      @Sheba Cynn my outlook is that I refuse to entertain the thought that anyone could feel that they are superior to me because of the colour of their skin. When I experience negative behaviours from a person, I just take it that the person is probably just a horrible person and that they do not represent everyone who look like them. I can tell you that I have mostly met and worked with amazing people in the six years that I have lived here and nearly everone in my line of work are natives. Job prospects is quite OK so long as one is not too picky.

    Poland joined the European Union in 2004, making it much easier for people to travel to the UK. Romania joined in 2007. Before those dates you would have found it very hard to find and hear anyone from those regions outside of the largest cities in England (and in Scotland, near impossible). Today as a result I think Polish is Scotland's unofficial second language. The Indian languages added together make up a greater total for the UK but I think Polish is now more widespread across the UK.

    • @free_gold4467
      @free_gold4467 Рік тому

      There were a lot of Polish people in Scotland long before 2004! Many came over during WW2 and there were 'Polish clubs' in many Scottish towns from the 1950's. I don't even believe you're Scottish, more likely an Englishman.

    • @menvicstudio
      @menvicstudio  2 роки тому

      Thank you for watching 🙂 My only contact with Stirling Council is Strathblane area in Stirlinshire. However, Strathblane is a beautiful quiet village and most people there tend to own their own home hence, not a lot of places to rent. I can imagine you might be looking to live in a town for easy access to work. I think you will find that there will be areas that are nice and suitable to your budget. Just type "Scottish index of multiple deprivation" into a search engine and then put in the post code of the area you are looking to settle in. The SIMD index will tell you all you need to know about the area including information on how safe the area is. Good luck and I hope you and the family enjoy living in Scotland.🙂

      I have not been to Angus but from what I can see on the Scottish index of multiple deprivation site, there are a few places in Arbroath with good ratings for crime, Education etc.
      Kirkton seems to have the highest areas with good ratings though it also has a few areas with very low ratings.
      I would suggest going on the (simd.scot) site to see for yourself.
      If you don't have a postcode to use for your search, you can use this Kirkton postcode (DD11 4HL) to bring up the entire Arbroath town.
      The darker the blue, the nicer the area and the darker the red, the rougher the area is.
      In terms of renting, since Kirkton seems to have a lot of the good areas, you could go on zoopla.co.uk and search for a place using the post code above and selecting about 10 mile radius.
      If you find a place you like, you can checkout the postcode of the accommodation on simd.scot to ensure it meets your criteria.
      (I showed how to find the best place to rent in my video "Renting in Scotland and England" so if you are struggling, the video will be of help)
      I hope this helps.

      Congratulations! I do not personally have any contact for accommodation at this point. You can however follow the steps in my video "renting in Scotland and England " to help you line up accommodations for viewing before you arrive, to shorten the time you may spend in temporary accommodation like hotel or Airbnb. It is very rare to get a permanent non-student accommodation before entering the country as the landlord or agent would want to see you and there is quite a bit of paperwork involved which you would have to sign before collecting the keys. With regards to a temporary accommodation I suggest looking into Airbnb (airbnb.co.uk) or a hotel and plan for at least 2 weeks.
