new to blender.. about a month now, its a lot to take in but I realized creating your own projects helps out a lot vs trying to learn through tutorials all the time.Thank for the tips
Thank you so much for your tutorial !! turned out its really simple, and i shouldnt be afraid of it)) you are a great teacher! wish you and your channel all the bests!
it does work but for a move, not really since the first frame is black, it make the lighting white does this work likr it changes the color of the light with each frame?
Thank you very much for the tutorial, but when I try to render, some frames have a "pink" color, some random frames make the video turn pink.... does anyone know how to solve it?
Very helpful video. But my video is only playing in the Material Preview Mode. The moment I switch to the Render Preview like you are using at 3:06 my video freezes while the marker on the timeline still runs. When I stop the video and jump to another frame in the video the frame updates. But when I hit play again the frame stays the same. Did anyone have a similar problem and found a solution?
Hey! Thanks so much for the tutorial, clear and straitght to the point! Every time I save my file (almost every minute by fear of losing something if blender crashes) my image as plane turns pink. It keeps losing the source file to my image/mov file I imported and I keep going to the shader to open it and find it back in my files. Any idea why or how to solve it?
You could've just duplicated the plane behind the image, made it a little bigger, inset just a bit, inverted selection and extruded outwards for the frame. That way it's much faster and more accurate.
Emission is the type of shader (default built into Blender), in evee it has a glow called "bloom", but in cycles to add this glow-effect, you have to add the compositor nodes. Normally all emissive objects have brightness, but no outer-glow effect.
Very cool, thank you. I'm finding increasing the strength actually shifts the colours of the image towards white. Do you know a way to make the actual colours of the image have a stronger 'shine'? So if the image is blue, simply more blue light? EDIT: it seems it does emit more light in the colours of the image. But at the same time, the image becomes whiter. Strange. If I find a solution I'll post it here. Input welcome.
If you have a display image that's simple enough, you can make an area light in front of it. This way it will look like the display is emitting more light, without touching the colours of the actual image.
You may be able to combat this by adding a contrast node and increasing the contrast. Not every image will be perfect! You could also try to use post-processing techniques to help fix those issues (Photoshop or Lightroom)
Try a few other images to see if they produce the same bland results. You might be starting with a low res image. OR, maybe try adjusting the color balance of the image in Photoshop first before you bring it into Blender.
Easy to understand. Good quality. Non invasive camera. Straight to the point. 10/10
Thank you for the rating!

Thanks so much!
nice man! loaded an image in onto my default tv, added the nodes and light emits. Looks really good thank you!
Happy to hear that!
Spot on. Very much appreciate the 4K UA-cam.
I love it! This is so simple and easy to understand. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
No problem!
yo thanks man, what a lifesaver. doin my finals rn, vid helps so much
this was amazing my dude
god save this man's bitrate
Thank you for the information. From a Thai person
Thx for keeping it simple and to the point!
Of course! So glad you found this useful!
Indeed. Tutorials like this are rare
really good, could use this for a school project! thank you
Awesome!
can u tell us same for transparent image bcz i see black color on empty areas...how can it be fixed
Are you using Evee or Cycles? I can help you if you message me on Instagram!
Was making a smart watch, and wanted this exact effect for the screen. Thank you for your help!
I'm so glad this helped!
Straight to the point. This helps a lot. Thanks 👍🏻
No problem!
very helpful and to the point! thank you
Thank you for this!
How to make the imported videos High Definition? Thanks!
Blender should be able to handle any video you use, it all depends on the videos current resolution!
Thanks for the tip. Especially for the duplicate idea of putting a refelction plane behind the original one... ;)
Of course! So glad you enjoyed!
it does work but for a move, not really
since the first frame is black, it make the lighting white
does this work likr it changes the color of the light with each frame?
Depending on the context of the video or the image, light will be portrayed differently/accurately based on the image you choose!
Thank you so much, so clean
No problem!
Great, now how do you loop Image texture Mp4 video in blender?
so that it keeps playing and doesn't stop
I believe there is a loop or "cyclical" option within the node!
Thank you very much for the tutorial, but when I try to render, some frames have a "pink" color, some random frames make the video turn pink.... does anyone know how to solve it?
The pink color means that you don't have your image properly linked. You either moved the image or selected the wrong image path!
so much thanks bro !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very helpful video.

Please message me on Instagram so I can try to help you more Fabian! Please send screenshots too!
same problem happened to me, I forgot to check the auto-refresh box under the image settings
@@crunch.dot.73 Thanks bro!
Fantastic!
Thank you!
Thank you! You save me!
THANK YOU
can you add a video file to play from it?
Yes this also works with video files!

Your image turning pink is a result of Blender not being able to locate the image.
I just want to learn this. Thank you

That's a great idea too!
Tks Mate! super useful
thank you
very fast and simple
Nice trick. Thanks alot.
very helpful
thanks!!!!! very helpful!!!
Many Thanks, Brother, very awesome!! 🔥🔥🔥
Hello i dont find the emisson node
Make sure you are in the most recent version of blender! And make sure to search for emission within the shader editor, not compositor!
How do you get the video to play?
You have to press play on the timeline! Also make sure your start and end frames are setup in your shader editor!
thanks bro
Bro how the emmision is working without compositing ????
Emission is the type of shader (default built into Blender), in evee it has a glow called "bloom", but in cycles to add this glow-effect, you have to add the compositor nodes. Normally all emissive objects have brightness, but no outer-glow effect.
did u know how to adjust start time the video ?
adjusting the time remaping
It's in the node-editor on your image/video node! You should have start and end frames!@@elsayulviana2056
Dear! video quality in plane is not as good as original video?
Send me a screenshot on Instagram so I can see the result please, I will be able to help you further there!
@@KennyPhases Thanks a lot dear.it was HDRi light problem.fixed now.Thanks
Tks! Help me too much! From Brazil!
what was the point of putting the plane behind the screen?
best tutorial so so so useful and simple thanks!
Thanks!!!

@@k0walsk Amazing! I will definitely try this!
❤so helpful.
thank you thank you
Thanks very helpful
Does this work on cycles at all?
This should work on both cycles on Evee!
Can you show us how to bake light texture and export it as glb please?
I will look into this process and get back to you! Message me on Instagram so we can continue this conversation!
thank you!!!
What about eevee?
Should also work in Evee! You may need to enable Bloom!
@@KennyPhases its not light enough, no metter how bright it is 🫠 gg for eevee
@@Everyone_Benefits You could try adjusting that in post-compositing!
doesnt work if its a png
How did you keep the original image while you're using same shader?
Duplicate the shader!
Thx, you save me bro
awesome video thank u!!! might sub soon
hi! How do you render the TV screen? I tried to render mine, but the video won't play at all :( Any tips about that? Thank youu
Check your node settings! You'll need to choose a start and end frame! Also make sure you're in Material-Preview Mode to view, or rendered view!
Message me on instagram if you're still stuck!
by increasing the emission above 1, the image looks dull due to the increased brightness.
You may be able to combat this by adding a contrast node and increasing the contrast. Not every image will be perfect! You could also try to use post-processing techniques to help fix those issues (Photoshop or Lightroom)
Thankyouuuu
When I increase the strength, the color goes bland, any ideas?
Try a few other images to see if they produce the same bland results. You might be starting with a low res image.
OR, maybe try adjusting the color balance of the image in Photoshop first before you bring it into Blender.
I do everything same as you and it doesn't emite any light, just whole world is plain black and the image just exists without anything
Are you in Rendered Mode?
@ yeah, I have even rendered the image completely
спасибо огромное!!!
somehow the image does not emit any light its just dark around the image
Make sure you are using cycles as the render engine, as he does at the start of the video
THANK YOU BRUH,a lot
