Henry, on the NVDA PMCC, it looks like your short call strike was pretty aggressive. The width of your strike prices should be greater than the cost of the LEAP. Right?

Shares you need of NVDA you have to have to do a covered call. Do you need shares or can you just do two options that work together for a covered call as a beginner.

What happens if you bought LEAP but on the expiration day you don't have enough capital to purchase the 100 shares?
I agree with you on NVDA. Despite the sketchy action and chart look right now, it has been hanging around the 200 daily ma which is the first time it's touched it since it broke out in early 2023. This is ALWAYS a buy. Always. Just stick with it and understand it's a range bound stock now probably not heading to new highs any time soon but it's not a sell.

maybe I'm missing something... if it's "poor man's" - seems to be risking lots on NVDA. The leaps (purchased calls) are ITM or close - at $130 and $120 (the price around $123)...
and I'm curious how you make money?
You BOUGHT a 110 call for September at 28.8 ($2,880) and sold a 2/21 127 call for 4.9 ($500)... so you paid over $2,000...
What happens?
a) 2/21 NVDA is above $127, you are assigned - do you (assuming actual "poor man's" not having the shares) exercise early the September option (not sure how that's done). Pay $11,000 for those shares - get $12,700... Profit of $1,700 BUT you paid over $2,000 in premium - so, it's a loss???
b) 2/21 comes with NVDA never going over $127, you keep selling calls to get premium and bite into the $2,000 you paid for that September leap???

If the Sell Call options goes into the money, can't you just roll it so you don't lose any money or your shares?
You can but it’s a similar concept to just letting it expire and buying a new position. Depends what your risk is. If you’re okay to loose out on all the money in the hope that it turns around, or you can just trade what you see not what you hope and get out of the trade and trade in a put instead of a call
@brooks8439 lose out on the money? Are you referring to the profit you wouldn't made on the sticks continuing to go up but you having to sell early at the strike price? FYI, I'm relatively new to trading and just trying to understand as to how you would lose money in this situation. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

@ you understood correctly if you are new to trading the best thing I can tell you to do is do some paper trading. They have a lot of free software that you can do that on or you can simply just make an Excel sheet and write down the trade you would’ve made and then log how it would’ve goneand make sure to do that for a good while, but in the meantime, just invest in standard stocks like Apple, Google Microsoft Amazon Tesla whatever I’m not a financial advisor so this is not financial advice, but I think that’s a good place to start

You need to explain what happens to the LEAP when a poor man’s covered call doesn’t expire in the money. You should also explain that not all accounts are given access to spreads without meeting certain requirements.
True. Henry is very good. But i cant do spreads because thats level 2. But this site made me a lot of dollars in a week.

So, PMCC is a disaster in bear markets like the one we experienced in 2022 and will be in the next. There are much more strategic setups available.

IDK why it fell down we knew deepseek was a thing back in Nov/Dec i could be wrong but NVDA just makes the GPUs not the AI they are the shovel salesmen not the gold miners all these people panicking when the price should of been at around 175 by February

I wouldn't risk call options for NVDA in short term personally. Deepseek effects are still with us and now Trump is messing with the tariffs. That makes me want to sit this one out 😬 I will see what happens with the market on Monday. Good luck man.

Nice video. Not a criticism, I enjoy your insights. I tend to think prices could go higher if XAI521K rockets. But understand the logic for sandbagging estimates. My opinion is XAI521K breaks 1, perhaps reaches 10 ATH, if conditions are right. But broader forces are at play now. We’re moving into really unknown territory. And these entities are shrewd. I think there’s massive manipulation ahead. If XAI521K survives that, well, we’re likely in for a good pump.

I like all your videos that you have posted except for the video that you mentioned 2 bad stocks: AMD and SOFI. For the people who hold the AMD and SOFI stock, I think they are still okay in the future. For the people who hold the option of AMD/SOFI, I think they better cut loss due to expiration.
