    Mad respect for Michael Angelo playing Pantera on the ML. When you think about it, Michael was an already established player when those songs came out, and even he found the songs important enough to learn. He played those like he already knew them so you just know he literally learned them because he liked them and no other reason.
    I always use to think when you became established like that you just did your own thing and really didn't learn songs other people wrote. He proved me wrong on that.
    MAB attitude and ability to play is what makes him a great guitar player, he is better than Yngwie and thats a tall order. No that doesn't mean I think Yngwie is bad. But it is true, on speed MAB has him beat, and yes after this demo of songs that were written by Pantera it proves he approaches it with feeling and emotion even if he doesn't wear it on his face. So really the only thing that sets Yngwie and MAB apart is speed, in which MAB is factually faster, likely due to the minimal movement approach to picking and fretting. Very little movement allows him to pick up speed.
    Great Demo.

    @VintagePlexiSound Yup. Especially for live shows. The neck feels amazing and the whole guitar is perfectly balanced. Also it feels like a quality guitar but it's not heavy. Neither too light though. I suggest you go check one out at your local guitar shop. They are great guitars. However if you have the money, go for the USA custom shop ones, this one's made in korea i think. Rock on.

    This is a good example of how great Dime was. Batio has by far more technique and skill than Darrell but Batio's solos over Pantera progressions pale in comparrison to Dime's. Dime may not have had the ultimate chops, (though his skill was considerable) but his solos were completely individual to him and his note selection was beyond superb. I know its cliche to say he played with feeling but he somehow combined the precision of shred with the feeling of blues. He is sorely missed.

    i said with a hot rail, Hot rails are about 16.4k output and these standard zebra pickups are about 9k. so youll get much more gain, the alder body of a fender is lightweight and is alot better for metal compared to mahogany. and, its a friggen fender.

  • @Pentso666

    its based on opinion, with the right modifications, a fender can sound amazing, and theres no such thing as a bad guitar company, dean are good, get one if you want, but remmeber to explore the market, the only company ive given up on is gibson. but they must have good guitars somewhere. i currently use ibanez and fender. ive had a few deans (and still have an ML-XLH) and there good.

  • @Yam9393
    @Yam9393 11 років тому

    very chunky and rich, you feel like the wood of the neck is filled from the inside unlike many other guitars, you just feel like the wood is too light or empty inside of them. those deans only make you want to play more, feels alive

    and yes, from the past five years, alot of gibsons ive tried have poor quality control (my friend had a shred-x explorer, the locking nut for the khaler was not even in properly, and the frets were uneven) the studio which i got had no fretwire cut, and there was glue on the fretboard, i sent it back and got an sg, the guitar was poorly intonated and the frets were terrible. and yes you can hide the strat sound ( A hot rail is just a humbucker in a single coil size.) and i prefer alder.

    Adrian smith, dave murray, janik Gers, Kirk hammett ( early 85's youd see kirk use a hot railed strat) yingwie malmsteen, Steve vai, joe satriani and many more have used/still used one. Alder is a lightweight wood and has alot more mid end so its ideal for metal, hence why ibanez, ESP, BC rich and jackon use it often. compared to mahogany with its bassy like tone, and its heavy on stage, which is why people prefer alder or basswood. your just thinking "omg strat cant do metal!!!" when they can.

    I agree with MIDEVILPOOP120. Not many metal players use fender due to the tone being too thin. Also even with a hot rail in it it still isnt the same as a mahogany body with Duncan's. It just lacks POWER. But for clean I just prefer the thinner tone because it appeals to me.. This dean(without the Floyd) is great. I just don't trust licensed Floyd's hence I have a schecter hellraiser with an orignal Floyd :P

    they must have actually had a good run then, because most gibsons 2005-2011 were shocking quality, they must have improved, i just like the tone of fender more, and if your looking for another guitar company try chapman, they only do limited runs now and then but they are brilliant. either korea or uk made.
