I love it. Like a cross between Dio and Bruce Dickenson. Can anyone tell me what the best songs on the early albums with Kenny are?
The first album is a entire masterpiece, in my opinion the best songs on the first album are: "There for You", "Never Let Go", "Keep On Dreaming", "Follow Me" , "Follow Me", "Cry", "Feel It Again", "Feel the Heat" and " 1000 Miles". On the second album the best songs are: "We're Gonna Make It to the End", " Black Night", "I Can't Look the Other Way" , "Beg Beg Beg", "Danger Road" , "Everybody Wants to Be Someone" , "Nobody Loves You (Like I Do)" and " Who Will Stop The Rain"

Great version, but when I hear Erik's version, the impression is that Erik sings in a much more natural way than Kenny, in addition to his vibrato that reminds Dickinson in some parts of the song, taking the music in another direction and consequently the sound of the band too...

A treat for you all. Back when Jesus was walking in sandals Deep Purple did their first and so far only clinic at a high school. It was Kennys school and you can see him not only appearing but also sharing the stage and sing with Deep purple. It was around this time the band that would evolve into H.E.A.T got created, so please enjoy a about 17yo Kenny :)

No disrepsect intended to any former comments but!... I had no interest in H.E.A.T Until I seen Erik and the lads play less than a couple of years ago in Scotland, they blew me away, they were absolutely phenomenal live. This old, new guy, Kenny (and I've checked him out on youtube extensively) has BIG shoes to fill since Erik found a way to make the bystander, looking on, a fan of the band, with his stage presence, distinctive voice and perfect pitch. Kenny for me, unfortunately (while not a bad vocalist but not a distinctive vocalist) is on par with thousands of other rock vocalists, his voice is easily forgotten and it's the same old tone and vocal delivery of a million average bands who never made the grade or verged on greatness but never got the call. If I don't hear Erik sing again for 10 years then hear his voice on the radio in 2031 .... I'll instantly know it's him ... and that distinction is the glaring difference. I wish the band and Kenny well for the future, I know many folks seem to be happy for his return.

Hmm, I am torn. Kenny sounds in no way bad or anything, but there was just something in Erik's voice, that I will forever miss now. Especially the last album was, in my opinion, so powerful, i found it to be one of the best albums I heard from H.E.A.T. til that time. Recording, Mix, Sound, Instruments, Songs, Musicians... "H.E.A.T. II" was perfection for me. Kenny sure has a powerful voice, but I am so used to Erik's voice by now, I am not sure i can simply see the songs the same again with Kenny.
Kenny has a more powerful voice, that is true. But in some parts, considering the songs how I know them, i find it too poweful in some ways. If Kenny would have come onboard before the last album, i would probably still liked the last album a lot. But his voice is a change that I am, right now or rather for the moment,
I mean, Eric`s Voice is a little more "dirty". Kennys`voice a bit more melodic! But I love both!
