@Beth black that's fair. I understand that, but not all Italians have that ancestry. Perhaps more mixed then. It was just that North America got a very specific subset of Sicilian Italians and I get frustrated that we think that must be how all Italians look then. Like if Ariana Grande didn't get all her fake spray tans, she would be very pale (in older vids you see this) Also, there is that super famous Italian fashion blogger Chiara Ferragni.. I think it would be an extremely hard argument to make that she's not white and she's mixed or a poc.

Joanne is my favorite Lady Gaga album but The Fame era will always be magical. Artists today are still trying to emulate how cool and inspired Gaga was at this time.

It's crazy how her vision came true. She had that image in her head of what she wanted and she got exactly what she wanted which is truly such an amazing, brilliant thing to me! I have been a fan since The Fame days back in 2008 and I'm STILL a big fan even to this day. She's had me under a chokehold for so long now and no other artists has managed to keep my interest for THAT long. I may be a bit older now but the love that I have for her still hasn't changed. I haven't "moved on" to a different artist and I don't really intend to. I believe that I'll be a Little Monster for life. It's already in my bloodstream, it's permanently in my DNA.
Her focus here is so admirable and inspiring. She is a true artist.

I love her, but seriously what's up with the "I am Italian" thing? It's obnoxious af. Girl doesn't even speak Italian (and hasn't even attempted to learn it). Gaga is as American as you can get, just because she eats spaghetti in her music videos or flashes the Italian flag doesn't make her Italian. It's nice to acknowledge your ROOTS, but genes alone do not equal nationality. I feel like "being Italian" was just another gimmick she was / is using to make herself appear 'different' and 'unique'. Jennifer Lopez is how you do it right. Want to pay tribute to your ancestors? Learn the language, record a song in that language. Go live in that country for a while.
