My Wellington lions having a good hit out for this season. Thank you Horowhenua-Kapiti for showing up. Good luck to your team for the Heartland championship this year. As for my Lions ... Good start to the season 😊
Good on Horowhenua-Kapiti for turning up and giving the Ranfurly a go. To play against a couple of All Black contenders in Aumua and Umaga-Jensen along with strong Super Rugby contenders in the rest of the Wellington Lions is always going to be a tough game for grass roots club players.
think manuwatu should merge with horowhenua kapiti to make a stronger division one side. Manuwatu can't survive at the top and horowhenua kapiti is right there nextdoor . Would be good to see auckland or Canterbury playing in Levin every now and again in division one games .
Just out of curiosity. Why can’t you guys post stuff on the All Blacks. I think it’s disappointing that nothing has come out yet. No press conferences I have to watch South African UA-cam media to follow the ABs. Your media team need to step up their game. Us Kiwis living overseas enjoy following our team.
Horowhenua coach, please impress on your players that cleaning out players behind the ruck may be useful in some circumstances but when the ruck is within your 5 meter line???? Apart from that the boys kept their heads up and competed for all their worth to the last second, so as a criticism of the coach, just a little nit pick. Kia Kaha for your Heartland campaign!

@@lewiswilliams227how’d that work out for you tonight
Was worried that the professional era would kill the Ranfurly Shield. Sadly I think it has.
Well done my lions...
Too good Wellington
That was forwards out of the hands if I ever saw it, but ya can't begrudge them too much!
Webster none is NOT Ma'am Nonu's son..its his brother's get it right
What nitwit did the Jersey clash between the refs and Wellington?
Nailbiter
I didn't know they could play for the shield lol
this is totally not fair on heartlands teams

Check your facts commentators, Ethan is Ma'as nephew not son LOL 🤣
FORWARD PASS NUA.. Linesman knew it.. but he lives in NUA.
Why horowhenua vs Wellington when they didn’t win there cup
heartland rugby teams never win the ranfurly shield at all
Horowhenua would probably still beat the Wallabies 🤭
