An other thing to use instead of rufus et. al. is Ventoy. Then you just have to Drop the ISO in to the USB drive. (Probobly in GPT mode instead of MBR mode for better UEFI support).
I will give it a try today installing in my SD card, I am sick of Windows. I feel like I am not keep as my main system because still there no gyro support and I like gyro aiming

I believe that this will work fine for the Air as well because they have the same buttons. I would give it a try. You can install it to an external drive to test it out first and if it works, then you can install to the main drive. The installation is very quick

Thanks for the sub!. This video that you just watched showed the removal and replacement of Windows with ChimeraOS. When you install a new OS it overwrites the old one unless you are setting it up as a dual boot.
This may be a silly question (new to PC gaming). It's regarding EmuDeck. If I decide to Dual Boot to both ChimeraOS and Windows, would that mean I have to download EmuDeck twice for both Chimera and Windows?
Installation to an SD card is pretty straight forward. When you choose to install ChimeraOS it asks what drive location you want to install it to. So, it sounds like the real question is why you are not able to boot from the SD card after installation. To be honest, I have not attempted to install ChimeraOS to an SD Card. I am using ChimeraOS as the main OS on my Ayaneo right now (installed directly to the SSD). But, if you are having issues I would post this question in the r/chimeraOS subredit which is where I go to get most of my questions answered and help when I need it.
When I am in Desktop mode I am usually docked with a physical mouse and keyboard attached, using it like a normal PC. So, I didn't really notice this. I'm tempted to see if Controller Companion will fix this issue. It is an app that allows you to use the joysticks and buttons like a mouse. I know it works in Windows. I will test and see if it works in Linux as well.
Man I had to factory reset my ayaneo 2 and now the keyboard won’t come up the day aya space is gone I don’t think this is real windows on it any one had these problem?

I extracted power control into the decky plugin folder and I can see it there, but when I boot back into Steam mode, there is no plugin to be found. What am I doing wrong?
Is the Witcher 3 working well for you on Chimera? I got huge performance drop of 20-25 fps from windows to Chimera on this one. (Could be because im using the Air Plus which isn't supported yet, but I don't think thats the reason)
I'll test out for you. Also, did you adjust the TDP in ChimeraOS because without the TDP adjustment you are limited to 15w max. That may explain your FPS loss

I would have to do some side by side tests. Performance wise, games perform well in both thanks to the power of the 6800U. But I would assume that performance will be slightly better running on Chimera because it only installs what you need to game. Whereas Windows is much more bloated which means more RAM usage. You can also debloat Windows for more efficiency. Also, some games may perform better in Windows. So, it just depends on the game.
Depending on the game and the TDP settings, anywhere from 1.5 hours to 2 hours. The fan is noticeable under heavy load. But not extremely loud. It depends on the game and the load.
The biggest difference is that in regular Big Picture Mode you do not have FSR built-in, Thermal TDP controls, or the Performance Overlays. The UI is basically the same, but ChimeraOS is tailored to work on specific devices.
Unfortunately, not on the same drive. It would have to be a dual boot on a separate drive such as an SD card, thumb drive, or external SSD. HoloISO can be dual booted on the same drive from my understanding. I will be checking that one out also.
It wasn't in Chinese when I installed it on my Ayaneo. So, i'm not sure what you are referring to. Unless, you mean the github page? That was in Chinese and to translate it to English in Google Chrome I simply right-clicked on the page and selected translate to English.

Its steam language fault. When You change language to english in whole steam it will show in english. Dont know why but power control Checking language in registry.vdf
I don't see the benefits of this, you lose compatibility with a lot of games, Gamepass and multiplayer games. I think Ayaspace is good enough offering a console like experience, and performance on Windows are about the same
First, it depends on the games you like to play. In all honesty, the only game I was playing outside of Steam was COD and I stopped playing it. Gamepass doesn't have any games I like to play, etc. But, I do see your point, which is why I mentioned at the end that I may work on a dual boot solution to be able to play any game on either OS.

Should work just the same for your Air Plus because it has the same button configuration. It's just a smaller version of the Ayaneo 2 basically

Yes. Unless you have it installed on a file system that can be shared by Linux and Windows. But I think it would be a pain to implement

So, after installing the plugin you will need to do a reboot. After the fresh reboot it should show up in the decky plug-ins list

Whoa! That's a huge drop. I'm playing around with it now and getting 50-60 at 22w, low settings, FSR quality, no RT.

Yes. ChimeraOS is based on the same Arch Linux as SteamOS. So, it requires the same proton compatibility layer as SteamOS.

Hmmm.... Did you install the same version that was shown in the video? I have never seen that. Double check that you installed version 2.0
