So, it was confirmed by CRWBY that the civilians sadly all died, as they didnt have an activated aura to protect them from Cinder's explosion. so they all died when the explosion happened

Ruby has enough trauma to equal Luz’s so I had no choice but to make the painful reference.

Rwby volume 9 right now is looking good (I'm just glad and might have teared up a little to see this series back after all the drama that occured) I really don't mind the collab since its something new. As for the episode it really feels like an isekai (please don't hack on me) but in the end it feels like rwby so its still cool
Weiss never lost her Raiper. She fell with on her belt.
Love the cohost setup, it gives you someone right there to bounce ideas off of on what is even going, a thing I see coming up very often this volume.
My predictions for this volume: pain, confusion and mental breakdowns leading to growth. We are in for a wild ride.

I don't think Weiss was hiding it, I think she just didn't wanna relive/recount those painful memories more than once. Also, I think the Jabberwalker said "Stalking" not "Stopping".

Hm, a pretty good Start of this Volume, in my opinion, i hope Volume 9 does well, it will be interesting to see how it all turns out.

Wow... Two years... It has been awhile. As short as the chapter is, I am grateful for it. Between the intro and the previews, there are a lot of theories to go with in the series, so there no reason for my brain to overload too much.
Anyways, time to get back into it...

-Chapter 1: A Place of Particular Concern

The mystery of a new land, far beyond anything of Remnant. It's crazy enough finding pocket dimensions within the Relic places, but now a deeper level exists to those lost. It does make you realize that the team, Jaune and Neo weren't the only people that were thrown off into the void. Remember, Cinder's initial ambush threw a lot of people off as. It is unlikely that it will be addressed, but it’s just a thought to keep in mind.
It appears the place is strongly influenced by emotions. Ruby's confusion kept her from continuing on, and her sadness seemed to cause rain to fall. Something of note is that those things seemed to happen only around Ruby (although Ruby was the focal point so we have yet to see if the environment shows the other's emotions as well, as well this is just the first chapter).
-Name and purpose
Ruby's conversation with Little will definitely will bring her to the crossroads. Up until this time, her role was clearly defined (more or less) and a Huntress and the hero, a role that everyone around her can attest to. In Volume 2, Oobleck had questioned the motives of Weiss, Blake and Yang, but not Ruby. Later on, the three agreed that while they had their own individual issue, Ruby didn't seem to have one. She had always wanted to be like the heroes in the fairy-tales and lived accordingly. As far as they were concerned, Ruby's pure purpose made her a 'simple, honest soul'.
Perhaps they _should_ have been concerned...
Now in a world that really is a fairy-tale, her worldview will be challenged, more so given her previous actions. This also reminds me of an episode of _Babylon 5,_ when the inquisitor interrogated Delenn, asking her the question of 'Who are you?', telling her that names and titles are merely descriptors of who a person is.
-Breakdown
Hearing about the death of Penny was the straw that broke the camel's back for Ruby, once again showcasing how strong her friendship with Penny really was. And it wasn't the first time. In Volume 3, after Penny's death, when the Grimm attacked and people fled, Ruby was unresponsive, utterly in shock for a long while before returning to the fray, which is another point to factor in.
A pattern for her (a one of the things that makes her a hero) is that when she hears or experiences distressing news or events, she is quick to look for a way to fix it or try to help in one way or enough, looking for a purpose to soften the pain and cope with it. But after the events of the previous volume, particularly at the end, the pressure finally caught up to her.
-Intro
So much was put in the intro, enough to feed the theory mill for a month. Much to guess and speculate with. But in simple points,
-The team must traverse into a strange new world with new creatures
-Ruby is going through an internal crisis
-Neo is/or will be in charge of this place,
-Jaune's fate is unsure, but it may be indicated that he may be the man in the armored helmet
-Two new characters has joined the team (Little and a girl, possibly part of the story of the Girl who fell)
Something that may be a case is the passage of time. Did everyone who fell not only at arrive at a different place, but also a didn't point of time?

Just a thing for future videos (I know I'm late) the audio balancing was a little off, you guys were much much louder than the show, particularly when you shouted.
Otherwise I really enjoyed the reaction! You have good attention to detail, not many people pick up on Ruby slowly falling behind everyone in the loading screens :)

First off, good to see you again, Amber, and excited that you have someone reacting with you. And second, that girl with Team RWBY--I'm hoping it's wishful thinking --but I think that's Neo in disguise. Although, the color-scheme of her outfit reminds me of that assistant with Penny in Volume 3. What was her name, Ciel? (I hope I got the name right.)
It's Ciel. But the new girl is not Neo. Calxiyn is very adamant about that in one of her tweets.

The civilians aren't going to be addressed. I think they either forgot or just ignored them. Maybe they can say the civilians all landed on a different or lower part of the central location platforms
