  • What are you guys doing to keep yourself busy during this quarantine?
Coping with the Covid-19 quarantine by hiding out in Big Sur and getting some painting done on my table top easel. It was especially nice to get some sunshine and paint a surf study with the sound of waves crashing down below. The painting is inspired by Japanese indigo and ink paintings.

How long did this take you to finish? Also how can you see your color choices with your shades on?

I spent about a half hour on this little guy and only used one color so it didn't matter that I had my shades on. I was focused more on shape and form rather than color ifor this piece!

With sunglasses? don't they mislead to shades and actual colors? and gloves? If I do something my personal preference is to get my hand dirty :) Don't get my wrong, I like your paintings, they are beautiful, just found these mentioned thing a little bit odd.

I used only one shade of color so it was not important in this situation. I don't recommend painting with sunglasses if doing something referencing real life. I kinda just went abstract and went with the flow!
