- Two rounds of thunderstorms produced significant rainfall across portions of northern Illinois on Monday August 9th. The afternoon and evening thunderstorms were supercells that produced numerous tornadoes, some of which caused noteworthy tree and structural damage in portions of Ogle, DeKalb, and Kane Counties.
But in all seriousness, this gentlemen does a fantastic job explaining weather events in such an intelligent and direct way. Nice to see such a veteran mind at work.

I live in Chicago and the rain was so heavy the raindrops hurt when they hit you.
Yes! I was outside for a bit and it felt like bullets. The ironic fact is that a tornado landed in Wheaton IL, exactly a year ago from August 10th.

This would be a great spoof parody between the old wise weather man and young black grad student - Airplane - Naked Gun - Will Ferrell style! You knows more leading into the personal assaults and ratings history.
I bet the WGN Morning News will see this and do a skit in the future!
