    I'm a Spartan, graduated years ago. Berkey Hall was the political science building I used to work after class until 10pm making surveys calls on behalf of BBB, FORD motor company etc. There were non students working there also. College of Ecology, student union building are walking distance, seeing the news footage brings back lots of memories... It was much safer time back then. Lives could have been saved if this campus was not a gun free zone. We need to remember the words of victims of mass shootings in other locations. Ryan Petty, whose daughter was killed in a school, shooting stated that criminals do not obey gun laws. The lead singer of the heavy metal rock band that was performing in Paris, France the night that. ISIS Terrorists shot-up that music venue said that lives could have been saved if somebody in the audience would’ve had a gun.
      We must begin to examine some of our common sense gun laws that have made, gun free zones some of the most dangerous places in America. If we look at locations of mass shootings, we will find that they have occurred in gun free zones. People are safer in the gun store.

      @@marclucido5721 you are wrong, and you need to study spelling as well as looking up the actual statistics on gun violence vs the very limited cases where guns are responsible for saving someone (and usually when that does happen, they are used against someone else with a gun!)

    • @marclucido5721
      @marclucido5721 Рік тому

      @@kerrymoore1961 Well it is not hard to do your own research on the matter but here is the facts. All of which are backed by a multitude of other research articles that would all indicate that you have no clue what you are talking about. Those who pick a part spelling in an unofficial platform, only do so because they can't debate the argument on its face. Here is the research!
      (fee- Guns prevent Thousands of Crimes Every Day, Research Shows) You will find that guns prevent 2.5 million crimes annually and that number has now raised to over 3 million since the crime wave.
      Out of those crimes, 400k are life-threatening violent crimes. From their research, you will find that 60% of convicted felons admitted that they avoided committing crimes when they knew the victim was armed. Finally, you will find that 66% of questioned economists and criminologists answer that gun-free zones are "more likely to attract criminals than they are to deter them".
      So there is your proof that guns save 400k lives a year. You can now go to the CDC website and find that guns in the year 2020 killed 43,222 people. 10x less than the number of people they save. So what is your response to this?

    • @TheGoodNews101

      no but it gives you a significant chance at surviving. And helping others survive as well. Unfortunately we live in a fallen world were evil will always exist. We should be able to defend ourselves from evil and give ourselves the best chance possible. The utopia world that many want were if we get rid of guns we will get rid of murder and mass shootings is a pipe dream. The criminals and murders will have access to guns no matter what law you have forbiding them. That law will only strip the freedom of those who want to protect themselves.

    1:13 Yup, that's the whole point to wearing a mask while doing bad stuff, to cause terror. It's like in horror-movies, the killer has a scary mask on and they seem very imposing and terrifying and make you want to flee. But when the mask comes off, you see they're just some guy, usually not very scary at all, they look meh, and you feel like you could totally kick their butt. That's almost always the case.
    Some real-world examples are El Chapo and BTK; they SOUND like terrifying scary killers but when you see their photos, they're just a short, fat burrito, and the father from _That 70's Show._ In fact, the people who _look_ scary, rarely are actually bad.
    That's the horrible truth of the world, the scary-looking guys get unfairly discriminated against, and the actually-evil guys have an easier time doing evil because people trust them and let their guards down. 🤦
    Remember this math, that statistically, almost all scary people ARE JUST PEOPLE, and when you're in a situation with someone like this, don't think of them as some Terminator unstoppable force, remember they're just a human. That means you can work them like a human, you can distract them, you can fluster them, you can scare them, you can PERMANENTLY HARM and stop them…
    It's not a horror-movie where you can chop the bad-guy up into pieces and they'll magically keep coming at you; in real life, if a -human- monster attacks you, just end them, neutralize that threat; no jury in the world will convict you of "excessive force". 🙄 You're not the aggressor, he is, you're just defending yourself. If he didn't want to die, he shouldn't have attacked you. 🤷
    4:44 That's exactly how republicans what to "solve" the problem of mass-shooters, they think instead of taking guns away from people who love to shoot things, it makes more sense to turn schools into maximum-security prisons with armed-guards, metal-detectors, heavy locked doors, and barbed-wire everywhere. Gee, how helpful. 😒

      this is not a gun issue but a murder issue. Murder is from the heart. Guns are amoral which can be used for good or used for evil. You can't carry on school grounds. It might have ended better than it did if teachers and other adults would have been able to carry. However we will never know because of the crazy laws that prohibit those who want to protect themselves and others.

The utopia world that many want were if we get rid of guns we will get rid of murder and mass shootings is a pipe dream. The criminals and murders will have access to guns no matter what law you have forbiding them. That law will only strip the freedom of those who want to protect themselves.
