Jack, you are the epitome of what modern punk should be. Inclusive, friendly, knowledgeable but fun. Long may your vids & new subs continue. Thanks bro
First video was the street punk video I think. Appeared in my recommended after a binge of UK Chaos and Exploited one afternoon. Congrats on the success of the channel! Livestreams of your tours could be fun. Cheers!
New to the channel but damn dude you’re presentation skills and scripts are concise, direct, and friendly. Feels like I’m talking to a pal. I can’t wait to see how your channel will grow and seeing your editing skills improve!
The first video I saw was the history of RKL. Insanely informative and I've been hooked ever since. I can't wait to see what the future holds for the channel and I hope Zest can make it out to Maine at some point!
As a 43 year old hip hop fan that knew almost nothing about punk music, I absolutely love these videos. I’ve been a skateboarder since the 80s, so punk was always a thing that was around and I appreciated, but I was never truly educated on (beyond Bad Brains and Minor Threat.) Thank you!!!
Jack I just found you last week when the Suicidal came across recommended while scrolling. I really enjoy your videos and it's great to see someone so enthusiastic about the music I grew up with and love so dearly. You're rad brother! As TBR would say "Stay Rad"!!!
I found this channel yesterday and I’ve already watched through every single video. This is a great channel that explains and answers a lot of questions I’ve had about punk in a fun and easy way (a lot more fun than most other channels) and I already consider this one of my favorite channels on the platform :)
Just found your channel yesterday, I've already watched half the videos you've uploaded and, guess what, subscribed. Congrats on the 10k. I really like the sub-genre/movements videos and would love to see one on Riot Grrl as I've been noticing a resurgence of punk bands headed by women, curious to see the evolution of it from its origins to today.
Hey, Jack. Newish viewer here from Argentina. Discovered your channel last week because of... algorithm i guess. 🤣 Already went through your back catalog. Love all of it. Love how the script balances info with personal taste. And finally. You seen like a really cool dude that i would totally be friends with. Congrats on milestone. And see you next week. 🤘🏼
Cheers and congratulations, Jack! I'd love to see these things in future videos: -Psychobilly -Ska -Depictions of punk rock in movies (and how it changed over time) Good luck on your upcoming summer tour, too!
Love your channel. It kinda popped up in my recommendations (specifically the video about Minor Threat) and I kinda just binged right after that! (Also 13 days after you made this video and you're already almost at 20,000. Keep up the good work man) For the QnA I do have one question: What are some of your favorite pieces of media related to punk history (media as in books, documentaries, things of that sort) and which ones would you highly recommend others to check out?
Know your roots! Thank you for making these, they fill in some gaps for an older punk who stands in the back now. Throwing out a Seattle local band The Accused. More Fun Than An Open Casket Funeral was an album that floated between punk and metal in the 80's. Would love your take on how they fit. Keep up the great work.
o wow i subscribed like yesterday because of the ST video i was just looking at the ST video and yours popped out but really dig the history and how serious you take it keep it up
Congratulations on 10,000 subs! That's bad ass! I found you through a Homie who thought I would be in to your video about OI!. And he was right. Hella dug your info on it and take. It would be dope to hear and see an in Depth video about the history of the Subhumans & Citizens Fish. Even though I grew up in the US Punk Scene in the 80s and a Punk Rock Dad today, the Subhumans was one of my biggest influences musically. Thanks for the rad videos and keep up the great work! RESPECT!
How I found your channel. I was curious and researching what the whole conflict was between punk and metal fans, like I heard a bunch of interviews from bands that talked about how punks and metalheads had like a big rivalry in the past but funny enough I only heard about this from interviews. I still to this day have not found a good video on UA-cam that documents what that rivalry was about or how I really ended when punk and metal started to crossover with each other. But in that search I found your video on the history of crust punk and loved it. So yea I'm probably going to keep watching your videos. Metal is more my world but I do love punk bands and I love doing deep dives on the history's of rock genres and bands so naturally your content just fits my love in every way. That's my story. Keep up the good work.
Been here since launch. Found it on a Facebook page. Your content deeply entertains the punk rock music nerd in me on a primal level. Idk your content is enjoyable. Keep making it...
First of all man, you are amazing at what you do. Keep spreading the knowledge, love your vids! Second thing is - come on, please, make a video about Dead Kennedys - they were one of the most creative bands of the 80s orginal hardcore punk scene, combining punk, rockabilly, surf, psychedelia and even jazz, they had sharp social commentary and satire in their songs and they were fucking hilarious. Something burning with such a creative flame should burn out really quick, so it's no surprise that they only existed till '86. Still, their legacy and talent deserves a video! Come on man, keep up the good work and remember: there's always room for Jello!
Found your channel when I was trying to find the Epix punk documentary series. Episode 1 was on youtube, and the argument with Johnny Rotten and Marky Ramone was everywhere, but not the other episodes. Your channel was recommend, and the video was on RKL. So I had to watch and subscribe immediately!
I found you looking up op ivy vids since Jesse did a reunion with Tim in February I believe. Awesome to find this channel and imagine you'll be 100k in no time!
I'm one that found your channel via the suicidal vid, I wish I could say for sure what put it on my feed but I assume it's because I watch a lot of thrash & metal-related stuff on here. ngl, watching your videos gave me a huge list of new music to check out and I've been diving deep into crust and d-beat especially, so thank you so much for your great videos!
you're like the random dude who you meet at a punk house party and start talking to, and get into a really emotional talk about how punk "has changed your life" and how important punk is, but won't let you leave until he gives you at least 5 local bands to check out. "they're so good."
Hey dude, found your channel through the pop-punk video. You're very likeable and charismatic, but you also seem like one of my punk nerd buddies which makes it really easy to relate to the channel. I'd love to see a grindcore video, or more videos on different regional scenes! Oxnard, South Bay, San Pedro, and the San Fernando Valley all have really interesting bands coming out of them historically, which color the history of LA punk overall. There's also an interesting crossover with Chicano culture and punk that seems specific to LA which would be cool to see examined. Best of luck!
Nice job man, great writing. Also, please consider DFL their connection to Ad Rock is interesting and they are a great band. I'm not sure what subgenre the compose. Proud to Be is my favorite album.

I was just listening to "Better Days" by Strung Out this morning, which is a fuckin masterpiece by the way! You'll be at 100k in no time, dude! Hopefully I can catch one of your shows soon OR if you dudes play any socal shows, my band Träumer can open for you dudes. 🔥🔥🔥
We need another band for our Sacramento show! If y’all are down to make the trip up it’s gonna be at Cafe Colonial (don’t know if you’ve been there. But I’ve heard it’s dope)

I found you last week when you came across my feed. I searched and watch music review and music related channels constantly, so it was only a matter of time.
