    That's cool. So basically it's two state-of-the-art amps in one that can preamp, input switch, input mix, analog bass-shelf, analog treble-shelf and analog mid-side EQ. I don't know what makes this thing cost so much money, but its features seem actually useful.

      haha yeah that does happen. But it's okay, stuff should sound good, and also not be broken. So I support the measuring of things as well, and welcome the ASR faithful to check out what we're doing. As I mentioned in a recent live stream, the best way to review - at least in my opinion - is to do both objective and subjective evaluations, because at some point, you HAVE to actually listen to the thing. The reason for this is that even though human fallibility is a real problem, at some level, how it sounds is the most important thing in the end.

    • @ResolveReviews
      @ResolveReviews 2 роки тому +7

      @@susokraut3169 so, I welcome any folks from the ASR forums, but we're approaching all of this stuff with an open mind to real science. That is to say, I lean objective in the sense that if it can be heard, it can be measured. But that means it's worth trying to understand what's going on beyond the dogma on concepts like sinad, or what gets described as 'transparency'. My contention is that either the analysis of existing metrics is incomplete, or there's something we're not capturing. And that's why I approach this stuff from a "let's find out" perspective, rather than to make pronouncements about how things 'are'. Also, ABX may help reveal things here. There are already positive results from that type of testing that indicate we shouldn't be so confident about the existing or typical analysis of this stuff in measurements.

    Did anyone notice that DMS appears to have a spasm in his left foot after listening to this audio tech? We can’t see Resolve’s feet but it makes me wonder if they are using heavy electrons to enhance the sound field. If so, this would be a major ream through for EDM. 🤔

    • @GadZookz
      @GadZookz 2 роки тому +2

      Once absorbed, the Heavy Electrons will gravitate to the lower extremities causing the subject to kick vigorously in an unconscious attempt to throw the electrons out. When observed by others this is often misinterpreted as a verticlated slam-dance which will sometimes even draw small crowds and spark applause.

Most discrete class A designs still use feedback. Not sure why anyone would pick this amp over something like a gsx mini, cfa3 or susy dynahi if they wanted a high end SS HP amp. What makes it better than a Jot2 or Singxer for that matter? Mixing knobs on the inputs seems to be the main selling point?
