I like how you go into their background and typical strategies- for us casuals, no idea who these people are half the time aside from "they are really good"
I mean, both players just respecting each other, showing that they have an army capable of ending the game and just trying to be as annoying as possible in order to force the enemy to do the first move. Awesome match.
I am following so many videocreators here on youtube but you are the only one i got this notification stuff turned on. I suck at sc2 but i love the coop mode and you are just as impressive as you are a nice person! Greetings from Germany and keep the good vibes you own!
Glad to see you casting more of ByuNs games. He is one of my favorite players and the way he uses Bio to beat out other strategies is amazing. Just recently I saw him beat SpeCial. SpeCial was using a standard mech build while ByuN was using Bio. ByuN had been pushed back to his natural and was seeming to be in a extreme deficit. While his marauder drops were dealing some major damage to his enemies production, he needed a way to kill the other Terran's army. With beautiful decision making he dropped marauders and marines on top of the siege tanks, so they blew each other up while ByuNs marines stimmed forward and cleaned the rest up. It was a great match and blew my mind with how good ByuN was.
Perhaps one of the most exciting ZvT matches out there. The creep spread, the final mineral lines, the showcasing of almost every unit and arsenal both races have to offer. Simply marvelous!
Good to see ByuN trying stuff out, although I'm kinda sad that this game didn't work out as well as the last one. His use of Ghosts was so cool last time that I allowed myself to be hopeful when I saw him build some BCs this game, but it's sadly clear that the Terran capital ships are still only useful for transitions into losing the game. One day Blizzard will make BCs worth building... One day. =(
It worked out so well with Raynor because Byun solely focused on a heavy ghost build with some tanks and Raynor was too surprised or to worried about tanks to figure out the counter (which were mass lings). I think Byun was trying to see if he could even make his army more mobile with tactical jumps and ghosts(they run almost at stimmed-marine speed). But I think the ghost-tank composition is the best one atm. Massive army units? Ghosts. Swarming light units? Tanks. It covers all units types zerg can throw at it with the only caveat of a "single miss-micro" will cost you the game. But this is where Byun is so powerful. His micro is just way better than most pro players. I feel like this army composition is specifically tailored to his play style. I guess we'll be seeing more "Specialist-Thunder" armies rather than a pure "dominion-based" army.
AndyH 1 I think that can also work. Personally, I'm excited where this build takes Byun. Also, the amount of Terran players that will try this build :D.
mystirboy I'm surprised I didn't see him in this match send out a 4 man squad of reapers or hellions to kill off drones at mineral bases. Being his zerg army was all at the front door of the terran and adv. Units to slow to chase the drone hit squads.
Loving these casts, such an incredible breakdown of everything thats going on, i tried to watch some replays on my own and I had no clue what was going on, really shows how good Lowko is at breaking all this down for us!
I think the counter to Ghosts has to be to get on top of production through drops. Ghosts are too easy to micro back in a scenario with a siege tank line and lots of detection. Edit: or just mine out more than 50% of the map
> Sees Liberators being built > Sees Battlecruisers being built > So many Ghosts > Looks at Zerg army, Oh boy you're in trouble > Maybe just thrash the whole army and follow up with Hydralisks > Snute does that, feels good > But now what? > Brood lord follow up > Zerg
This was one entertaining match for sure. I was wondering how to break that composition but it seems like it can be done. Don't want to spoil this beautiful game for anyone
Beautiful game, its awesome to see a zerg properly dealing with a somewhat invincible deathball from terran. Do you have an almost invincible army? Alright! Lets trade everything I have for half your army, and see who can max out first, good lucky trying to counter every single composition I can make in the next 3 minutes.
Think it would of been a good idea to hit the zerg in the tech in that situation? use 2 or 3 battle cruisers to stop them remaxing on an unfavourable army?
4:51 I know it's a pro game but if he had a planetary defense instead of the Scanner he'd still have SUV's mining away. Especially if you are planning to send your army on the offensive early on. If you stay back with your army and defend then obviously the scanner is better.
Even before the game started I gave you my like, because I know of the quality of your videos, thanks Lowko! (Ps.: Not a single dislike yet, hope you can keep it like that!)
no, byun still had thousands, it was snutes that was empty. replacing the units would have been tough as that was a lot of resources into his units, but he has the last mining base and far more resources than snute.
He had thousands of minerals indeed, but no gas left, and the units that could get Byun out of that cost gas. Making tons of marines against the gg lords, Blinding Clouds and Fungals was not going to work, and that was his only real option at that point. It was gg.
he had 30 supply of troops, and out of all the troops we know snute had if he lost either the brood lords or the coruptors it would have been gg for him. marines in bunkers could beat everything but the broodlords, and a single liberator could beat the army minus the coruptors. he could build either a single ghost to widdle away at the brood lords until he is ready for a final engagement (preferable defensive), or he could bait the coruptors into turrets and then use a single liberator that he could build to carefully beat the rest. of course given that he wasn't completely out of gas with the rest of his bases this means that he has a bit more wiggle room. snute on the other hand had less than 100 minerals, and thus had very few options build wise. guarding the mineral patch and long distance mining would be an option, but this opens him up to being chipped at, which he can't afford to do. a single task force operating behind enemy lines could keep any sort of long distance mining from getting any minerals, unless he went hunting, but then he might get ambushed and lose his corruptors, which if a liberator was built then he might lose. as long as long as byun can shift his tactics to a more guerrilla style then their is a shot at victory, which is probably the only real complaint about progamers: they can't shift their tactics very well to deal with radically different situations. personally i would have liked to see him make a decent effort at pulling a victory out of that defeat, (if it worked) it would have been a really good moment, like diego's comeback, only for a strategy game.
I'm genuinely surprised that not a single Muta was built that game.. The removal of Seeker Missile OBVIOUSLY hurts Terran late game a big time as is though.. They should maybe accompany some long range auto on a different unit in order to justify the change.. Perhaps Cyclone should get a range upgrade for late game or something of those lines IMO.. I mean I guess Zerg wasted a 25k bank in order to fight that late game Terran superior late game comp but in the end felt like not even close :D
My dreams of seeing pro battlecruisers finally came true , ( minus that one game against neeb a while ago , there is never a pro game with a battlecruiser based army)
That can't be balanced. Ghost is a mid tier unit not tier 3. But it is the counter to pretty much all of zergs late game. Snipe kills ultra and broods, emp might as well kill infestors queens AND vipers. It utterly disables them in a fight. The Zerg was dominating almost the whole game, but the only reason Terran didn't win anyways is because he didn't counter attack once. He wiped zergs whole army, and then just sat back and waited for him to rebuild it. If he had counter attacked even once he could have won because zergs army is spread thin across all the hatcheries when it spawns. He have to give up half the map just to regroup his army. Terran could have marched right to zerg tech buildings and the only defense would have been whatever army spawns out of the hive itself.

THIS is how starcraft was meant to be played.
ITS TIME FOR ANOTHER PROFESSIONAL MATCH OF STARCRAFT 2
I like how you go into their background and typical strategies- for us casuals, no idea who these people are half the time aside from "they are really good"
Starcraft II: Cold War version
I mean, both players just respecting each other, showing that they have an army capable of ending the game and just trying to be as annoying as possible in order to force the enemy to do the first move. Awesome match.
The arms race was real bro. This was crazy awesome. Like a history lesson.
38:15 those cute drones !!

Lowko made me come back to SC2, LOVE YOU!
It's been a long time since I've seen a match not rushed to finish. Was a great watch.
never see a TvP lategame as long as this and hoping to see one
Some one saw ByuN sending a svc to repair a mule? It makes the mule last longer? at 2:20
Holy shit
WHAD
That was the sickest late game match ive seen. The tripple zerg switch from ultra/broods into hydras back into broods was just INSANE. perfect counter
Good to see ByuN trying stuff out, although I'm kinda sad that this game didn't work out as well as the last one. Maybe they are releasing sc3 with half life 3

Wow, that was spectacular.
okay that was epic af
abducting Marines, just some pro-gamer thing
to be fair, those Byun marines do more work than seige tanks.
That match was absolutely mindblowing. Lowko please, keep them coming!
One of the best games I've ever watched on Lowkotv. Thank you so much for casting this one Lowko, you are the best.
They should hire you for events in Europe
This whole game near the end felt like a mission in the campaign with the objective of holding out until a certain timer for Terran
Loving these casts, such an incredible breakdown of everything thats going on, i tried to watch some replays on my own and I had no clue what was going on, really shows how good Lowko is at breaking all this down for us!
Awesome play and what great late game timing control with those brood lords.....Can't stop that late game play unless you risk much more!
Why being able to remake 200 army supply in 30 seconds is broken AF
THIS LITERALLY WAS THE BEST GAME I'VE EVER SEEN
if only terran would've won
Byun beat Raynor as TvZ. I'm glad to opposite happen.
You havn't seen too much game then, lol. This was super boring.
The best commentator I ever listened to. Great job!
Now this was by far one of the most epic matches I've seen. Such uniqueness when the game developed into more waiting than attacking. Purely awesome!
Total War: Starcraft
I think the counter to Ghosts has to be to get on top of production through drops. Ghosts are too easy to micro back in a scenario with a siege tank line and lots of detection. Edit: or just mine out more than 50% of the map

whole map mining game...

"oh shit"
Gotta love static defenses
Great introduction to the players, love it
One of the best TvZ that i've seen recently was Kas vs Snute
Awesome game, great commentary as usual - Thanks Lowko!
wow that was a sick game
wow whole map mined he could even make an army of mules
Rian Rizky block Zerg vision by dropping a million mule on his face is a good idea
Marines are essentially free. Mules are actually free (except for energy).
I love how you took the time to mention the Ultralisk splitting into two by a ghost xD
When the unstoppable force meets the immovable object.
This game.

lowko stay safe in the windy conditions!
You're a few days late but thank you! All is well.
Amazing game and cast! If Lowko would add an analysis of the statistics in the end i would say it's a perfect SC2 video :D
That's a whole other level of gameplay right there.
Byun must feel like the cruel mode campaign and wondering "is this the last wave? nah.." Good game!
the best stream I ve ever seen, Byun is good enough to be proud of himself!
lowko drinking game: take a shot everytime lowko says "as well"
Or whatnot or umm
24" monitor + 720p replay = all glory to the StarCraft 2 replay!
This was one entertaining match for sure. I was wondering how to break that composition but it seems like it can be done. Don't want to spoil this beautiful game for anyone
Nukes and BC's in a top level match! Awesome!
He fuckin did it, god damn man. This game had me on the edge of my seat for so long dude.
Why can I only like once?!
Great game thanks for casting
What's so great about this game is a early game unit can win a game. There is so much grey area, all the way to the end game.
Lowko, this game was GLORIOUS! I much prefer this to BO5 and longer.
Sei un grande complimenti mi aiuti a crescere
looks like a mini game put on brutal for the terran, were a seemingly infinite number of zerg just rush into you base. very entertaining
Lowkey expected Infestors to control 1 or 2 SCVs at 23:50.
the swarm always
Imagine BO 7 with 40 minute each. Lowko pls get this from somewhere
byun best micro in the entire starcraft II....moment of silence for Life :c i still miss him

This was like watching a movie dang I lost track of time due how much was going on.
I felt like I was screaming at Terrans all 2017, GHOSTS! Get GHOSTS! Why aren’t you using ghosts!! It makes me happy to see, finally.
Click cool video, realise you've already seen the game on twitch, watch it anyway 'cause Lowko is awesome
Love you Lowko
Good fucking christ, terran is absolutely overpowered.
damnnn,, awesome match. a very fine line managed by Snute, a single misstep and Byun can win the game.
4:51 I know it's a pro game but if he had a planetary defense instead of the Scanner he'd still have SUV's mining away. Especially if you are planning to send your army on the offensive early on. If you stay back with your army and defend then obviously the scanner is better.
Best Game I've Watched
That moment when the 30 corruptors showed up, that was the "gg moment"
Snute and byun my 2 favorite Players in one game:O
Indeed a supreme lategame, because in the middle of the game I found myself thinking "when is the next game gonna start?" this takes long...oh.
Even before the game started I gave you my like, because I know of the quality of your videos, thanks Lowko! (Ps.: Not a single dislike yet, hope you can keep it like that!)
Patience is a virtue
terran = win in 20 mins or leave.
Still feel like an early gg
1un4cy nah when he lost that last fight byuns bank was running dry already

What a game.
My dreams of seeing pro battlecruisers finally came true , ( minus that one game against neeb a while ago , there is never a pro game with a battlecruiser based army)
terran + ByuN = best combination ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Byun shoudl've played this the way he did with Raynor, was a perfect game for a terran
do dis, do dat, over der
HOLY SHIT this is *INTENSE!*
This was a freaking great game.
Saw that on some French streaming, it was fun
I dont think Byun realized that Snute was empty at the end there.

Lowko do you any stocks on the alcoholic drink Four Loko? you should. Great video btw.
I didn't believe Zerg could pull off late game against Terran at a level this high, I was proved wrong.
He goes ghosts. Mass zergings. Nydas worm
wtf to do against Broodlord + Corruptors.
Lose, mostly. If Zerg ever gets to Broodlords, Corruptors, Infestors, and Vipers, the game is over. They just win immediately at that point.
Too bad he didn't have more barracks at the end, the terrain marine spam could have worked especially since the zerg didnt' have any minerals left.
what a game .
fantastic game, more please :D
No nydus worm from Snute, now I'm sad.
I watched this video for a little while longer....than I expected
Terran OP
