CD. Bunch of great dudes who sound better than the record live!

This sounds like it was recorded in the 80's - it has that classic sound and style. I hear alot of Omen, 1st-album Fates Warning, Obsession, Martyr (Holland), Deaf Dealer (Canada), and other assorted bands from that era. I was there during the metal explosion of the 80's; that was a unique time in history that will probably never be repeated.
This is good stuff. The singer sounds a lot like Michael Kiske. Man I wish we had UA-cam back in the day when I was young metalhead in the late 70s early 80s hell going into the 90s. It would have saved me a lot of money I could have cherry picks through the bands available to me, all over the world.
I know, right? Back then we bought a lot of albums based on the cover art and song titles. I had quite a few disappointing purchases that way. Also got some good ones, but the only real vetting process we had back then was tape trading and borrowing someone's album. Eventually there were midnight metal shows on radio and then MTV, but usually that was only one song featured. YT drives me crazy because they sometimes censor my comments, but you can find an awful lot of stuff here to check out for free.
@@thomasdemonte8789 Interesting that you have the Diamond album on your playlist! I'm listening to it now. I had that album, I think they sent it to me for review when I was doing a fanzine. There were so many good albums that were unnoticed and I often wonder if anyone besides me heard them back then. Like Vyper, Griffin, Recon, Megattack, Zion, Xalt, etc.
@@mr.d.572 Vyper, Recon and Griffin I definitely heard of back in the day. Yeah the fanzines back in the day definitely were a go to to assist me and my buddy Chuck when we went on metal hunts! In Connecticut Cutler's music and Phoenix records were the places we hit to find the obscure stuff. Man I bet your magazine would have been welcome by us for sure!
@@thomasdemonte8789 It was called M.A.R.S. (Metal Album Reviews). It circulated pretty far to my surprise. I used to correspond with a few CT bands - Liege Lord, Steel Prophet and Sacred Oath. I'm a big fan of the 1st Liege Lord album. Also like Obsession a lot, and of course Fates Warning. Two other very underrated and deserving bands were Siren from Florida and Hittman from NY. I interviewed both and went out to Long Island to see Hittman. Those were really interesting times back then. Now there are bands trying to recapture those times and some are good like Angelic Forces, but for the most part they all sound the same.

I am hearing a definite Fates Warning / early Queensryche / Obsession feel to this. Sounds like this album could have easily came out in 1985 / 1986; even though it just came out this year in 2018.
Och co za wyśmienity wspaniały Hard i Heavy metal na pełnym gazie trochę przypomina mi zaczną dziewice czyli Iron Meiden ale zespół wyrobił sobie własny styl i broni się sam jest ok.
Lets go back to 1984 and Ample Destruction by Jag Panzer because the vocalist here sounds much like Harry Conklin. The album as a whole is as hot as embers from the fire pit. But lets question the engineer and why he made everything sound as if their playing inside a tunnel. I don't think this effort by the band needed any camouflage in front of their songs. Despite the fact it wouldn't detour me from buying this album. I only wish we had a few more songs.
... everytime i come across this album i get sooooo pissed off...at how much the songs kick ass but the solos are weak in all the songs... big time! Pls anyone be honest and talk about this....i loved the riffs the melodies the choruses but not a single solo i could tolerate... i really wanted to buy this...too bad... the solos are poorly mixed and sound too spontaneous... and maybe recorded from one take...
I didn't think the solos were bad at all...they fit the songs. This is what underground metal sounded like in the 80's. It was rough and gritty, not perfect. That was the ethos from which metal came.

Just wanna say thanks so much for all the work on unloading. I dont like everything but have found many a jems. This is solid for sure
FANTASTIC ALBUM. THE GUITAR RIFFS AND VOCAL STYLE THEY USE MUST BE LESSON FOR THE NEW BANDS. PURE 80S SOUL. THANKS FOR SHARING!
This album dominated 2018! Manacle needs more recognition for this killer record

Mr. D. (80's?) nope .....is digitally recorded
I meant that as a compliment....from what I can tell, many NWOTHM bands are trying to capture the spirit of that golden age of metal.
HELLOWEEN
Not sure if you've heard Satan's Hollow.. but damn, it's killer
yes your right . awesome sound I also hear a sum of my fellow Texans metal legends the MIGHTY HELSTAR . also a bit of jag panzer .
Ok god cd band NWOTHM Of Canada 🤘🎸😊🇨🇦⭐💛❤️👍🎸😻🥰

Why is everyone so bothered by the length? It's the quality that counts. And this is pure quality.
I guess people are used to having quantity to feel like they get their money's worth. Personally I'd go for quality over quantity any day.

Охренеть! Мелодика и убойные риффы в одном флаконе! Жалко, что по времени диск не очень продолжительный, но как говорится, краткость сестра таланта!
Excellent guys keep on rockin'!!!!
Holy shit how did I miss this one. Simply amazing.
Totally out of context but the cover reminds me a lot of the tower of conviction arc from the berserk manga
The album which i've been waiting for the years...
Scintillating frosty haunting good times, thanks Canucks ! ! ! 🏒

Me recuerda algo a "candlemass" y "fates warning". Veo que de Canadá está saliendo Heavy metal de mucha calidad 🤘
Owwwh.... You amaze me..!!!
Fantastic first track! Gonna repeat it before listening to the rest
I met some of new line up in March these guys a killer and great people wild show to see live also.
Another great band from Canada preordered.
Extremely good heavy metal!

HELLOWEEN
Helloween with the singing. Very Kiske sounding.
Musically, it is more on the lines of Obsession or early Fates Warning.
28 minutes = best length for the heavy metal album.
spectacular. fantastic.
More awesome Canadian metal!
Cant wait to see these guys with Cloven Hoof in Toronto
These guys in the background remind me creatures from Keeper of the Seven Keys cover.
This.....is ....crazy good i am crying so good
IKR?!?
Crying? There's no crying in metal!

Muy buen album de heavy metal clásico , con una voz que sube bien y muy acorde al estilo de la banda.
WOW, JUST WOW
Great album! Thx!
Great album! Very good speed metal!
Too bad it's so short, and there are only two new songs compared to the demo...
yeah, I know. But I was hoping a few more tracks... 28 minutes, it's really short. It's also really good, so it's not a big problem.
this is great love it METAL RULEZ!!!!!
LOVE THEIR SOUND !!! BUT NOT ONLY....... ! THEY ARE GREAT !
you are correct sounds a bit like HELLOWEEN
Long live Phil Labine.. who actually played bass on this record. I played the drums. Leave me in chains boys. -Jake

A good mix of early Helloween and Jag Panzer
Think that the singer sounds like Kiske.
Agreed
Rite
He reminds me more of Geoff Tate from the Rage for Order days. But definitely there is Kiske in there.
How come Negron is not the bassist?
I'm disappointed.
Sounds kinda good tho

He's quite good and certainly in Harry's vain. A bit tamed, compared to Conklin. Ruffians era C.Albert and Recon's Vett Roberts, as well.
Skull fist with Mr hallford..=fucking sick
