Drummers amaze me, they function so differently than a normal human. The ability to play triplets on the kick and quarters on everything else is beyond me.
You mean because you're used to the layered open hats? haha! I decided not to layer anything and to stay true to the original take instead of making a live-version, combining the different things! :) Thanks a ton for the kind words!
I'm so glad you went back to 'brilliant' sounding cymbals. Trashy cymbals are cool and all, and I won't complain if you like em, but these are so much nicer on my ears.
I like having the options! I believe my final setup will be a mixture between them, hehe. But yeah with options it can always change depending on style/needs/etc! It was interesting to play a bunch of typically "brilliant" cymbal songs and styles on the dry series to see what it sounded like - very different character and vibes! I really love the dry one's, but there's just something about these that goes so well with typical rock styles :)
