- The world's hjghest tides occur in the Bay of Fundy in Atlantic Canada. This time lapse movie speeds up by 720 times the fall and rise of the tide in Hall's Harbour, Nova Scotia.
Had fresh lobster at a nice restaurant here when I was there in '08 ... watched the tides come in as we ate. Thanks for posting
0:36 white boat on the right: dude, relax. It's just water.
They're all trembling in fear. I know, so weird.

Cool time lapse. I was there last summer. Drove out in the morning and took some video, then returned six hours later for the change. Thx for posting.
This video is strangly satisfying.
probably the most interesting thing I've watched in a while ^^
Oh god. Please don't include the sound next time.
On most computers there is a volume control. It should be a button with a speaker on it, also below the video on the screen you can adjust the volume. If you turn the volume DOWN you cannot hear the sound that is on the video. You should learn how to use the volume control, it will enhance your vide watching experience.😉
@@Washadamoak someone had to tell her
love this place very beautiful in new brunswick canada. dad and i walked the bay looking for stuff to find but we hurried back the tide was coming in and when its coming in you walk fast. had a great time.
Halls Harbour is in Nova Scotia.
This is an awesome video!
The little white boat nearest to us...... It just wanted to go.... it was all excited and none of the others would play.
Wow! That’s an awesome clip.
does the decking float and sink down aswell??
it's hinged to the main dock and raises and lowers.
amazing, thanks for the awesome vid!!
cool video:)
I have been binge watching these tide videos....and they never fail to amaze me......I live in Australia and we don't have tides anywhere near close to this...not even our king tides. Is it a northern hemisphere thing?
Wrong. Tides in Northern WA sometimes exceed 10 metres. In Darwin the average tidal difference is around 7 metres.
@@charlesortlipp8927 Well excuse me Charles !!!!!!! Here on the EAST coast is what I meant....my bad. I have seen some vids about WA tides...forgot about them. Thankyou SO much for correcting me !!!!!
@@charlesortlipp8927 Are 'our' tides THIS big?? From what I have seen....nope
It's more of a resonance thing. The shape of the bay causes a resonance effect, sort of like pushing a kid on a swing. Small pushes timed just right can cause very large motions.
@@zevfarkas5120 Oh , cool . Thanks xxx

Hi friend. What a nice video.
Do they have little scubadivers too build those docks up and down ?
My eyes: Woah!
My ears: no
GREAT VIDEO!!!
That 3rd boat to the left is making love with the dock.
Good video.
Were does the water go.
Awesome!
Wow, that is ridiculous...I guess we're spoiled with only about a 6-foot tide.
perfect example of Fundy.
Amazing.
great stuff bro keep it up
I to dzięki temu, że Księżyc jest nad równikiem (Ekwador) i odpycha wodę, aż robi przypływ w Kanadzie północnej o 18 metrów.
That is awesome!
What is the time frame, and how many feet + or - of water?
It’s the Bay of Fundy. WORLDS largest tide. 40 fucking feet.
Welcome to Canada, eh?
Very cool!
Apparently the rise is like 47 feet (14.3256 Meters) in certain areas soooo...
this level of differences between high and low are way above 10' parameter i think,
and if so if its happen at oceanian coral island then many of them would be under water during high tide since many of them which includes the whole island atoll of republic of Kiribati are no more than 10' from sea level.
Nice
I don't get it, why is the tide higher there than in other parts of the world?...Does the sea bulge more there under the moons gravity or what?
IIRC it's a case of geography that funnels the water into the bay.
its due to the shape of the bay that makes the tides the highest in the world here :)
@@Dargonkin527 Thanks..:) Next question- when there's a high tide on one side of the earth, there's also a high tide at exactly the same time on the other side of the earth, how can that be??
@@tungstenkid2271 TBH I never looked into that as I have never been to the other side and so did not have to know why/if that is true. I just learned to deal with them as they applied to me growing up a fisherman's son on the Bay of Fundy :)
Cool vid but I always wonder what is the point in building a harbour that can only be accessed barely half the day.
Fishing (especially lobster) in that area can be quite lucrative, and the entire bay (western Nova Scotia, southeastern New Brunswick and northwestern Maine) all have tides similar to Hall's Harbour so it's unavoidable. The fishermen just have to adjust their schedule to the moon instead of the sun. :)
@@halwakka504 i guess that makes them lunatics...
Dude! i didint know that Hall’s Harbor had a constant noice of paper crunching
is it that hard for people to just hit the mute button?
What is the total time period?
A full year, asshole.
Funny thing is, on a nice day like that, no boats went out when they had the chance ?
Lol'd as the seagulls were looking for food after the water went back
0:36 when you can’t find your phone
So why even have boats in there? If the tide is only there for a little bit you have to bring it back in time or you're screwed.
+Campbell Sadeghy The tide comes in twice a day there and Halls Harbour is a fishing community established in 1779 by a privateer named Captain Samuel Hall and around 1820 became a fishing village. High tide lasts considerably longer that this TIME LAPSE video would suggest. I guess you've never spent any time near the ocean have you.
watch at 100 volume and 2x speed
Amazing tide
looks better when its full
I saw this video at a geography class.
0:36 *insert mr krabs walk*
Free dry dock for slipping. Cost those boat owners nothing. Plus they can do repairs or painting to the hulls.
Hey i was looking for the huge plug that someone must pull out to drain that sucker!
Wow
WOW!!!
Whats the point of even having a boat in there?
You have a 6 hour window 2x a day. It's a reason you can buy oceanfront for 20k per acre
Looks like these boats don't like water too.. They shaking as a NOO! when water touches them
ive been there
The Boats are all having a seizure!
At the end of the video, you gonna hear a dolphin's song...amazing!
Tide leaving and coming in like it has another job somewhere else
listen to the Benny hill theme and watch this
Up down up down😂🤣
That boat is having a seizure
Wonders of nature. The two water bulges on Earth due to Moon's and Sun's gravity forces is real.
isn't it bad for the boats to be sitting on Earth like that?
Nope.
they are built to take that into account...
CGI look at the boat on the doak
rise then fall !
by far the best anti theft device on the planet for boats, when the tide is out mind you, and tis free wah?
Kesini gara gara guru
ummmmmmmmmmmmmm
what u say
rename the vid to boat seizurez
the moon can be a bitch sometimes
awesome audio.......NOT!!!!
lol this was on C palms
Just mute it people
live laugh love
Game grumps anyone? XD
