I have a Blundstone which I’m thinking of made over exactly like this. My question is, is the midsole actually stitched to the uppers? Or just to the welt? And the welt in turn is just glued to the uppers? I’m just afew towns away (London). Thanks!

In Blake-stitched construction, the welt, midsole, and upper are all stitched together.

@@KWSHOEREPAIR thats good to know. some people say that Blundstones are not worth restoring specially given the cost. but now with your explanation, if the restoration using the Blake stitch is better than the original Blundstone construction then it is worth it. thanks again. i’ll be mailing my Blunnies to you soon.
