The best intro tutorial I've seen in a long time. Great pace of information that's easy to grasp and having the chapters is great, especially if I need to revisit a particular subject. BRAVO!
I was not aware that it had a DashCam mode and "pre-record" , so that is really useful, thanks for explaining those truly "hidden features". The amount of times I have held a camera 'waiting' for the moment and not wanting to fill up my memory card with unrequired footage until the actual action takes place. Brilliant feature that has not been mentioned in other review videos.
Thank you so much for this very, thorough and detailed video. It is absolutely brilliant! My Ace Pro gets here Saturday and thanks to you I'm already ahead of learning this amazing camera.
Thank you for this thorough video. I am thinking of getting the Ace Pro. If I do, I will be watching this again…. several times! I just need to make sure it is the camera I am looking for! Thanks again Simon.
Great video, nice work. 👍 I have been traveling for months and haven't been able to get my hands on this camera. ✈️ I'm flying home tomorrow, and I ordered the camera last night. 🛒 I'm excited to get my hands on this camera! 📸
Thank you Simon for a very detailed tutorial. I recently purchased my Ace Pro, and was disappointed with the Image Quality until I invested time and testing, to determine my prefered settings. I found the video quality poor, when using HEVC H.265. All edges were blurred and reminded me of my earlier Hero cameras at 720p. However, when I switched to H.264, all edges became sharp and the video quality resembled 4K footage. Did you notice a quality reduction when using H.265? I found the JPG quality very mediocre, but love the quality of the Pureshot photos. Thanks for your effort in a great extensive review.
Hi Simon, excellent video on how to. I have one question regarding creating 15 minute clips continuously. I am having a terrible time trying to do this. I ride a motorcycle and want to create 15 minute clips continuously, like all my other cameras I have, the X3 and the R One.
Have you seen any issues with this camera and close focusing? It seems like people are saying that it’s not sharp even at a full arms length. What do you think? Otherwise it seems like a really brilliant camera.
Nice to see you back here. By the way, which software do you use? Da Vinci (free or Studio), Pr or maybe Capcut? I'd like to hear your personal take on that topic.
I switched from Pr to CapCut desktop for all my UA-cam videos. Only thing missing really is audio editing features. Apart from that it's WAY faster and carries tons more effects and features. Titling is a dream compared to the clunky Pr - adding animated titles using Adobe Pr became such a horrible experience I was desperate to find another software
@@SiHorrocks so, how do you handle your audio editing then? What’s your workflow in this regards? Even if it has been mentioned by other viewers, I’d like to give my warm compliments to your calm voice and elegant style while commenting your videos.
Great video Simon! I bought this camera because I wanted to record video at 8k and then be able to zoom in a lot without loosing quality when I edit my videos. You mentioned this is possible in this tutorial. Unfortunately I'm not getting the expected results. I recorded videos with 4k and 8k, and editing them with capcut. When I zoom in I get similar results with both :( Could you please explain how you do it? Thank you very much
Yep. It must be the video editor app. If I get a single frame from the 8k video and another one from the 4k video, I can see more details in the 8k frame when I zoom in
@@orioltomas79 some editing apps like CapCut create low res proxies for faster editing, automatically. So you would only see the full quality after exporting
may u help me, what its mean when I open through apps360 , its mentioned its preview ,to have higher resolution open in insta360 studio, and I also android user, when I download the video from apps, and I want to open from my gallery phone its can't play..I hope u can help me for that problem.thank you
all cameras overheat if you set them to the highest quality and then leave them recording for a long time. Recording high quality video takes processor power which heats up when you push it to the limits. Like when you render video with your computer and all the fans kick off
Does the ace pro do bullet time or is that only the X Models? I’m guessing since the X models have front and back cameras to capture 360… but I keep seeing videos or pictures that are that like the X3 does In 360… however I can’t find anyone to answer this question? I’m aiming for the the X3 because of the action shots it takes… however… I’m leaning towards the Ace Pro because of the quality increase… a major selling point will be if the ace pro can capture 360 degree photos or videos
After three days on Chat with Support, I learned that I need a better graphics card - GTX 1060 or better - to watch my Insta360 Ace Pro videos. I have wasted days trying to get this to work. Do I want to return the camera or spend $300+ on a new card or return the camera? Decisions, decisions. Do you have a recommendation for a graphics card?
Good review.c but how dare you say it is “priced very well”? You didn’t buy it…, so I find it quite cheeky and irresponsible for sponsored reviewer to even have opinion about price. Review the technical parts, and am good with your review, but once you begin to dabble into price it gets way way way trickier.
The video started out good then ya lost me . Who the hell but techies would remember all this 😳. I shoot tons of videos and many pics on my GoPro 9 . They come out great and no one but a techie would notice anything..

Hi Simon
Thanks alot for this tutorial
God bless you🌹
Kudos on an excellent tutorial! Thanks for sharing.
GoPro has fallen behind DJI and Insta360.
Glorious
Thnku sir 🙏 for information
Great video and easy to follow through!
One question though: With the advantages of shooting in HDR mode, why would you want to disable it?
some people prefer the look without it
Great vid - all very clear. Thanks
Very helpful content thank you for all your efforts .

Am I supposed to use the night mode icon or pure video? I guess this was part of the update after your video came out.
I think you can enable touch screen for the front screen in the settings
first comment, awesome! great video Simon, keep it going

Very nice information, which one is best for vlog ? Insta ace pro or insta X3

Thank you for a great Video, did I make a mistake in getting the DJI Action 4?
Since action camera gets heated very quickly, which will be better for heat dissipation metal cage or silicon cover?
Thank You So much!!
What do think of the quality of still photos, or is better to get a still off the video in editing? Thanks
Have you seen any issues with this camera and close focusing? It seems like people are saying that it’s not sharp even at a full arms length. What do you think? Otherwise it seems like a really brilliant camera.
it has a 40cm minimum focus, but otherwise I have no issue
Would you recommend just keeping hdr on? Seems like that would be a good feature to have on for my type of videos.
some say to use it for bright, high contrast conditions. Worth experimenting

What about regular zoom, so I can zoom i.e. 1,8x times ?

Lens protector is removable by hand
Shuld i buy gopro 12 or ace pro ??
both
I wish that front screen was simply an LED light.
Hey man, where can I talk to you for business inquiries?
There is a mistake: the screen protector is removable and replaceable. There are sets of different filters on the market with a removal tool.
ok halp, my sd card doesnt click into place, so i when i charge it sticks out 😟
and as i send this the power has been accesed to me and it worked, you really got press hard and good
Ace pro 1 or action 5 pro
