I wanted to throw in one more thing. IF the grading company charges you more than you originally thought, THATS A GOOD THING!!!!
That means your card graded higher than expected, sooooooo, it’s worth more !!!!!!

Agreed, except your ROI takes a huge dip if you send in a card you think is valued at $400, your grading cost would be $19. But if they grade it and it’s now valued at $600, grading cost would be $75 or whatever, that eats into profits for sure. My numbers are off, but you know what I mean. In the end, I agree, I’m happy with that call! But I can see why some others wouldn’t be.

I like graded cards. But I don't like all of the scandals I've read about in the last few years. My opinion, I'd rather keep my PC in top loaders in the time being.

Understood! It just won’t be as easy for you or your family to sell them at their best value.

Cheeto fingers?!? Hilarious! Haven’t had the guts to get anything graded just yet…working myself toward that ledge, though.

I love to get my cards graded. I just like how they present in a slab. I'm currently waiting on 30+ cards I recently sent to CGC for grading... I can't wait to have them back!

I’m the same way. Plus, opening up the returned box is like opening an awesome pack of cards, not knowing what graded you got!

I’m so torn on grading. If you get a guy in a bad mood your grade shrinks. The graders make about minimum wage and get, what, three minutes to complete the grade?? ‘but’ card value goes way up against raw cards.
ALSO-- if I sign a paper ten times I guarantee it will look different all ten times. WHO is the guy claiming he knows if my auto is legitimate? Only me and the guy I signed it for know for sure.
    Hope that helps #happyhobby family.

More than one person/grader looks at your cards/grades, but I know what you are saying. I just don’t think it’s as simple as someone in a bad mood makes your 10 an 8.
