@Meleeace1478 Sliver decks are pretty cool by the fact that they are pretty flexible in the way you build them, but the deck that we covered was someone's build, not necessarily may be the most efficient or best build. I will say I have played this deck and lost to it, so for what it does it does that well. But card draw and counters would definitely give the deck more stability. Thanks for the suggestions.
Another alternative to the sliver queen + mana echoes win is the sliver queen + training grounds + basal sliver combo. Steely resolve functions as an alternative to crystalline sliver in a pinch. For those without the expensive land base (I know I'm sure lacking) cultivate, and kodama's reach are good for ramping and fixing, and prismatic omen allows all land to be any color. Also, I don't know if I'd run Eldrazi monument now that Sliver Hivelord is out. I love this video, it greatly helped with my deck!
Sliver Overlord finds the other two, but not the other way round. Also, it is cheaper money-wise if that matters. Run out of gas problem can be fixed by running actual card draw. Mind Spring/Braingeyser/Night's Whisper/Concentrate/etc. Sliver Overlord also gets gas by himself, and is a good combo with Ameboid Changeling. Counters also help to fight wraths.
First time I learned about Commander and decided I wanted to build my own deck, I knew I wanted a tribal. First choice I made when I decided tribal, was Slivers. Slivers are awesome andtribal themed decks are very fun to play for Commander I prefer Sliver Overlord as my General, with Sliver Legion and Sliver Queen inside the deck. Originally I had tons of Slivers in the deck, 7 improvements (versions of the deck) later, I am on 35 lands, 20 slivers, and 45 utility cards. stuff like belbe's portal, urza's incubator and such. Also, I replaced some of theold slivers with the new ones due to mana cost.
Looks like not a lot of people have commented here recently. Just wanted to say that virulent sliver does not belong in any sliver deck. When you win, you will be attacking with slivers that have more than 4 power, so the poison counters will be redundant. also the couple cards that give slivers shroud make clot sliver, crypt sliver, and magma sliver unable to function. crypt and clot slivers make shroud redundant. also if your slivers are unblockable, fungus sliver won't do much.
That mana base is really expensive. If anyone wants a 5-color edh deck on a budget I would suggest the Lorwyn Vivid lands, Alara 3-color lands, RtR guildgates, 2 of each basic land, Command Tower, Shimmering Grotto, Terramorphic Expanse and Evolving Wilds. That's 34 lands and makes for a good base. Guildgates can be upgraded to shock lands. I'd also recommend the 10 Signets from old Ravnica along with Darksteel Ingot and Chromatic Lantern for further fixing/ramp. It's cheap and works well.
@TopAndGoProductions Another "Counter" to Wrath effects is Darkheart Sliver, so insted of just loseing the slivers, you gain 3 life per sliver, that should give you enough life to take a few hits while rebuilding the army :)
that problem can be solved by adding cryptic gateway and dragon arch to the deck and harmonic sliver can get rid of blood moon. Its ruination and an empty hand that would cause some problems here imo.
I know this was posted a while ago, but at about 2:37-2:44 when you say Sliver Overlord, you meant Sliver Legion. Seems to be one of those little things people always reverse.
I have to ask, i play slivers, with overlord as my general, i also have legion in the deck, but can someone explain why id play queen or legion as a general?
Because if ANYONE ELSE gains control of it they can repeatedly pay 3 to gain control of EVERYTHING that is a creature in your deck wich is quite annoying
Alien Platypus that's why you use the shroud slivers and bounce slivers. And in certain cases sac effects. Bounce your commander to your hand or sac it and replace the effect with putting it into the command zone.
why would you choose Legion over Overlord for a general? You win by Getting Overlord, Queen, and Mana Echoes out. This allows you to draw and put in play every slivir in your deck and have them be infinitiy infinity's with EVERYTHING lol.
www.mtgvault.com/even16/decks/sliver-overlord-2/ This is my sliver deck for edh. It's much fun. You can either beat them down, semi control, or my favorite tutor up for heartstone and ashnods altar/mana echoes with sliver queen to make infinite letting you either have blur sliver to swing in for millions or make tokens and use necrotic sliver to blow up their entire board. Much fun.

this needs a 2014 update with sliver hivelord and overlord should be commander
Chameleon Colossus is a pretty good sliver. I also like Order/Chaos in any deck that can run it, especially the can't block part. Good vid as always.
When sliver queen was 30 and sliver legion was 15!

@TopAndGoProductions Yes, this version is the best against a slow start. Many decks if they stumble on mana just would not be able to recover.

THANK YOU, a proper Deck Tech and not just some random person showing us the cards in his/her deck and saying "uhhh {cardName} - this is good".
I really like to use Call to the kindred from Dark ascension. Free sliver that pops out every turn ? Seems good to me !
Ever play at a table with more than one sliver player? It gets scarry very very fast!
Fun deck to play with.
I want to see gameplay of this. PLEASE

@netulv oh yah, gaining life after a wrath is never a bad thing.
crystaline sliver
OH YEAH!
love this deck !

Bloodmoon owns you. so few basics and you miss out big if a Collective Voyage resolves.
can you guys do a jarad golgari lich lord tech?
I have to ask, i play slivers, with overlord as my general, i also have legion in the deck, but can someone explain why id play queen or legion as a general?
I have a build for a Zombie EDH deck and it's pretty mean...
haaaa back when they wer'nt 50$ but 12$ and 30$
Why not use sliver overlord instead, you could tutor any slivers.... and thats just broken
Because if ANYONE ELSE gains control of it they can repeatedly pay 3 to gain control of EVERYTHING that is a creature in your deck wich is quite annoying

Why are you worried about the extra cost ($) of Sliver Queen, when you are playing $50 fetch lands?
yeah, and by now sliver legion price is about 35-40 us$, luckily I bough it when it was cheap.
at the time of the video fetch lands were probably cheap
Wrath of god.

The video is 2.5 years old.
Thomas McCaulla OOww ¡¡ so thats the reason.
marine4Legion Yeah. I was watching and wondering where the M14 stuff was and why in the world they had fetch lands. Then I noticed the date.
Thomas McCaulla Happy 4h july God bless america, and this awesome Trading Card Game too.
marine4Legion Hey man i have a sliver legion foil japanese do you know how much that goes for by any chance thanks!
Sliver Overlord is the only good sliver general
