Great video as usual! Great horn show on that first grain train! And if you noticed, one of BNSF's GN 'Heritage Hoppers' was in the consist (Around 1:37). Nice catch of the KCS leader on that second train! I agree on the symbol, that's likely the MEWEY. On the UP rock train, there was a nice looking pure Mopac hopper first out. Nice catch! On the CP-led grain train, when I first heard that P3, the first thing I thought of was SP. Pretty much nearly all SP standard-cab units had P3's. But some CP units have 'em too, like this one. And considering that the train was nearly entirely CP hoppers, it was probably headed up to Canada. Cool catch! And, nice catch of the executive MAC and CP unit on the coal train!
Thanks! And oh wow, interesting to see a heritage hopper in the consist! Yeah, I was guessing that the UP manifest with a KCS leader was the MEWEY since it had those gondolas and scrap metal cars. And yeah, that CP led grain train could've been a run-through to Canada. But all of them were awesome. It's nice to see some CP units visiting down south into Texas since BNSF is leasing some due to the growing rail traffic and power shortages.
Awesome video! I was at PLR yesterday, and all 4 trains I caught were interesting despite them having GEVO leaders. The first one you would definitely like since it has a new K5HL horn, but on an older GEVO. The second one had a legit UP engine trailing, meaning I've seen a UP locomotive in person! The third one had 4 engines of different paint schemes, and the 4th one was the Tropicana Juice train!
***** If you saw, my latest video disproves any theory that train vs car incidents don't occur in neighborhoods; some moron went around closing gates when he would've been stopped for less than a minute!
Thanks! For some reason when I heard a P3 in the distance, at first I thought it was gonna be either UP 9683 (UP Dash 9 I know of with a P3), an older SD unit, or an H1 Dash 9 (some of them have P3's), but as the train came closer I was amazed to see a Canadian visitor.
That's one of BNSF's "Heritage Hoppers". They painted several hoppers in that gray/white color and put the logo of one of their fallen flags on them. From what I've heard there are three cars for each of 9 roads: ATSF, BN, CB&Q, C&S, FW&D, GN, NP, SL-SF, and SP&S. However, one of the C&S Hoppers was crushed in a wreck.
Thanks! Yeah it's nice to see Canadian powers down here in the south. Used to they were impossible to find, but now they're starting to visit Texas due to the growing rail traffic and power shortages, and things are going to get better with leased foreign powers coming in. I've seen a very few CN units before, but unfortunately I missed most of them and the only one I caught was the Blue Devil.
Sorry for the post but.. There's no wonder why the CP led grain train had CP in charge.. You know it came from the Dakotas or maybe even Canada somewhere. Talk about looking totally out of place around here!
Too bad most railfans see trains during the day, because if you were in Richmond 12-ish hours earlier, you probably would've seen this: abc13.com/news/officer-saves-woman-from-train-tracks-with-seconds-to-spare/134744/ A woman (apparently drunk or something) was sitting on the tracks in front of a UP rock train, but she was saved at the last second.
Nice catch with the CP AC4400CW! It had a very nice P5!
Thanks! It's P3 was really nice!
Great video as usual!

Awesome job AC loved the CP leader
Thanks Mason and me too!
your welcome AC
I saw the end of that CP hopper train, and I thought it was a KCS train! Cool catches though.

1:38 There's a Northern Pacific logo on the white hopper. Interesting...

Man you got awesome horns! Good job!
Thanks! I sure did.
LOL! The SD70MAC's number Same as TOSR Rhyon (on last train).
Great catches. It's good to see CP down in Texas once in a while. Have you ever seen CN down in Texas before?

Railfanning Rosenberg with some CP visitors
Awesome!
***** Thanks!
Joseph Rose Thanks!!!!
that awkward moment when you see a KCS engine in the same video as two CP units.
Good job!

Holy crap, that was insane!
Holy cow, that is crazy! I'm glad that cop pulled her free! Jeez!
